They don't serve breakfast nor do they have amenities like a swimming, pool, gym or anything else like that, however ... The hotel is absolutely gorgeous extremely well priced And just a very relaxing place to be. There are five rooms all themed differently with very different set ups. There is a massive kitchen that has everything but food so you can cook whatever you bring, there's even a bbq grill on the beautiful patio. You can even rent out the entire house for parties or reunions. The owners are wonderful people and there are lots of things to do in the area. Loads of restaurants, fishing, hiking, etc.. We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet inn. The people running this place are very detailed! We enjoyed the small touches like completely full toiletries (we had just stayed at a hotel that had full-sized toiletry bottles that were half empty so this was a point of contrast ) and great security. Absolutely loved this place! I accidentally booked the wrong date and Denise was happy to change the date to when I wanted to come. It was very clean and had super cute decorations. There was air conditioning which was awesome! There was also a chocolate dish, a filled water bottle, a very clean bathroom with good shampoo/conditioner, and a stocked coffee machine. If we're ever in Redding we will be staying here again! read more

What a charming little inn! The hosts here could not be more helpful and responsive. Denise and Peggy helped us with everything we needed. They were quick to respond and always so cheerful. The rooms were beautiful and everything here was so very clean. This was a very peaceful place to stay. We got to experience the vineyard room and morning light room. This was due to a booking error on my part, but they were both very nice. There are so many common areas to sit and unwind as well. The kitchen had everything you might need as well. If you are ever in Redding, I highly recommend it! I can't find my photos of the common areas, but I truly can't believe how many sitting areas there are. You could sit down and hang out with others if you wanted, or have plenty of room to avoid them if you wanted that as well. Great place! read more

I booked the Hope Inn through Expedia. The place is quaint. We had a hard time finding the place because it was really dark. The printed directions were confusing too and we chatted with other folks who were trying to check in the very same night. It took us a while to figure out we were in the guest house. It feels like a newly remodeled house with keypad locks on each bedroom to make it feel like an airbnb. Although we did not use much of anything, the place had nice kitchen appliances and a nice full size refrigerator. The bathroom had complimentary Trader Joe's citrus liquid body wash. shampoo and conditioner. There was a nice hairdryer available for use. Coffee and tea were supplied in the kitchen cabinets. read more

Really wonderful place in a quiet and safe part of Redding. Accommodations were luxe and exactly what we needed to unwind. This is surrounded by residential on one side and an active river on the other. The bed and linens were top notch and I always notice when lodging includes two luggage racks. We were in the largest room and the bathroom was over the top and huge. So glad we chose this Inn over a chain hotel. We were very comfortable and happy with our stay. Check in was easy and the owner was helpful in providing guidance about local attractions. Minus one star bc the lights directly outside your guest room doors stay on 24/7 so as a light sleeper the harsh light coming through around the door was bothersome. They may consider several night lights instead of full overhead lights all night. There is a piece of religious artwork as soon as you walk into the Inn's main floor, I assume this is important to the owners, but might be unexpected for some guests of other faiths. read more

This was such a lovely experience! We stayed one night for our honeymoon and we will be returning without a doubt! We stayed in the vineyard room which had a private bathroom, a beautiful shower, and was stocked with robes and plenty of towels. Our room had its own keriug and had many choices for coffee pods, which was great for us. It also had a mini fridge, but the common area and the shared kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could think of! And labeled very clearly. Everything was quiet, peaceful, and check-in/out was super simple! Also, very clean and decorated beautifully. The owner was wonderful and super helpful! The property is gorgeous and has many different places to sit and enjoy the scenery. Would recommend this little gem 10/10! read more

I reserved a room through Expedia.com and have a screen print indicating there would be no money due until I checked into the hotel however the hotel apparently has a different policy. they debited my credit card the full amount which caused my checking account to go into overdraft and they basically said there's nothing they can do. They even had the gall to say they would go ahead and waive the 15% cancellation fee although I'm canceling the reservation a year and a half in advance. Buyer beware before you book a hotel at this place. Waiting for a credit now. read more

