This Home Depot has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I made an expensive purchase and did curbside pickup. I waited over 30 minutes in my car and nobody ever came out. I finally had to call the store, only to be told that the person handling curbside was "alone at customer service." Meanwhile, I watched multiple employees walking in and out with carts like nothing was going on. When my order finally came out, it wasn't even in a box! Just loose, like some random item thrown together. When I questioned it, the employee tried to lie and say it was a demo. Then changed the story and said "that's just how it comes." They even had the nerve to mark my order as picked up after I rejected it. The ONLY positive was the man actually working at customer service -- he was kind and trying his best. But overall, this location needs serious management attention. Terrible experience. read more

Do Home Depot employees make commission ? I was recently in there and I got stopped by so many employees when my mom and I were picking out materials with our contractor. It definitely was much more pushy than helpful "let me know if you need anything". Maybe they were bored but I felt like we were being circled by vultures like when go to a car dealership. I have been a loyal customer of Warrington PA Home Depot since they opened their doors. My entire family shopped here. All the good retired contractors that were educated have been replaced with people with zero contracting skills. Also no one answers the phone in the flooring department! I paid to have a carpet measure the guy submitted the wrong quote then Home Depot charges me for another measure then the quote is wrong AGAIN! I call no one picks up the phone! I drive there and Bobby is having conversations and looks at me and said oh Olivia will contact you which she never did! I call speak to mgmt and they say I'll get help when they reach out to another mgmt person! Over all the renovations I must have spent 200,000+ at this store NOW it is ABSOLUTELY pathetic!!! My son had a deck project to do and bought something that had been broken , returned, and put back out on the shelf. There was a drill bit jammed into the drill and was quite obvious that it was used before He approached the returns woman, who had an attitude towards him in general from the beginning. Warily she listened as he showed her the jammed up used tool that he'd just purchased, looking more and more as if she'd rather not be there helping him. This woman, black, 45 years old or so, was rude, unhelpful and dismissive towards him. Her parting words were: "You can EXCHANGE IT". Then TURNED HER BACK ON HIM. He ended up leaving the tool with this person and buying a new one, which I told him was the wrong thing to do and he should have gone back to this unpleasant individual and spoken to the manager instead. I have been going to this HD since we moved to PA last year, it being about 4 miles from my home. Turns out less than a mile further down is a Lowes, and considering the 1 star you see to begin this review, I'm driving the extra mile to now go to Lowes (I don't know, I spend maybe $1,500-$2,500 per year?). In the garden area looking for a rack to hold a hose. Found one, asked the gentleman working the area what kind of hardware I need to hang this on a wall, he said "I don't know, go ask someone in hardware". He was talking to another employee, I obviously interrupted him and I could easily see where a customer was now irritating what he was trying to get done with the other employee. In hardware, can't find anyone, looked up and down maybe 6 aisles, finally find this guy sitting at a computer in building design, ask if he knows where someone who works hardware can come and help me. He tells me "someone should be around". I told him there wasn't anyone. Can you CALL SOMEONE MAYBE???? He just shrugged, said "someone should be around there" and went back to what he was working on his computer. Again, the horrible customer is getting in the way of him doing his work!!!! So I looked again, finally got frustrated and tossed the hose rack and went to the cashier with some door stops I needed. Didn't get a "hello" or a "did you find everything OK?" (which was probably better for him since he would have gotten an earful). Scanned my door stops, gave me the total price, put them in a bag with a "there you go".......no thank you, no come again, no nothing, just a "there you go". Young guy, kind of person you'd find working at a fast food joint who has zero understanding of being nice to a customer. So Lowe's gets my business now. Someone really needs to look into who is training these people, I know everyone is short on people and when that happens you tend to grab any warm body, but no one (and I mean no one) is training these people to help customers - you know, the people who indirectly are responsible for their paychecks? read more

