They don't deliver when they say they will. Their customer service is terrible, they don't listen or even care what you have to say. They hang up on you, talk over you, and don't resolve any problems. They are vastly inappropriate and unprofessional. Let me start by saying I DO NOT have a problem with the West Bend store. My problem is with customer service for on-line orders. That just wasn't an option here. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. Placed an order on-line with a Visa gift card. Their on-line system supposedly doesn't accept Visa gift cards. Even though it processed and gave me an order number. They cancelled my order and claim they refunded my $100 to my Visa gift card. Which most people would know isn't possible. It says right on the paper the card came in that store refunds are not accepted to the card. Now $100 isn't a lot to HD but given everything else going on around us right now, $100 is a lot of money to a working family. They won't give me an HD gift card and cannot even tell me where the refund went. There is just some money floating around in limbo I guess. And yes, Vias was no help either. So now I'll go shopping at Lowes or my local hardware store. read more

I purchased a dishwasher from this store, and while that part went well, everything after went bad. It was originally supposed to be delivered/installed on 06/08 but something happened to the driver and was rescheduled for 06/11. When it arrived, the installer told me that the shutoff valve wasn't compatible and that a plumber would contact me within 24 hours. After 24 hours went by, I called the Appliance Support (afternoon of 06/12), and was then told that it would be 24-48 hours for the plumber to call. After 48 hours went by, I called Appliance Support again and was then told it would be 48-72 hours, and I expressed my displeasure with the constantly changing timeframe. I called the store, and was told that they use an outside company and they would have to call the same number. I was offered no help. It has now been over 72 hours, and I have heard nothing. This place seriously needs to train their employees!! Is absolutely ridiculous to have people working in departments they know nothing about. If someone is working in example plumbing they should know what is in their department and have some knowledge of what they are selling. Recently purchased a water softener from this Home Depot. Today returned to get a different hose for back. The lady in the department was in a daze and kept trying to look at things for water heaters...... I numerous times stated was for a water softener that was purchased from this exact store. She looked at my brother and I like we were crazy. She was absolutely no help whatsoever and it didn't seem like she cared one bit that she couldn't help us properly. read more

After being treated like dirt from the Grafton HD, we trek out to this one on the weekends now. Night and day difference. The carpeting lady that's been married for 42 years was a real hoot. We chose carpet for our whole house based off her experience and thoughtfulness. Our WHOLE house... that we will live with for the foreseeable future. Let that sink in for moment. I don't know this person at all. Yet somehow she was able to teach me enough about "face Oz" of carpets and nylon vs poly to help guide me to a better choice than I ever could have made on my own. It wasn't just her either. People passing by would pause just long enough, if I made eye contact - with a smile - they would ask if I needed help. Some would just say hello. And that's perfect. I never felt pressured or harassed in anyway. The people here are an asset to this company. Even the self check out attendant was kind and helpful. Best part? The registers are by the entrance! So happy to have a more pleasant HD to visit than the terrible concrete tomb that is the Grafton location. read more

Purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot with a very helpful sales person. No issue with the sales department but the installers they contract with were very difficult to work with. A 12 hour delivery window is required and when they did come, they couldnt install the new appliance so they put my old one back in. They failed to tighten the water supply bolt and water ended up under my tiles and downstairs ceiling tiles. No big deal as those can be replaced but Home Depots corporate resolution dept gave me a number and extension then never returned my calls. Even after the contracting company sent out the supervisor (who was very friendly and understanding) to inspect the damage they still couldnt come out and accommodate a morning time until the 4th try. I amended this review after the install. Once we could finally get a time, the installers were professional and easy to work with. But the Home Depot service recovery department returned my two phone messages on the damage they caused. The dishwasher is nice but I would not recommend having them install it. They have a very poor service department and really poor service recovery. read more

Worst experience ever. Ordered custom blinds in March. It is now August and they still are not installed. First, mismeasured. Then, mistake after mistake with installation. Wrong rods, wrong sizes. Lots of apologies, but obviously insincere. It is the second week of August, we have a garage full of rods that don't work and we have spent countless wasted days waiting for installations that never happened. Will we ever get our blinds? At this point, who knows? Would NEVER deal with this store again. Whether they ever come through with the blinds we bought and paid for remains to be seen. read more

