    Morning light room

Absolutely loved this place! I accidentally booked the wrong date and Denise was happy to change the date to when I wanted to come. It was very clean and had super cute decorations. There was air conditioning which was awesome! There was also a chocolate dish, a filled water bottle, a very clean bathroom with good shampoo/conditioner, and a stocked coffee machine. If we're ever in Redding we will be staying here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet inn. The people running this place are very detailed! We enjoyed the small touches like completely full toiletries (we had just stayed at a hotel that had full-sized toiletry bottles that were half empty so this was a point of contrast ) and great security. The room, and entire house, were very clean. We are so glad we stopped here and would visit again.

What a charming little inn! The hosts here could not be more helpful and responsive. Denise and Peggy helped us with everything we needed. They were quick to respond and always so cheerful. The rooms were beautiful and everything here was so very clean. This was a very peaceful place to stay. We got to experience the vineyard room and morning light room. This was due to a booking error on my part, but they were both very nice. There are so many common areas to sit and unwind as well. The kitchen had everything you might need as well. If you are ever in Redding, I highly recommend it! I can't find my photos of the common areas, but I truly can't believe how many sitting areas there are. You could sit down and hang out with others if you wanted, or have plenty of room to avoid them if you wanted that as well. Great place!

I booked the Hope Inn through Expedia. The place is quaint. We had a hard time finding the place because it was really dark. The printed directions were confusing too and we chatted with other folks who were trying to check in the very same night. It took us a while to figure out we were in the guest house. It feels like a newly remodeled house with keypad locks on each bedroom to make it feel like an airbnb. Although we did not use much of anything, the place had nice kitchen appliances and a nice full size refrigerator. The bathroom had complimentary Trader Joe's citrus liquid body wash. shampoo and conditioner. There was a nice hairdryer available for use. Coffee and tea were supplied in the kitchen cabinets.

Loved this place! Greeted by Denise upon arrival and shown around the property. Great amenities and beautiful location. We stayed in the Vineyard room which has two entrances with keyless entry. Hand sanitizer available throughout the property durning Covid, very clean. Nestled in a quaint community with lots of great places to eat within 10 min drive. 10/10 highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hope Inn! The proprietors were very warm and friendly, more than happy to show us around the place and get settled in. Once we had some time to absorb the peaceful surroundings, we realized what a unique setting this Inn has - a great view of the nearby creek and the foothills to the West, with so much wildlife around. We watched hawks, owls, and songbirds, and enjoyed all the sounds of nature. One morning, a deer was feeding along the bank of the creek, and seemed very much at home there. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed the shared space, and made great use of the well-furnished kitchen & bbq area outside. We felt so much at home, it was hard to leave to go out and explore this fantastic area. Hope Inn is very accessible from the nearby freeway, so it is a great place to stay when passing through, or for the entire weekend. We will definitely be coming back again soon!

Such an adorable place to stay! My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary in the Shasta Suite and it was lovely! If you are staying in Redding, come here!!

I would absolutely love to host a family reunion here. Great location, perfect atmosphere, wonderful hosts. Perfect for bird watchers, if you need a getaway to finish a work project, want a classier Lake Shasta visit. I wish I lived closer. I'll definitely be returning. If you can get the honeymoon suite the bathtub is worth every penny. I prefer this far more than Air bnb, I don't like contributing to the displacement of families in rentals. I wish the Hope Inn continued success in their business and in their global humanitarian work. If you need snacks or a quick bite the mini mart up the street is actually really really great and so is the attached cafe.

Inn is an appropriate name for this establishment. It's not a hotel and it's not a bed-and-breakfast because they do not serve breakfast. The rooms are beautifully done and the beds are extremely comfortable. The owner is very accommodating. As the owner said the rooms do not have television because they made a conscious decision while building, not to put them in, giving instead peace and quiet. Great choice. There is a full kitchen on the first floor that is for guest usage. We noted only one problem with the room and it was not to fault the owner. We are elderly and the shower in the bathroom has a beautifully done river stone flooring which can be very slippery. I do not know how this could be rectified and still have a beautiful appearance so we're just very careful. Just as a suggestion maybe hand grips on the wall would be useful and still not take away from the ambience. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Stayed here on a whim on a Thursday in February ~ I'm so glad I did…read more I am an In-Home Supportive Services Provider (IHSS) in California, USA. I was traveling with a client of mine who has very occasional seizures, and early on in our first morning here he had one while alone in the shower. Luckily, this hotel is sandwiched between lots of different hotels and restaurants, but more importantly, between the fabulous Shasta Regional Medical Center the proximate Redding Fire House. First Responders were on site in about ten minutes (which felt like an hour) and transpo went smoothly despite there being no elevator and us being on the second floor (the staircase has a landing and everything). Now, this is all well and good, and relatively standard if I may be so bold, but I'm here to say that the staff at the Americana went way above and beyond the call of duty. Housekeeping was in the next room when he collapsed. When I saw the severity of the situation I-in a relative panic, ran over to nearby staff to ask for help. This incredible woman, Darby, was the perfect person to help (second only to an actual first responder, RN or doctor). After calming the situation down with nothing but grace, she explained a little bit of her own history with seizures and what it meant to her to be able to help us in any way. Darby supported my client and I both physically and emotionally while he came out of his seizure and fell into a deep sleep, thank God, and she even stayed with me for a few minutes after he had been loaded into the ambulance. She and her boss, the manager Heather, and another lovely woman from the Americana whose name I never caught, were so supportive, kind and patient with me while I tried my best to help the PMs gather the information they needed about my client. I'd imagine some people had to check in or out a bit late because of us, sorry! But I couldn't be bothered by other guests after how helpful the staff was. PS . He was cared for in the nearby SRMC, a great hospital about two blocks away. He is now home and in stable condition. TL,DR Staff came in clutch for IHSS worker when senior client had a seizure in the shower - Housekeeper & management absolutely rock The local hospital is excellent!!

