If you're buying a new appliance from home Depot I would recommend going to see Debbie Cooke at the old bridge store in New Jersey. Debbie was beyond professional, extremely friendly and very helpful. read more

Came here for a few things and left with only part of what we needed for a house project. This location looks stocked but looks are definitely deceiving. read more

One of the bad tool rentals Home Depot has. Guy cut me off in the middle of talking multiple times times. And gave zero F's to what I was saying, and didn't want to bother to check other stores for what I needed and just said "no that's how the Home Depot is" even though I spend over350k/year in hope depot alone and rent a lot from them........ sad to see where customer service is here. read more

Some of the most incompetent people on earth work at this home depot. The man working at the tool center is 200 years old. Due to his lackadaisical nature, my tool was late. read more

I happen to love this Home Depot! Everybody is so nice and helpful. I came in for a Christmas tree with HD lights. Their worker was so helpful, and he even carried the tree and help me get it in my car. I also used this Home Depot to remodel a kitchen in my first place years ago. I bought from their Thomasville line of cabinetry, and everything turned out perfect! read more

The Home Depot - My Christmas tree from Home Depot with HD lights - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Old Bridge, New Jersey

Zero stars. HORRIBLE customer service. Placed a large online order for curbside pick up. I'm a woman and these were heavy items so I wanted curbside delivery. Text tells me my order is ready. I go there. I go in the designated numbered parking spaces for curbside, go to my app and let them know I'm here. 20 MIN. GOES BY AND NO ONE COMES OUT. I tried calling customer svc. 3 times and NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. WTH! So I go in and at the CS area there's 7 employees doing absolutely NOTHING. Store wasn't busy at all. They don't even have my order ready anywhere in the CS area. I was so mad. They said they never got the alert in their handheld device that I was here. What crap. I cancelled the whole order and they didn't care. Never even called a manager over. Unacceptable. This my first curbside order at HD, and will be my last. Never again. Going to Lowe's instead. read more

I recently visited this location looking for a specific item. I attempted to find it myself and failed. I asked 4 different store representatives where I can find this item, I received 4 different aisle suggestions to check. I walked back and forth twice, got disgusted and walked out. read more

I most definitely can't stand the store in Old Bridge. The helpers are useless and don't show any effort to show you where something is. So I walked out went home and ordered it on Amazon. These big box stores think they're invincible but they filled them remember the history of former hardware stores. Can I say Rickles and Channel Lumber? They honestly don't care whether you walk out or not Because they don't wanna be bothered. Take your lessons from the Freehold store because they care. read more

As with any big box store they price match so shop around until you get the deal you are looking for, they have better pricing for businesses and contractors though so if you qualify for that look into it. As far as the staff goes, it seems like they get less knowledgable of the products they carry with every passing day. If you are looking for info on specific things keep your local hardware store in mind (or google). With all joking aside though I had asked for a piece of lumber to be cut down into super specific dimensions like 32 1/8th x 72 1/4 and the man operating the saw asked me if it were that critical down to the 1/8th because the saw is always off... WHAAAAATTTT... more likely that you just don't know how to use the saw correctly. UPDATE: 10/17/2015 - Now to contradict my previous review, I had a very good experience with their employee Doreen in the plumbing department. I was not able to personally be at the store so my girlfriend went and I was talking to her over the phone on what to get and where to look. Their was some confusion and thankfully Doreen was able to help out. This has been one of the most knowledgable staff members I have encountered there in quite some time. Thanks Doreen! read more

Went in today to buy a washer and dryer. The girl who was in the department was new and couldn't help us. She called another woman who also couldn't help us. After standing there for 20 mins with no help and not one person could get anyone to help us we left. I wouldn't have someone new that doesn't know anything in a department that big purchases come from alone without anyone to help. I will take my business else where. read more

Went to HD on 7/30 to rent a rug cleaner and got that and much more. Jeanette made sure the machine I renten worked and was clean because "I (Jeanette) always clean the machines when they come back in." Jeanette also took the time to reaquaint me with the machine. Saving me time and frustration. She did this while still greeting the customers who were waiting. She even found time to double task and help them while she was preparing my machine. Great job, Jeanette. Thank you!! read more

Good selection of everything you possibly will need for any project etc. Customer service is below average. I do not expect 5 star service from a hardware store let alone a franchise hardware store. With that said some times you are just ignored by the employees here. Most recently a worker engaged in a deep deep personal convo with a friend who ran into him as i waited over 5 min for some assistance. The three of us were the only ones in the aisle and i clearly needed assistance. But nope they just continued chatting away. read more

All my visits here have been positive, someone always helps me, and Home Depot seems to employ people who know what they are talking about. I recently came here on Sunday to rent a carpet cleaner and the gentleman that helped me was very friendly and helpful. He gave me a lesson in how to use the machine and made sure I had exactly what I needed. He also went over the timeframe that I had to return the equipment. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. The carpet cleaner also did an excellent job. After I got the deposit back I ended up paying about $55 for the machine, the solution and a pre treatment spray. I did my house and my aunts house in about 3 hours. read more

