He looked at my fridge and diagnosed it as a faulty defroster causing the issue. However, when I came home from work later that day, I found that my fridge was again no longer working. I sent them a message, and they could come out the next day to take a look. When he came out, we discovered the electrical panel was the issue. He explained that when the electrical panel fails, even after it is repaired, other issues tend to follow, requiring additional repairs over time. He took the time to explain this thoroughly, answered my questions, and gave me the option to repair the electrical panel or get a new fridge. I appreciated that he took the time to explain everything so I could make an informed decision. Ultimately, I chose to replace the refrigerator, and they changed their initial visit from a repair to a diagnostic visit and refunded me the difference. I recommend Vinny's if you need an appliance repair. They're very responsive and honest, and the pricing is fair.

She did not think this was unreasonable and talked about how the diagnosis is applied to the cost of repairs. But if you decline repairs, you get charged anyway. A $60 charge for the five minutes would have been acceptable. But this is just a rip-off. Look for a company that doesn't add these bogus charges.