We absolutely loved our stay at Hope Inn! The proprietors were very warm and friendly, more than happy to show us around the place and get settled in. Once we had some time to absorb the peaceful surroundings, we realized what a unique setting this Inn has - a great view of the nearby creek and the foothills to the West, with so much wildlife around. We watched hawks, owls, and songbirds, and enjoyed all the sounds of nature. One morning, a deer was feeding along the bank of the creek, and seemed very much at home there. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed the shared space, and made great use of the well-furnished kitchen & bbq area outside. We felt so much at home, it was hard to leave to go out and explore this fantastic area. Hope Inn is very accessible from the nearby freeway, so it is a great place to stay when passing through, or for the entire weekend. We will definitely be coming back again soon! read more

This was a quaint inn. It was very quiet and beautifully decorated. The staff was unobtrusive, in fact we never saw them at all. Check in and check out were done by text. There was a communal kitchen. No TV so you have to take games to entertain your family. read more

incredible! This is the best place that we have stayed at in years. The home was immaculately, clean, and spacious, The hostess Denise was very welcoming, and helpful. The bed was so comfortable! The walk-in shower was soothing after a long day of driving. In addition we went to the Hearth restaurant where we the best French dips sandwiches ever. And the sunset was beautiful. I would absolutely love to host a family reunion here. Great location, perfect atmosphere, wonderful hosts. Perfect for bird watchers, if you need a getaway to finish a work project, want a classier Lake Shasta visit. I wish I lived closer. I'll definitely be returning. If you can get the honeymoon suite the bathtub is worth every penny. I prefer this far more than Air bnb, I don't like contributing to the displacement of families in rentals. I wish the Hope Inn continued success in their business and in their global humanitarian work. Inn is an appropriate name for this establishment. It's not a hotel and it's not a bed-and-breakfast because they do not serve breakfast. The rooms are beautifully done and the beds are extremely comfortable. The owner is very accommodating. As the owner said the rooms do not have television because they made a conscious decision while building, not to put them in, giving instead peace and quiet. Great choice. There is a full kitchen on the first floor that is for guest usage. We noted only one problem with the room and it was not to fault the owner. We are elderly and the shower in the bathroom has a beautifully done river stone flooring which can be very slippery. I do not know how this could be rectified and still have a beautiful appearance so we're just very careful. Just as a suggestion maybe hand grips on the wall would be useful and still not take away from the ambience. We are looking forward to our next stay. read more

Hope Inn was perfect! We had the Shasta room and it was amazing. The room was very large with a California King and a sitting area. It overlooked the beautiful yard. The bathroom felt like it was out of the movies :) It had a huge tub and a massive open shower. The kitchen downstairs had room to store any food or drinks and also had coffee. It is a full kitchen if you want to cook too. The owners were fabulous and very responsive. They told us everything we needed to know before we arrived and greeted us to show us our room, even though we didn't get in until pretty late. They were super friendly. The house was in a great location, just 5 minutes from Bethel, which was perfect for what we needed. And, it looked like a castle, which was super fun! Highly recommend this Inn! read more

We loved our stay at the Hope Inn during our bicycle vacation. It is located very conveniently close to the highway. The owner Denise is very warm, texted us prior to our arrival to see if our travel plans went well and when we arrived she showed us the house and our room. We had the honey moon suite in the second floor, which has a "Himmelbett" and a uniquely shaped bathroom with freestanding tub and floor level shower. The interior design is a nice combination of modern elegant furniture and artwork and sculptures of Africa which gives the entire house a very warm atmosphere. Although we used the kitchen only for making some tea and dessert, we could see that it was very well equipped. The house is situated in a beautiful garden with inspiring views to a creek. We felt refreshed after our two nights here and continued our journey in great spirits. In case we come up to Redding again we will definitely stay at the Hope Inn again. read more

Such a lovely, relaxing stay. The hosts are very nice and helpful. We stayed in the Shasta room and it felt so nice and welcoming. The large tub easily can fit two people and feels very relaxing. They allow you to use the kitchen for as much cooking as you want. It is stocked full of appliances and utensils. I would stay here over a hotel any day. So much nicer and more relaxed. read more