Like any home depot if you walk around a few minutes you can find someone willing to assist you. I have dealt with assistant managers alot in there & they were helpful. I am giving them 2 stars because of the people they sub out. Deliveries are atrocious, the installers are the worst of the worst I am not sure where they find these people but they are sub par. Its like playing roulette if they will be able to actually pull off a correct install on the first shot. Good luck! Had lots of headaches so it doesn't really matter if the people in the actual Home Depot store are wonderful which many are. I feel like they tarnish their brand with the clowns they contract out. It is a shame but I will not use them again for this reason. To go in the store & buy some wood or a light bulb..fine. Appliances, water heaters, anything they have to come deliver or install BEWARE!! You have been warned. read more

I can make a movie out of it... Walk in with my AC unit to return. 3 employees look at me. No one greets me It all goes in silence things are so quiet that employee #3 (on my right/in front of the counter) whispers to employee #1 (on my left/behind the counter) that "he should, you know, mmmm check the box just in case, you know." Employee #3 decides that it's a good idea and removes all the tape to yea... You know, make sure I'm not stealing from them! Employee #1 leaves the scene and walks away gracefully. Employee #2 who never asked why i was returning it, if it was a return or an exchange, if it was broken, or If my dignity was still in place keeps looking at the computer. My receipt was handed to me and I was dismissed with a smile. Not having a nice day, but with a smile. 1. I understand merchandise should be checked. But there are ways to communicate with the customer. 2. I might have an ethnic look but look I can write and speak your language try me next time I might be able to say MY NAME IS...... 3. I was there to exchange the unit for a BIGGER one. Bigger means more, more means money, money that I spent across from you at Walmart. read more

I have been to the Home Depot in Hazlet many times in the 14 yrs I've been living in my town of Keyport and I can honestly say, I do not remember any of their staff ever asking me if I needed help or anything like that. I always had to hunt someone, anybody down for a simple question. Two weeks ago I went to the Home Depot in Old Bridge and boy, what a difference! The employees that were on staff that night were wonderful! A few asked me if I needed help finding anything, another helped me carry my wood onto my cart and another asked me again, if I found everything I was looking for. I came out of their store happy and said to myself- I have to write a review. I have been back a couple of times since then, and the staff on schedule have not disappointed. Great customer service again! I work in customer service and I know how customers are quick to complain and write a bad review over the smallest of things but most, even if they had a great experience, don't write a review of their experience. All I know is the name of this manager for this particular store (on my sales receipt) is Howard Anderson, I don't know if he is the person who hired the employees directly for the store but I'd like to say thank you!! keep up the good work!! You have awesome employees! And hope you appreciate them. Employees like them are not so easily found. The store is nice and in order also. I look forward to returning to your store. Your store is set as -my store - on my Home Depot App!! read more

I have a serious problem with the check out there's nobody to check you out you have to do it yourself and when there's a problem nobody to help you woman over there bullshitting with other people not doing her job hitting the help button nobody came so I left everything right there and went to Lowe's And had a lot better service read more

Definitely the worst Home Depot I have ever been to. The staff was helpful but they kept on sending us to different parts of the store. No one knew where a specific solder was. Gosh, three staff members sent us to three totally different parts of the store. It was so aggravating. Specially aggravating was a specific lady standing in the front who obviously did not care about service. You can tell she was there just for a paycheck. read more

For awhile me and my 2 friends were struggling to find lighting equipment until this wonderful man named Pat, came to the rescue to helped us find all of it in minutes. Only if I saw Pat earlier my day would've been much quicker. But he was super helpful and informative. Thanks Pat and Lou! Had a great time with yous! read more

Update to my previous review. I returned to the store the next day to have my shades cut properly, but more shades and to speak with the store manager about my experience the previous evening. We were greeted and helped by Aliza in Customer Service. She was a pleasure and an asset to Home Depot! She was very apologetic about my encounter the day before and called the manager. She walked with us to shades aisle and stayed with us the entire time. We checked out with her. If you have an issue, find this young woman, she WILL help you! While in the shades aisle, the manager, Mike Brescio, came to speak with me. He listened and seemed to understand my concerns and why I was upset with the asst manager, Chris K. He was very professional, exactly as a part of the management team should be anywhere. Again, if you have an issue, reach out to Mike and be assured that he will resolve the problem. To the woman that cut my shades correctly, I did not get your name, thank you very much!!!! Thank you Aliza and Mike for behaving exactly as you should have, I am very appreciative. read more

This is the worst Home Depot I have been to. The laziness of the staff is appalling. I stopped in here to purchase a rug I saw online. It stated there were multiple rugs in stock. I went to the store and couldn't find any of the rugs where they should have been. I stood there and wandered the store like an idiot for 10 minutes without one person in sight to help me. The couple of people I did find told me it wasn't their department. One guy was oh so kind enough to use his walkie to announce a customer needed help in rugs. No one came. I was about to give up when I spotted a young employee. He tried to help and got the attention of another employee. They went in the back and proceeded to tell me the shipment of that rug was still back there and they weren't put out yet. When I asked what I should do and when I should come back, they said I could trying calling first. I went home, placed an online order for store pickup for the exact rug, and two hours later went to pick it up. Instead of doing the right thing and pulling it for me when I was in the store, I had to force them to pull it by placing the online order. It was waiting at the wrong pickup desk because whoever did pull it, messed up. What a surprise. Go to any other Home Depot but this one. read more