This location is in a convenient area, however, the parking lot is a nightmare. It is very congested and crowded. In addition, I have ordered curbside pickup two separate times, and BOTH times, I waited 15+ minutes and no one came out. I then had to call the store, and it took 3 minutes for someone to even pick up the phone. Then I waited another 10 minutes or so for an employee to bring out the item. So in total, I was waiting almost 30 minutes!!! I understand that it is crowded at the store, but there should be someone specifically managing curbside pickup orders, or at the very least to receive a notification when someone checks in for curbside. Elizabeth Claire was just the most attentive sales person! She approached us while we were shopping for carpet and answered all of our technical questions. Warrington wasn't our closest location but her service convinced us we needed to purchase from her. She was very patient and knowledgeable about the product and guided us through the process of our installation. We couldn't be happier with our carpet, her service as well as the installation crew who came to the house and put in our carpet. We completely remodeled our kitchen through the Warrington store. Our kitchen designer was nice but EVERY person who does work is an independent non employee and is on their own timeline and has their own individual work ethic. The project guy says he will always help but that is very far from accurate. When things go wrong there is NO ONE who cares or advocates for you!! Promises made and repairs paid for are not kept. No one checks the project as it goes along or at the end. WHY should they, you have to pay 100% UPFRONT!!!! It was a truly awful experience! I made so many calls and quite frankly, no one cared!! I always shopped at Lowe's, started shopping at Home Depot about a year ago, got a Home Depot credit card, today I went there bright and early to pick up some material for some projects around my home, I need 15 bags of river rocks, heavy bags no doubt, I put 15 on a skid asked the person in the garden center somebody come out with a forklift and put it on my trailer he said I'll get somebody, he told me to go by the contractors entrance and exit, I waited a half an hour walk back the kid told me he doesn't have anybody to operate the forklift, if I didn't come back in and ask him I guess I'd still be standing there, 50 men and women work there nobody could operate a forklift for five minutes, so I had no choice but I had to handle each bag twice, I was going to return and get a refund but the line for that was long, I am ripping up my Home Depot credit card and go back to Lowe's read more

Usually don't like shopping at Home Depot but I bit the bullet and did it because they had what I was looking for - - until- - they didn't. I ordered three things from them and they trickled in one by one until the 3rd never arrived. Called to follow up just to learn it arrived weeks ago, damaged and so they sent it back. They didn't notify me, reorder one for me or they didn't issue me a refund. They just returned it and left me waiting. I HATE HOME DEPOT BECAUSE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!! When I called the store they were polite but couldn't help me and asked me to call another number and that's when things went south. The guy was a total ass! And when I tried to complete the survey they offer at the end of the call, the guy didn't hang up, he just put me on hold so that I couldn't leave a review, because he knows I would have trashed him. We purchased LG Steamer one week ago and brought back to the store because it is does not work at all as was advertised however she said that after 48 hrs we cannot return it and we have to take it back and call LG. I mentioned that there is does not says anywhere about 48hrs on the order but she said read small text when you place an order. You agreed to all our small letter policy when you placed an order. I needed to return a few items to the Warrington Home Depot, something I usually dread as it was about 6pm on a weekday. There were about 6 people in line when I arrived. I almost walked back out but decided to wait and see how long it was taking each person. There were two employees working at the time, Audrey and Scott. To my surprise both of them quickly and efficiently took care of each person and I was done with my return with a 5 min. wait. This is a huge improvement from my last encounter with the service desk. Both of the employees were very friendly and pleasant to deal with, even suggesting items better suited for my needs. The Home Depot needs more employees like them in all of their stores! As circumstances would have it, a single visit to a nearby Home Depot in West Windsor, NJ, has become a series of trips to three (possibly four) of their warehouse distribution stores in and around Mercer and Bucks Counties, NJ and PA. I picked up a bag of black mulch while buying sand last week just to see how it would look in the flowerbeds and under trees. At $3 per large 50 pound bag, it was worth the investment. Turned out that the quality and coverage was very good, so I went to the location nearest where we were having dinner the other night, and purchased six more bags. Can't have enough of a good thing, so I stopped in to the HD on Oxford Valley Road in Langhorne, PA, last night to haul away eight more sacks of the black moist blanket to spread this weekend. What is obvious is that I'm not the only one getting this stuff, because the pile of bags in their nursery was depleted when I arrived last night. Plenty of brown and red available, but the black was almost exhausted. Too, I realized that if I am to attempt all my garden beds, I am going to need a lot more mulch! The fifteen already stacked around my beds will likely double or triple before I am done. So, while checking out, I inquired of the gardening lady cashier whether more would be brought out. She assured me they had many more pallets where that came from, which would be moved into place before the store opened today. Further, taking pity on my dirty work in lifting, stacking, hand trucking and car loading while in my suit, she informed me that they had people around who could do all that for me, and all I had to do was drive up and open the back gate of the wagon. Nice to know I won't have to include a dry cleaning bill in the expense of freshening up my garden. Too late for these slacks, but I can deal with that. PS. I'm now at 25 bags and no where near done. I called the store and ask if they had any portable generators I was told yes we have three different kinds so I went to the store looks for the aisle where the generators might be couldn't find it ask a sales person excuse me sir do you have portable generators could you tell me where they would be. He said rudely we don't have any. I said yeah but I called and they told me you did so I'm assuming that you really do could you just tell me where they might be if you had them, response we don't have any. We bought a Walk-behind Snowblower from the Warrington store in December and purchased an extended warranty. Well the blower never had reverse gear. When we took it back to have it checked or repaired, they charged us $18.00 for them to look at it. (Supposedly refundable.) They then told us they no longer honor the extended warranty!. First they offered us our money back, then they said no, because we paid $18.00 for them to start the repair (that they were never going to do anyway) so we could not get our money back (within 90 days of purchase). Then we were told that WE had to take the machine to the Willow Grove store because they would do the repair at that store. Well, luckily we have a pick-up truck. BUT... when THEY loaded it back on our truck they broke the handles. So now we have two problems making a new machine unusable, an extended warranty that is worth nothing and broken handles. We are stuck paying the charge on our Home Depot credit card for a broken machine. JUST BEWARE of the "bait and switch". AND BEWARE you are on your own if you purchase a significant piece of equipment from Home Depot. NEVER AGAIN! read more