This hotel is north of the city away from shopping and restaurants in the main part of Redding. The parking lot is shared with the Fairfield By Marriott. After reading reviews of both properties, my wife choose the Home 2 Suites. Check in was a little slow both times as there is only one employee working the front. But, they did their job as best they could. No upgrades to a larger room as I don't have status. We were given a room with 2 queens, exactly as we reserved. The room had a nice sofa, seating area and a large screen tv. Bathroom was large size and had soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion from Zero. They have a gym on the first floor with stationary bikes and treadmill for cardio. Dumbbells and a weight machine are available if you need to lift weights. A laundry room is part of the gym. The gym was adequate, though a little strange to have people in there waiting for the washing machine or dryer. It's a good hotel to stop at after a long drive north. I am a Hilton honors member so I knew I would have a good experience since I have always had them in other Hilton's in the past. I arrived to check in around 10pm and the front desk clerk was not present. I waited anther 5 minutes til someone noticed I was there and she was behind the desk in what looked like an office. She said she would be with me as soon as she finished up her closing duties and I waited another 5-10 minutes to be helped. I gave her my name for my reservation and she then stated I didn't have a reservation. I had the confirmation in a text. she was not friendly or polite, nor did she smile she said I "don't know what to tell you but you dont have a reservation" I then told her that it was my insurance that had made the reservation and I have the confirmation text and email. She then said well your name isn't in here. At this moment I knew there was clearly something wrong with this woman....and she did not want to help me. She didn't ask me for the confirmation number or say "let's get this figured out" she wanted to turn me away. She finally asked me if there could be another name that my reservation could be under and it happened to be my maiden name. I gave my ID she looked at it and said that she cannot allow me to check in because my ID did not match the name that it was registered under. I told her that I did not have an ID with my maiden name and she replied with well, you're not gonna be able to check in tonight unless I have an ID that matches the reservation name. she was very abrasive and dismissive and ready to turn me away. She did not have the usual custome service attitude ...saying "lets help you figure this out" She said I was going to have to take care of it tomorrow. I told her I had no where to go my home was deemed unlivable at the moment and I called the insurance company for them to clear it up for her she was also aggressive to the women from the insurance company telling her she could not check me in unless she made another reservation and made it very difficult for the woman even tho she confirmed my identity and the authorization. luckily I had a wonderful customer service from my insurance company and they went above and beyond to try and make sure that I was able to have a place to stay. The reissued the reservation in my name and as it was getting all cleared up the clerk reminded me that "she was not rude to me and she was helping me" which was laughable she was actually trying to turn me away. I have never in my life had an interaction at a hotel that prides themselves in excellence treat me so awful in a time where I felt the most vulnerable. Then I was told the clerk was going around asking staff if my girls ages 17,14,10 were left unattended "they went to the desk to get the WiFi password" so I cannot renew my reservation after my 8 day stay...this is diabolical if you ask me. And not once did they say while checking in that kids could not walk to the lobby without my presence. They are well behaved teenage girls ...come on!

I was so happy with my bed and breakfast experience that I definitely will trust my fellow reviewers in the future. First, Janelle was super accommodating and let me check in early because I would be attending the wedding and needed to get ready. She followed up with me on text message as to my arrival time to make sure that she would be there to greet me. When I walked in, I noticed my phone number was coded to the key pad entrance to the B&B. So cool! Janelle was there to greet me and give me an envelope with my key and instructions. I went up with her to the bedroom and needless to say, was so impressed with her style and quality that she brings to her B&B. The room seemed to be flawless in the way that she spent time picking out pictures and linens. The linens were even washed in a very nice fabric softener and didn't have that normal "hotel" smell. I was able to get the Sun Dial Room, and even though it was the most expensive, it was definitely worth every penny. There was a fresh, large bottle of water in the room with chocolates. I had free wifi and a nice flat screen TV. A jacuzzi tub. And oh, did I mention.. the best, most comfortable bed that I never wanted to leave? Top it off.. breakfast in the morning makes me giddy just thinking about it. I had french toast, a vegetable frittata, potatoes, chicken/apple sausage, fresh juice and coffee. Janelle served breakfast promptly at 8:30 and I was definitely there with bells on. Everything was served family style and while eating breakfast you are able to enjoy the company of other guests, which makes breakfast that much more entertaining. For a few bucks more, stay at this bed and breakfast. Completely avoid the Howard Johnson or other chain hotel. You will not be disappointed.
