This has been my "go to" place for all hardware, gardening items, electrical fans and lights etc. In fact I have used their services for upgrading our carpets at home. The workmen who came for the work were excellent. Small issues were handled well. The prices of most items here are very reasonable and competitive. I also like the layout of the store and their app which shows the aisle location of items in the store. Keep it up! read more

Update 25Aug2024 the Store Manager at Home Depot at 440 Home Drive told me this: (1) He, as store manager, will cancel ANY order at ANY time (2) No notification will EVER be given to a residential customer (3) Efforts to fulfill the promised order via other stores or online will NEVER be taken for a residential customer (4) if you order lumber through Home Depot, you might or might NOT get a delivery, and you WILL NOT be given any notice or reason. ** All of these are contrary to what Home Depot corporate Customer Service told me is Home Depot "hopes" for a store manager, but ULTIMATELY, the Store Manager has prerogative to treat ANY customer in ANY MANNER they choose, and no reason need be given. This Home Depot Store Manager, at 440 Home Drive, is DEFINITELY one of the bad ones. I had to learn that lesson again, after giving them a second chance from similar issues two years ago. BTW: I live in a very safe neighborhood, adjacent to the police and the fire department of my township. You can leave packages anywhere in plain sight for days, and NO ONE will bother therm. All sizes of delivery trucks have been at my place and at neighbors. There is NO reason to cancel an order coming to my address. Many apologies from corporate, and the issue escalated...but their hands are apologetically tied due to Home Depot policies. AVOID 440 HOME DRIVE Update 25Nov2023 YET AGAIN...a shipment from Home Depot came damaged to the extent of being ruined due to improper shipping packaging. This is not due to shipping damage. It is due to the fluorescent tube lights being packed in a box that was approximately 1" shorter than the tubes themselves. I took pictures to show the bent, broken contacts as well as their indentations on the box. I also took pictures showing that the box is way shorter than the tubes. This is at least the second time this has happened from the North Fayette (a.k.a. Home Drive) Home Depot. Two times means it's time for a negative review. It really is inexcusable...especially considering how delicate light bulbs are. BTW: there wasn't any packaging material in the box either. I suppose it's because the packer knw the bulbs would not shift around since they were jammed in the box. I have 2 small children so not having to take the kids out of their car seats and having to carry a garage door opener out by myself is a great reason to do curbside. Not at this store. I tried on Wednesday and sat at curbside for 25 minutes. I also called 3 times and no one ever answered the phone. Ok, maybe they were busy. Tried again today. Waited 13 minutes and gave up. Took kids out of their car seats and walked into curbside. There are 4 employees, FOUR, standing around, leaning on the counter talking. I wait for the woman to get me my order while my children run around me. I then get the privilege of carting out my purchases while also trying to keep my kids from running out into traffic. If you're not going to do your job or honor curbside pick up then quit doing it. I'm done with this store. read more

After my last dozen trips to this store, I will not shop there anymore, thier fluctuating polices are infuriating, Today I was told online HD and the retail locations are completely separate companies....The rude and untrained employees, who mostly know where nothing is in the store is or even any of what the products actually are or used for leading to an abundance of attitudes when trying to describe it. We just bought a new electric dryer which was delivered and we learned upon delivery that it couldn't be installed because we need a new breaker. We currently rent a home and asked our landlord and he said that it is not possible to install a new breaker. We only bought the electric dryer because our landlord mentioned to us before that the house had both gas and electric dryer hookups. We called Home Depot's customer service number and they told us that they couldn't process a return because the dryer is not defective so now we are out over $500 and have a dryer that we can't use. Their return policy does not clearly state that appliance returns are ONLY accepted if the appliance has a defect. If we had known that before we purchased it, we would have made more of an effort to confirm that we had the right hookups. We were loyal customers of Home Depot for several years, but now we will never shop there again. Beware of their scams. read more