And maybe I'm the only one, but I personally feel nothing but pity for the "greeters" at the front of retail stores, actually adds even more of the already bitter taste in my mouth about the way I feel regarding our current economy, pretty much the opposite of which I'm sure the businesses are trying to portray. I recently purchased my first home and needed to buy items ranging from paint to storage containers, a garage door opener, lighting fixtures, appliances, etc. Basic retail training: When a person comes to you who KNOWS what they want, you put the person who's shopping or can't decide on "hold" and help the first priority/buyer customer complete their transaction. i.e. When I tried to buy paint, I had the gallon of paint, color swatch, just needed it mixed, but the clerk was SOOOO engrossed in trying to help another customer find the right color that the clerk basically even tried to put ME on hold while the other customer went and browsed some more. I did snap finally after standing there for 10+ minutes (WAY beyond my normal threshold) and said, "Would you please just mix my paint so I can get out of here?!" Retail service counters are not the same as the checkouts-they're more like waiting tables-waitstaff would go broke if they ignored the later seated table until the first table decides to order. The same thing happened when I went to buy a washer and dryer. Usually, if there is more than one clerk, it seemed as though they were more intent on ordering their lunches (guess I just don't "look" like a buyer?) NO product knowledge other than re-reading the tags on the items I'd already read (in a few cases I'd read the manuals inside the units themselves and pointed out key features to THEM!). I ended up buying a used set from a small local business, not a new stack-able set as I'd wanted, but cheaper, great service and they work for a fraction of the price. Plus, convenient (after 5 and Saturdays) FREE delivery and installation. Same thing again when I went to buy a dishwasher (the small local business carries no new inventory, the other small local business is too expensive). This time, there was only one clerk in the appliance department, helping some guy shop for refrigerators while his wife and kids walked around. I read the tags, researched and had my selection made within 5 minutes, just needed to BUY it and set up delivery. There was NO interrupting the sales clerk to say, "Excuse me, can I buy this?" I ended up finding a guy in another department to try to help me-he couldn't answer any questions. He even tried to get the other clerk's attention to help me, no chance. He did finally sell me the dishwasher I wanted, but only because I knew what I wanted and from the information I was able to get via my smartphone and personal research. Product Training. If you aren't going to adequately staff your departments with people to answer ALL questions on ANY of the products in their department (not just the info off of the tags) then the tags on the items should ALL have the necessary information and FEATURES related to that specific product, NOT just a handful of key points. How many place settings? What are the different modes? Does it have steam? What is the energy star rating? What is the sound level? How many sprayer arms? Hard food disposal? Does this have delay wash? Etc. PLUS: Big cards displayed showing how much installation will cost. As for their website-again, it seems so basic, but people don't want to see images of the door of the dishwasher cracked open, they want to see the fully open door, sprayer arms, racks, etc. They're kinda shooting themselves in the foot because most people are probably making their decisions based upon prices and customer reviews-in my case, I've seen some of the highest reviews for dishwashers based upon "quietness", nothing at all about how effective it is at cleaning dishes??? While quiet is important, it's NOT my most important feature, cleaning dishes properly, which apparently isn't offered as a survey question? I don't care if I can place stemware in the upper tray and unlike a lot of respondents, I know you can remove the plastic silverware tray lids if you want (which a lot of them complained about as 'ease of use' and negatively reviewed because of). read more

This place deserves 0 stars!!! Horrible experience for carpet installation!!! They said my home wasn't 100% ready!! Was I supposed to move all my furniture outside?? The men who came to install didn't move one piece of furniture out of the living room, which I moved the couches myself!!! Then they just packed up and left!!! With my paid for carpet!!! I called the store and asked them to either get these guys back here or at least bring me back my paid for carpet...she said they can't do that??!! Really??? Throw the dead plants out already no one wants to buy such awful plants!! Today I went into Home Depot to purchase a new garden hose. Upon approaching the check out a very friendly and helpful man in the lawn and garden section asked me what I planned to use the hose for. I told him and he recommended I purchase a hose they had on sale for the same price, was 50 ft longer and better quality. He showed me the item and I knew right away looking at the hose it was indeed better quality. I thanked him for letting me know, followed his advice, and purchased the other item. This is not the 1st time I have received great customer service in this store. I have gone in various times for paint, nuts/bolts, and other items and somebody has always asked me if I needed help and have been friendly. I have also used their online website to purchase items that were either in the store or they ordered. Both times I picked up at store for free (no delivery charges). When my item was ready for pick up they promptly texted me to let me know it was ready. (One time I placed an order and it was ready in 30 minutes!). I always go to Home Depot now for all my supplies. Quality items, good prices, and excellent service. :) read more

I had stopped in at the home depot and talked to the workers at the pro desk.
