They were not Wolf-certified but claimed to be familiar with Wolf products. Suffice it to say, I was charged for an incorrect diagnosis, an unnecessary part, and labor that did not resolve the problem. With Wolf ovens, costs are high, so this was a frustrating and expensive lesson. After a series of cancellations and a runaround about their availability, I decided not to invite them back. That's when I turned to Akrit. I emailed them on a Sunday and received a call Monday morning. The technician was at my house within an hour and a half. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the correct part on hand, and replaced it on the spot -- all while walking me through my oven and range and educating me on things I hadn't known before. He was knowledgeable, informative, kind, patient, and a consummate professional. This company clearly holds itself to a high standard. My technician's name was Alfonso, and if I ever need work done on my oven or range again, Akrit Appliance Service will be my first and only call.

We cannot say enough good things about Christian. He was polite, approachable, well-mannered, very informative and, most of all, honest. By the time he got done with his diagnosis, everyone agreed it would cost us less to buy a new unit than it would be to dump the money in to fix the old one. That is what we did. And we thank Christian for showing us options. I am not sure who trained this guy, but he is the real deal. Naturally, we hope we don't have to see you too often. But when we do, it is Christian we will be asking for.

Date of service: March 21, 2025…read more Really appreciated that I could schedule an appointment online with Mr Appliance through their website as I tend to be crazy busy during working hours and loathe leaving voicemails for companies and playing phone tag. Jalen with Mr Appliance also came when they said they would come and resolved the issue quickly and easily. The issue was a grinding noise that our less than three year old dryer was making. an obvious sign that something was not right. Jalen suspected a potential blower motor issue and got to work on resolving it. 25 minutes later the problem was fixed: Excess lint buildup that got through the lint trip and into the machine, causing the motor to have to work harder than it needed to. He showed me all of the lint he pulled out, but he piled it up on the runner below the dryer and on the top of our glass-topped washing machine, requiring me to clean off the washer and wash the runner. In addition, it was $243 for less than a half hour of his time. If the service call is $129, that would make the hourly rate $200 for Mr Appliance--I am clearly in the wrong line of work! Unfortunately I can't really give more than three stars given the cost and cleanup from the appointment.

Our eight year old LG front loading washing machine suddenly started to sound like a jet taking…read moreoff, so we called a long-time known and well established appliance repair business that used to be near our house to come and service the machine: Milwaukee Appliance. First thing, we were told that, even though they moved their space, it is the same business. On his arrival the technician, Greg, who is also now the owner of MKE Appliance, immediately diagnosed the problem as bad bearings. (By the way, Greg stated he has worked for the company more than thirty years). Greg told us that the cost of the repair would not be worth the investment and that we should get a new machine, instead. The matching LG dryer also had a few issues that needed repairing, but during the discussion, Greg offered us a new Maytag washer and dryer for a very good price and give us an additional $200.00 credit toward the new machines because he felt that, after repairing the dryer, he would be able to sell it as a used machine. While he was at the house, I checked Online pricing on the Maytag models he referred to... the top of the line models, and verified that the pricing he offered was, indeed, good pricing. Greg also sold us a warranty package for both machines; a four-year extension of the one-year warranty for $150.00 per machine. I thought this was good insurance, a better warranty price than the big box stores offer. That was Wednesday, 3/19/14. Today, Friday, 3/21/14, we are the proud owners of a brand new Maytag washer and dryer. The office contacted us early in the AM and told us when the installers would arrive; they did so, on-time. The installation crew did a great job and we currently have smiles on our faces.

Charged me $209 for a diagnosis and trip charge. 20 minutes of wasted time and I still have the same problems.