Update: after talking to customer service they would need a # on the back of the card.... i uploaded the card (back) bc its just a bar code. Me and my husband always get a real tree every year... we were explaining that to our realtor. We closed on our house and in a card he bought us a home depot card, baby r us card and a restaurant card in $50 increments. We went to home depot to use it for our tree. I pulled off the back of the gc to reveal the # and there wasnt one! I immediately walked over to customer service. I even still had the back of the pull off in my hand. I showed them what just happened. They said i was OUT OF LUCK. Nothing they could do. There was 3 people involved. I asked if it could be reissued or call a # of some kind... NO nothing we can do. I bought a grill, first one. New house. Stoked! Told them i would pick it up in the morning (yesterday). They said they would have it ready (put together new in box) for me. Went to pick it up. Kimberly said i bought it and took it yesterday. ( John in garden center told me they have plenty. ) they had none. Nothing was put together. I bought it ( paid for it) on Saturday, june, 2nd.  Kimberly was so rude to me. Kept saying I took it, and I was not coming back.  Anyways, the manager cane, gave me 50 bucks off the floor model. During our first visit to this particular Home Depot adjacent to Robinson shopping complex today, we received assistance from a bright young employee, Angelie (sp?) In getting some spare keys made. She was friendly, knowledgeable and exuded a positive attitude. When done she asked if there was anything else we needed and directed us to the cleaning dept. Last, she was also quick to assist us obtain my veterans' discount at the self checkout section (program should be revised to make that option more readily available). Management would do well to identify Angelie as a person that helps promote positive customer service with repeat business resulting...we'll be back! read more

To start, my caliber of handyman knowledge is minimal.. a simple faucet repair problem might as well be a high-level trigonometry engineering problem. This lack of knowledge lead me to a weekend of multiple stops at hardware stores with iPhone photos of my situation, a Giant Eagle plastic bag of random plumbing pieces and spigot pieces, in my 1979 Village People Construction Worker costume (to make me look like I knew what I was doing) and a tape measure clipped to my waistband. For the record, yes, my tape measure has pencil markings on it from the last project when I had to count the 1/8 notches. (Quick note, I did not wash my hands in between hardware stops, again, so that I would look somewhat competent.) My situation. The spigot thingy broke off the tub/shower. Hey it's 20 years old. It screwed off which, in MY thoughts, put my DIY expected competency at a 9 out of 10 given the new thingy would probably just screw on! First stop, a local hardware store with the old parts and phone pics. After some "Hmmmms" and "Leeeet me see what ya got there agains" local hardware guy sends me home with a new thingy that SHOULD WORK and even says on the package, "Universal." Got home ...and it is clear that my plumbing is NOT "Universal." Second stop, Home Depot with the same iPhone pics, bag of random broken parts and newly purchased non-universal replacement spigot thingy. I ask a random Home Depot guy where I find replacement spigot thingies, he says, "I'll walk you to the aisle because I want to get to lunch and this will help me get out of here without getting stuck answering questions." BOOM! The holy grail rack of replacement thingies from which to choose. I ask Home Depot rep #2, who was really cool, for help. He says he needs to refer to the plumber aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand guess who the plumber is....YEP.. the guy that just walked me to the spigot thingies that was headed to lunch hoping to not answer questions! Home Depot rep #2 took my stuff back to consult with the lunching-no-questions-plumber who said the pipe at home had to be re-plumbed. My dreams of being a successful DIYer on this project are now shattered, DIY expected competency level is zero and testosterone level is zero. Since I didn't want to bother the lunching-no-questions-plumber at Home Depot any further, I headed to Lowe's to see if maybe their plumbers don't eat lunch or are more helpful with un-handy-men like me. Lowe's Guy explains to me that the installation by Ryan Homes, 20 years ago, was kind of a short cut and not 100% correct. And then proceeds to use random pieces and parts, including a few Lego blocks and Lincoln logs, to show me how this can work. Boom! Mission accomplished. Fortunately for me I only had to make 2 trips to the God-forsaken-kingdom of driving jagoffery (Robinson Town Center/North Fayette) to get it done. The shower is fixed. My internal assessment of my DIY competency is back to a 7 out of 10 because the shower