We are 10 months into a pandemic and now I know why. Home Depot shoppers (and one staff member) do not understand how to use a mask. At least 5 shoppers and the staff member had their masks beneath their nose. I assume they must truly be mouth breathers. Two men shopping in the paint department were not even pretending to cover their face, no face coverings AT ALL. I did say No Mask?? to them but they ignored me. I agreed with the other reviewer that the parking lot is too small for this location and even worse because it only has one 'exit' and 1 entrance for all the traffic into the place. Home Depot always has more employees wondering around BUT they are less willing to help customers comparing to Lowe's down the street. However, Home Depot offer more selections and more choices on everything they carried. Their prices are however not the cheapest comparing to online and/or Lowe's. So, one have to balance between (more) choices or cheaper price. Especially if you already know what you want and what to do with the item you bought. Help is rather generic vs. very hands-on, step-by-step at Lowe's. Nonetheless, I give it a 4 star anyway because everything is going by-the-book. I was here for paint and lightbulbs. Got the paint- no problem. Paint people are never behind the counter but when they get there (finally) they're super helpful. Lightbulbs on the other hand..... :-/ Trying to shop for light bulbs in Home Depot is a complete mindF (sorry mom). I'm pretty sure my brain started bleeding during my visit. Of course there is an entire aisle dedicated to light bulbs. There are different levels of wattage- there are different levels of luminescence- there are different lighting types: indoor and outdoor. Then : there's cool white, soft white, fluorescent, bright white, iridescent and daylight lightbulbs. Energy-saving /non-energy-saving /twice the life bulbs etc. I wanted to hurt myself. Everytime I am in this store on my "mission" , 16 orange smock wearing homeboys and homegals come over to ask if I need assistance. Which- I never need because I'm in a Pinterest high hitting all the aisles like i'm a contestant on Supermarket Sweep But in this lightbulb abyss, I needed help. Assistance picking out a lightbulb, and I have an advanced degree. Neat. I think I would up purchasing outdoor daylight colored bulbs.... Economy pack. Because you never have too much daylight outside? The orange smock wearing employees need to guard this aisle. read more

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. So many false promises for delivery of two major appliances and worse no followup when the items were not going to be delivered. I have had to track these items to find out they were never shipped. Home Depot continued the charade by guaranteeing that at least half of the order would be delivered. It is now two days after that promise and still no appliance. I have done business with Home Depot for years but not sure when they became so inept. Pretty nice as far as Home Depot goes. Had a double bagger for my Ride on lawnmower that two other stores I went to did not have. Bonus points to them! However, they DID have me go on a wild goose chase when I didn't notice any shed's outside. I asked them where I could find the shed's, and they gave me directions to go around teh building. I drove around the building to check, and the person in the back said "No, they moved them until they find another place for them". Ran around for 15 minutes until I finally got that answer, that's a little bit of poor service knowledge. Regardless, the place is fairly clean and offers service a few steps above other Home Depot's, so a good place to head for your home good needs. read more

