Bains is a large hardware store in Seabright, the store maintains a large variety of items that you might need if doing a quick repair and you don't want to hit a big box store. The store has knock knacks, local Tshirts, hoodies, bumper stickers, sun block, beach chairs and umbrellas. If you are renting a house in the area this is the place you might find something you forgot to take on vacation. The prices are higher than what you will find at Home Depot or Lowe's, you are clearly paying for the convenience l. read more

This hardware store is great. Mom and pops like feel with people who genuinely like to help people. I've went in once or twice. Recently, i bought a beach umbrella. When i opened it, an hour later it was slightly damaged. I can back after using it and they helped me out and replaced it. These are great people. I will not go any where else if I'm general area. The store is mainly a hardware store but it's a blend with other goods, beach materials, birthday cards, souvenirs ect... check this store before you go anywhere else read more

the Sea Bright store is the best! Everyone is helpful! I went in because my favorite lamp was not working properly. It's 35 years old. I brought the fixture in and they not only had the part, they fixed it for me for free. In the past I have brought other problems to them. Always helpful. I am a loyal customer for over 28 years. read more

Bain's rock !! Mr Bain was there personally to help me with a small project to hang my whale from my porch . He was so happy to help me . When you have Baines nearby there is no reason to go to the big box stores. They charge fair prices, have a great selection and you get knowledgeable service with a smile! If they don't have it just ask. They also sell hermit crabs and tons of Beach related items. We always find something interesting at this great local hardware store. Buy Local! read more

Bain's has absolutely everything. Sea Bright is incredibly fortunate to have an old fashioned hardware store like Bain's located in the center of its business district. Additionally the staff is incredibly knowledgable and are very willing to help you out with any questions you might have. With Bain's located so close to home, there really is no reason for me to ever travel to one of those chain hardware stores that are popping up all over the place. Give me the hometown feel any day of the week! read more

Bains has everything and they're nice, but they hawk you to death! They are definitely over-accomodating. I guess I can't blame them as shoplifting must be a problem but it's uncomfortable at best. It's like an old fashioned hardware store where you can get just one screw or plumbing fitting, and the staff knows their stuff. But big brother is watching..... RETURNS ARE DIFFICULT so if you think you may have to return something, buy it at Home Depot. read more

Superb, traditional hardware store with knowledgeable, helpful staff. They're open Sundays, which is extremely convenient. One Sunday during the incredibly snowy winter of 2010-2011, while one of the year's many blizzards hit, they were not only open, but fully stocked with a wide assortment of snow shovels, ice melters etc. all at fair prices. read more

A man and his hardware store share a special bond. My hardware store is Bains. The selection of products is spot on and the service is friendly. I am a shopper who typically wants to know the location of a product and nothing more. For this, the staff is more than willing. If you want to discuss the best way to stop a leaking sink, they'll also have helpful advice for you. The folks who run the store are tremendously friendly and know most regular customers by name. They're a class act. read more

When you purchase an item, the expectation is that the item will work and you take it out of the box. A Garden Center employee advised me that the end-cap plants were clearance items and that pricing information would be available at checkout. When I reached the register, The cashier informed me that I would need to locate a Garden Center employee for pricing or find another plant with a visible tag. I explained that I had already done so and, frustrated by the conflicting instructions, decided I no longer wanted the item. Rather than simply ending the transaction, The Cashier began loudly lecturing me in front of multiple customers about the responsibilities of cashiers versus plant specialists... I called him an idiot out of frustration and I should not have. The situation escalated further when another cashier chose to add inflammatory comments instead of opting to de-escalate. I then brought the matter to Assistant Store Manager, who handled the situation professionally and quickly diffused the incident. However, even while walking away from the conversation, Craig continued calling me a liar in front of customers and employees. Regardless of any misunderstanding regarding store procedures/pricing, there was no justification for the public and unprofessional manner in which this situation was handled. I encourage management to review the surveillance footage to better understand how a routine transaction escalated into an unnecessary confrontation and loss of a customer.

My hose was unnecessarily removed from the spigot during the job without asking, causing damage to the connector that had to be replaced. Scheduling was also poorly handled--I called in April and was told planting after Mother's Day would be fine, but the work was delayed and not completed until almost summer. Overall, due to poor communication, lack of professionalism, property handling issues, delays, and high pricing, I would strongly not recommend this company.

There were plenty of spots on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. When you enter you go through these giant barn doors. The inside is a lot of fall decor with candles, bakeware, kitchen towels, all the cute home stuff that makes your house extra cozy for fall. They also have a little coffee area too but I had already gotten coffee earlier so I didn't order any. Although everything was super cute, it was also a bit pricey so I unfortunately only bought some lotion which was really moisturizing and smelled AMAZING. Something I really liked is that you could sample most of the lotions and sprays so although I didn't buy them, I could at least try them out. If you go through the back exit, you enter the farm portion with a little pumpkin patch, donkeys, and sheep! There were a few places for "photo ops" too. If you walk further there's actually a little garden/flower field which was really nice to walk around and take pictures. You couldn't pick any flowers at this time but maybe we could've earlier in the season in the summer. This was a cute little farm that I would come back to for another season to see how they change it up. Although some of the items were pricier I would come back to get something as a gift. I think there's a lot of nice stuff to give for a housewarming and it's good quality too.