now works and there is no water on the lower floors, yet! So to the guy at Lowe's who spoon fed me in Baby-DIY terms, THANK YOU! To Ryan Homes, thanks alot for the shortcuts 20-year ago. I wanted to share a funny story with home depot and the facebook community. So well aware of their price match + 10% policy I had found a fridge me and my wife both liked 100$ cheaper at Lowes. So before we even made the drive to the store I had started a chat session with Homedepot.com and he clarified that for that model they could match the price in the store and give me an additional 10% off. I thought this was great and for me another reason why I love home depot. So i went to my local store, #4117. I had picked up some other items and went to the appliance department to order a dishwasher and the fridge. I had informed the sales rep who was very nice that the fridge I was looking at was at a lower price at lowes 1 mile away and in stock and that I would like to do the price match plus an additional 10% off. Instantly she said oh i have to call my manager but i don't think they will do the additional 10% off. I had asked why not and she said I will let him tell you. Manager comes back and was very standoffish right from the get go and without having any information on what fridge i was looking at or what the price match was he instantly said no we can not do the price match + 10% we can just price match. I had said why and he said because we don't stock any appliances and the price match policy only applies to in stock items. I had told him i had specifically asked via chat the night before if this was all possible and was told yes. He said that he knew the policy and that it does not apply. So i just said ok well let me call home depot main support number and try to understand what i was missing. Pulling up the website in the store for the price match policy on their website for both website purchases and in store states nothing about what he was saying. https://www.homedepot.com/c/PM_New_Lower_Price So i had continued with my dishwasher purchase while i was getting bounced around for 30 mins on the home depot 1-800 asking my question 3 times through the course of 3 different transfers. I explained to her exactly what i told the store manager and she completely agreed that this item met the price match + 10% and could not understand why the store manager could not have assisted. The only hang up was I had to place the order with her on the phone. Which was not a problem but just was strange to me as a customer sitting in the appliance department at the home depot while i was talking to her. So just to recap, the local store did not want to price match + 10% so i had to call the same company's 1-800 customer service line and spend now 45 mins to achieve the same result without any problem. Which is what i was more upset about. So on the way out of the store I had asked to speak to the manager that had misinformed me of the policy and could not help me. When Bryan (assistant store manager at store #4117) came he still carried the same stand off attitude. I said hey i just wanted to make you aware that the 1800 home depot support was more than happy to make it happen and said there was no reason why your local store manager couldn't of done the same. I also wanted to tell you how dissatisfied I am with the fact that I had to sit in your store for 45 mins and call someone in Georgia to find that out. His response was i been working for the company for 11 years and i know our policy I am glad they took care of you online. We do not do the price match + 10% on appliances it says so right in our policy. I had asked to see which policy he was reading since i was familiar with the two sentence one listed on the home depot site that made no mention of "this does not apply to appliances". Getting visibly agitated he walks over to his computer and pretends to read the policy but appends on this does not apply to appliances. My response was can I see what you are reading. He turns the screen and points to the same page i was looking at that says "How the Low Price Guarantee works for in-store purchases: If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any retailer, we will match the price and beat it by 10%. Just bring the ad, printout or photo with you to the register for validation. (This may involve the associate contacting the competitor)." As he is making up what he wants it to say I tell him that is not what it says. He then switches his interpretation of what he thinks it to say and says it does not apply to items that are not in stock at home depot. My response was no it says "If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any retailer, we will match the price and beat it by 10%" emphasizing in-stock item from any retailer meaning the retailer they are matching must have the item in stock. Which makes perfect sense because why would they match a price if their competitor cant get read more

