My mom ordered the other way, 2 birria and 1 cabeza and there wasn't a difference in look or flavor. I forgot to take a picture. My dad ordered a consomé, which is like the broth, and it was meh. It was too greasy and lacked flavor. We were headed to Ratio, and Moyas happened to be set up outside. LUCK! The folks at the window were smiling, cheerful, and appreciative, which is always nice. But the star of the show was the tacos. With tons of food trucks, local vendors, breweries, and live bluegrass - it was not to be missed. I opted to pick up the beerfest ticket to go with my admission. This installment of Oktobergrass scattered the breweries present throughout the market. I actually liked this more than I anticipated. It made it much easier to meander and browse the vendors; while refilling my commemorative taster glass along the way. Love it! The breweries present included names like: Breckenridge Brewery, 14er Brewing Company, Cerebral Brewing Company, Aspen Brewing Company, and Oscar Blues Brewing - to name a few. The breweries even had a few special tappings for 4 pm! Tons of different vendors were present. Clothes, accessories, pet products, food, and so much more! I had a so much fun browsing the booths. I almost left with some great creative art pieces from Two little Fruits, a succulent, a fanny-pack from B Fresh (it was so retro and awesome), and some clever cozy shirts. I had to dial back my excitement; mostly for my wallets sake. Ha! Some of the best food trucks were present to help satisfy those hungry tummies. I chose to nosh on some tasty eats from Little India. Seriously one of my favorite Indian food trucks! Their chicken tikka masala is the BEST! There were other trucks serving up tacos, hots dogs, arepas, and many more! Live music was provided my Coal Town Reunion during my visit. They were awesome! The space in front of the stage was set up to dance, play some cornhole, giant jenga, or just kick back and take it all in. There was a large bar set up serving various Modelo products or a specialty Moscow Mule made with GB Picketts ginger beer syrups. Seriously amazing. They even have a spicy ginger beer. So good! Instead of a lemonade stand, my friends and I had a sidewalk food stand, where we sold pizza and hot pretzels to our neighbors. And now I work in downtown Denver, and I could go to a food cart everyday if I wanted to. So I've walked by Empanadas Argentina's blue umbrella a number of times, always on my way to someplace else and always thinking to myself "I've got to try that cart!" So I did. Today. And it's delicious. They have 4 kinds of empanadas: Spicy Chicken, Beef, Ham & Cheese, and Spinach with White Sauce. He was out of Spicy Chicken (damn you guy that just bought them all from under me!) but was cooking more up in his cart's oven. So I opted for the 3 empanadas for $5, and got 1 of each of the remaining choices. You have to get at least 3. I could probably have eaten 3 more. They aren't that big. The beef was by far the best. Flavorful, kinda cheesy with an outstanding buttery yet flaky crust. My second favorite was the Spinach. I was expecting more of an alfredo sauce for the white sauce, but it wasn't nearly as rich. Just enough sauce to give the spinach creaminess, yet little enough to not overwhelm the spinach. Same flaky crust. Finally, the Ham & Cheese. Also good, but it just seemed like a better quality/tasting hot pocket to me. Of course, it had that signature flaky crust. So if you're walking down 16th st. and have a hankering for a quick bite, grab some empanadas from Empanadas Argentina. You won't be sorry.

The vegan dumplings were good but I wish that I had made my ratio the other way around-- 3 pork and 2 vegan. I don't really like pork and try to avoid it when possible, but these were amazing! I only wish I had a chance to try the chicken. They also had various dipping sauces that really complimented the flavors of the dumplings. My favorite was the spicy chili garlic sauce.
