HelloFresh Tunisian Spice and Tandoori Spice

This is a top notch shop. I always receive above and beyond customer service. Caryn is passionate and highly knowledgeable. I was getting this custom spice blend made by Hello Fresh but didn't know the ingredients. I told her what it tasted like and what it was put on, and she gave me samples of two spices. Both were close, but one was spot on. Later they delivered this spice again with the ingredients listed. I compared it to the original and WOW. They are practically the same! And she did all of that by just me telling her the taste and what it was usually added to.

I've been buying spices from this local shop for many years. This shop is a place where I can spend a lot of time because of their huge selection of spices that one could only see in countries such as Turkey. It is a true gem and it's right here in Denver! I bought Hungarian Paprika, Smoked Sweet Spanish Paprika, and Ceylon "True" Cinnamon sticks. I came home I realized that I'm out of Ceylon "True" Cinnamon powder as you can see in my photos, so instead of being frustrated I'm actually super excited that I have to go back. P.S. I noticed that you can bring your own containers and fill them up with your favorite spices.

Was walking through the city showing my mom who is visiting the sights and we saw this place and decided to check it out, for which I'm grateful we did. The place has so many different flavors from all around the world and for different cooking styles. Coming in, they have al.sot every spice available for smelling and if you feel like it tasting them before you buy them, that way you know what your buying before hand. The staff was friendly and able to answer any questions my mom and I had as well as getting my mom to sign up for their membership. When I run out of the spices that I bought I'll have to come back here in the future.

Husband and wife Mike and Janet Johnson have an amazing concept with this shop. You hear it over and over again on THE FOOD NETWORK or anytime you tune into a cooking program...the quality of food that you use will ultimately make your food better or worse depending on which ingredients you choose. Every week, the small team grinds the seasonings and spices in small batches and you can take as much as you choose. IE: 1/2 oz. of Cinnamon is only $1.00 and imagine how tasty and how healthful your baked goods will be with that little bit of loveliness. They also sell extracts in many flavors. If you're a baker (I am! I am!) and you want to add exotica to your next cookie, pop in and grab a bit of Lime or Kiwi extract! And if you think you have a good vanilla in your pantry, come on over and give theirs a whiff. It's easy to want a total pantry vamp-up after a visit to the SS Shop.

The best part of the store is that you can try every single spice in your hand and lick it up... Can't be that great on sanitation, but it was a nice appetizer.... I was going to town on the pine nut pesto cheese one, and I also really enjoyed the blue cheese spice. I might have eaten half a pound of cheese! I ended up buying the Red Rocks Hickory Smoke Seasoning for our bbq... Which of course we forgot about when we were grilling and forgot to use, but I have licked it off of my palm a couple of times just to relive the moment. We used it last night and the chicken NEVER been better... it was amazing! This is an incredibly awesome store that grinds and combines all of its own spices right there on location in the basement of the store. The great 15th and Platte location keeps this little spice store hoppin with all sorts of visitors. The best part of going down to Platte and 15th is smelling the spices in the air as you stroll down to head into a caf or to pick up some wine. This is a great store to be a local stop for all your cooking... We are talking dips, chicken, fish, meat, veggies, popcorn, oatmeal, cookies, brownies... Everything. The best part is that you can just test every single flavor and if you don't like it or took too much then you can just put it on the floor... I swear, that is what the worker there told me to do... I love being messy. * Savory star one is for being a unique store in a popular spot ** Curried star two is for the incredible smells that ooze from the shop when I walk by ***pesto'd powered star three is for incredibly helpful staff who know there spices and are not pushy **** Garlic'd star four is for affordable spices at $3.95 for almost 3oz. *****Cayenne star five is for being in a hip urban location, and encouraging home cooking and baking at its finest.

We've been shopping at Savory Spice since it opened - we haven't purchased spices anywhere else since. I'm not sure I can add much to what has already been said by my fellow yelpers who have also awarded Savory Spice five stars. Not only are the spices and spice blends the freshest you can find anywhere, but they are less expensive than what you can buy at the grocery store. Also, once you buy a spice in bottle, you can save the bottle and just buy small bags to replenish your supply. What a great concept! Recently Mike and Janet (owners) were on an episode of Food Network's Paula Dean show. Not only did they do a great job (they should have their own show) but they really brought out the importance spices in cooking. After each visit to Savory Spice, we start building our list for our next visit.

This Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory inside Denver Pavilions on 16th Street Mall between Tremont and Glenarm is small, but they have so many delicious chocolate favorites to choose from. How to order your chocolates is kind of like a deli counter in a grocery store - you select your chocolates of choice and then you pay once you complete your purchase. It's that simple. I ordered a chocolate caramel square, a chocolate s'mores square, and picked up a small bag of chocolate malt balls. I really wanted to order more but I'm trying to watch what I eat these days. I wanted to get a picture of these yummy chocolates, but I ended up consuming all of them back at the hotel in one night. Both the caramel and s'mores squares were difficult to bite into at first, but they were still delicious and very chocolatey. The chocolate malt balls reminded me of those chocolate whopper candies, but way better and way bigger. I want a chocolatier just like this back home in Las Vegas. So, so good!

First note it was absolutely delicious soft and chewy. Second note I am concerned because this company has been involved in misleading label information regarding calorie content and ingredients. I admit I do buy these nutrition products for the low carb and high protein content. I found that these products especially Atkins do not raise my blood sugar. My cholesterol levels also went down for about six months until I returned to dairy eating. I do stay away from the nutrition shakes and drinks or anything with fruit flavors.