I was on a kick with my creative spree and found that I needed more items that Lowe's didn't carry. Amazing that there are certain things that each of the chains specializes in. Home Depot tends to specialize in hard to find, niche items that are particular to an area, and this one was no different. I found the items I was looking for, paid and left. While it is awesome to find the niche items, everything else is better at Lowe's. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE CARPET FROM THIS LOCATION! Ordered carpet that was part of the 7 day installation guarantee and it was finally completed 47 days later. After 5 visits to repair and replace bad installation work and the Home Depot not shipping the carpet on time to the installer twice, the carpet is finally in. The installation work is mediocre at best. The installers blame the Home Depot and the Home Depot blames the installers. They put you in the middle. The Home Depot selects the installers and should stand behind their work. The did give me a small refund but it was in no way adequate for the amount of time and hassle I had to go through. Worst experience ever. I have now learned my lesson. read more

I placed an order April 5 for stockade fence, I was told a date it would be delivered, did not arrive it was canceled for that date, again given another date, again canceled, thrid time gave a date I called in the morning to see if they were coming again changed said another date would come, he said the delivery men he is having problems with.again changed to much later date now. I said why? didn't you call me I need these items? no excuse. I asked him was am I being lied to so much about this order? I then canceled the whole order as they cannot be trusted for me.I also then called Headquarters to report how rude this whole order was handled. Just be careful with ordering online with them. I, am again, on my search for a dryer belt. I went to Kmart, see review, and they don't have dryer belts. I have heard many people say they prefer Lowe's to Home Depot, but Home Depot was closer and all I need is a dryer belt. I walked into the door, and a nice man asked me if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for and he directed me back to the appliance department. After looking for 5 minutes, I found a man sitting at a desk in the appliance department. I asked him where I could find a dryer belt and he told me that they don't have them, but he had a phone number to order one. I told him I wanted to get one today, and he said "wouldn't that be nice", but we don't sell them. Thanks for your help, you smart ass. I am going to have to agree that Lowe's is better. I just moved into the area a week ago and as usual, things get lost and broken in the move. I went here to find replacement bolts for my dining table, which has a very heavy tiled top. The first thing the man in hardware said was "oh gee, not furniture bolts". Really? After searching for 15 minutes, he handed me bolts that I knew wouldn't work because of their shape (I had the only surviving bolt from the table with me). I ended up not buying anything and will be searching for the good old-fashioned hardware store, the mom and pop type. We decided to upsize our outside Christmas decorations so we stopped in to see what Home Depot had available. They had a very nice selection of outdoor decorations. We even found a spotlight to put more light on the decorations. A very nice gentleman asked if we needed help. I took a little side trip to the restroom. It was extremely clean. Big points for that! My wife and I are having our kitchen remodeled and renovations done as well. We needed to buy new appliances so we stopped in to check out the 4th of July bundle packages for appliances. Lee was the best part of the purchasing experience. We purchased a 4 piece set (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave) for a great price and even got it financed on a new Home Depot card for no interest for 24 months. Lee was very knowledgable and was patient and explained things so we could understand them. He also made sure we received all the discounts we were eligible for. It was an excellent experience. If you need appliances now is the time, this is the place to go, and make sure you ask for Lee. read more

I don't work there or know anyone that does so my review is the real thing. Took a Ryobi rechargeable weed eater there to be fixed, it has a 3 year warranty. Took it back twice to be fixed, BOTH times Home Depot 'fix it' department said they have nothing to do with it, they ship it directly to Ryobi. Remember that statement. First time it took 28 days to get it back, Home Depot said Ryobi has it down as the battery needed replaced and that's all. #1 - Funny thing is I have, and know how to use, a volt meter. #2 - There was no voltage half way down the shaft, where it unscrews for easy storage as they say, though I never took it apart to store it I only took it apart to test it. #3 - The original battery had a mark on it, a scratch, the "new" battery coincidentally had the same exact mark. I didn't push the issue because it was fixed so 'Ryobi' can say whatever they want. Second time it took 'only' 16 days to get it back. I knew what was wrong with it this time because it was obvious, the starter switch/trigger froze up. It's a small device and if it burns out the button inside that the trigger handle pushes on to activate the trimmer won't go in. They bill me $25.00 for a product that is under warranty! Home Depot said they have nothing to do with the charges because all they do is send it to Ryobi. Remember the statement I said to remember, here it is again. They (supposedly Ryobi) charged me because there was no string/line in the trimmer, I took it all out before I took it in to be fixed, should of been no big deal but 'Ryobi' obviously thinks it is. I get home and start my phone calls. Ryobi was my first call since they are the ones that fixed it, according to Home Depot statements on THREE separate occasions, and they (Ryobi) are the ones that charged me the $25.00. Ryobi has no knowledge of my weed eater ever being worked on, it was never sent to them. Come to find out from Ryobi, Home Depot fixes/works on them their selves. And that $25.00 charge? Yep, it was all Home Depot and had nothing to do with Ryobi, even Ryobi said it was ridiculous and they have never heard of anything like that but could do nothing about it because they never worked on my trimmer. To try and shorten an already long review, I got the money refunded except for almost $5.00 for a 'replacement' spool, one of those pre-wound types and Ryobi backed up Home Depot saying not having line on it is considered "lack of maintenance". There's more to that conversation but not worth typing it all. It took 11 (eleven) phone calls to 9 (nine) different people to get to that point. First time using it after it got "fixed", I noticed 3 screws were missing in the part where the battery slide in. So before I start weed eating I once again called Home Depot and they said AGAIN it wasn't them, it was Ryobi, so.....I remind them I'm the guy that found out that is a complete lie. Home Depot tells me if I bring it in to be fixed I will be charged for everything since screws missing is considered abuse of the product. Again, not going to make this review even longer with the rest of that conversation. 5 minutes into weed eating.....the motor started smoking and caught fire. Do you really think I am going to go through all the mess and lies to have it "fixed" again, even though it's still under warranty? Nope, done with Home Depot and since Ryobi allows them to do as they wish to customers, done with Ryobi also. Bottom line: Home Depot blatantly and purposelessly lies and deceives in an attempt to scam customers. They can't deny it, I have all the proof. read more

I've been having problems with the shotty work since 10-13-14 and today, having to take a day off with no pay, they were to be here anywhere from 9 am to 1 pm. I get a call from ACS in Nashua, NH to ask if the installers were here. Nope, no call - no show. Goes to show you how professional they are. read more
