Another wonderful Sunday lunch at this, our local, restaurant that can't be beaten. We learned, from past experiences, to forego their wonderful starters as the mail course is somewhat filling for we oldies. However, this gives us the chance to savour the desserts. On this occasion the order was for a turkey and, my partner, beef. A fantastic plateful of meats and beautifully cooked, al dente, vegetables. Washed down by a reasonably priced, repeat reasonably priced, French Sauvignon Blanc. So many restaurants really do overprice. With a wonderful break which left sufficient room for a dessert. In the case of my partner Eton Mess and she asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. No problem to the kitchen. My cheese board was wonderful. Cheeses that are little known but absolutely delicious with unusual chutneys. Service cannot be beaten, very professional in all cases but extremely friendly. If you are in the area, give it a go because you will not e disappointed. To all you guys and gals, thank you. read more