The worker at lumber was a super helpful and knowledgeable man. He helped me with finding materials and recommended the best deals. Fast and easy. On the other hand, Trish and the other associate at the costumer service desk were not helpful at all. Working with them was a waste of time! It took an hour to put in a delivery order. I recently applied for a Home Depot Credit Card, to my surprise I was declined which has never happened before. In the past year I bought a new home and I know for a fact that I have great credit. A week later I receive the letter in the mail telling me why they declined me. It says they declined me because I changed my name in 2014. I feel discriminated against for something that anyone is allowed to do. This is the 3rd time that I've had a problem with Home Depot which tells me that I should start taking my business elsewhere. Just because someone legally changes there birth name is not a reason to decline someone credit, that is discrimination. read more

I DISCOVERED that electrical power cords sold by Home Depot are made in China with a warning to exercise precautions because the product is made of hazardous chemicals including lead. This product is especially dangerous to consumers if the label is not read, "precautions" are not taken and if the consumers make frequent use of this toxic product. I reported this to the FTC reference number: 38897668 and I was advised to also report it to Home Depot management and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office which I will do. Almost every product in the store is made in China. That is bad enough.Selling electrical power cords made in China, of all things, marked hazardous to one's health besides, is going too far. read more

I found a GE water heater, made by Rheem that HD had on sale. Apparently it's a model that is being phased out. Anyway being 10 miles away I called to ensure they had the model I wanted as my local Home Depot was out of stock. The gal was very nice, put my name on one and the next morning I picked it up. Got the new heater home and found it was damaged, probably during transport to the store or in the store. Called the CS desk and was told to bring it back and they'd give me a discount for my troubles. Now that's service!!! read more

The employees were all knowledgable about the products and when they didn't know an answer, they went out of their way to find it. I honestly don't think I've ever reviewed any type of hardware store...but after tonight's experience I feel I must. I came in tonight to get some supplies to decorate my car for a Halloween Trunk or Treat event to benefit a local Girl Scout troop. When I couldn't find these wooden stakes that I wanted, and asked for help, the gentleman I encountered couldn't have been more helpful. Upon learning what I needed and why, (stakes to hold up a sign that would be secured into a hay bale)...the gentleman ran around to grab paint stirring sticks (why spend more money than you have too, he stated). He also went out of his way to sharpen the paint stirrers into points (the better to jam them into the hay bale!)...AND he supremely discounted the hay bale in support of Girl Scout troops. He even refused my offer of a tip to get himself a cup of coffee! Please shop here! I've always enjoyed good service at this location (Warrington), but tonight really was something special. read more

For many years I completely avoided this particular store. I had a couple of unproductive experiences there probably about 12 years ago. The store was very messy and often out of stock. I recently visited this store after being away for many years. I was very surprised at a number of changes that I found, all of them good. The store was extremely clean and very well stocked. Everything on my list was in stock. The customer service was also excellent. I have been in the store several times since then and each time everything went very smoothly. Continued to receive great customer service. I also like that the location of the parts that I find online are shown in the store. Makes it very easy and convenient to get in, get my items and check out. Will certainly continue to use this store. Thanks for all the improvements. read more

I want to first compliment this store on their customer service during purchasing time. The employee was very knowledgeable and made purchasing a fridge the easiest task it could have been. Second, the delivery was wonderful also. On time, fast and careful. Third, the communication between store and delivery company is appalling. My old fridge is still sitting in my kitchen because of the company refusing to remove the existing fridge. I had to call the store multiple times and could never speak to the same person. I was so confused and trying to be nice and I understand that people make mistakes, but the customer service has been HORRENDOUS. They then directed me to call the delivery company and I did so resulting in having to hang up after getting yelled at that I should not be calling them directly and they will not come out. They then informed me I did have a service day of Wednesday. No one informed even informed me of this. I work full time and there are other tenants that live here so this is embarrassing and unacceptable. I then contacted other companies to come out who want to charge $99 to come pick it up. It should be a priority to make an already happy customer, happier, understanding accidents happen. Not make them wait and get angry. I myself have been a long time customer, learning from generations of family that has worked in the construction business we have always come to you instead of other places like Lowe's, True Value, etc. Never again. read more
