SO Terrible. Tried my luck in their flooring department after last years frustrating service with Lowes. I cannot even believe that customer service has gotten so unacceptable now a days. A very non patient woman started to help us but when we were ready to schedule a measure date, she quickly turned us over to someone else because it was her time to get out of there. This person was like the sloth from Zootopia as she was writing and trying to type in my info. Asking the same questions over and over. I sat there for 1 1/2 hours just to schedule two locations.
Then the hefty measure man comes ,huffing and puffing because we didn't have our house numbers on the mailbox we just installed the day before. He is instantly pissed off and annoyed. He proceeds to the basement where I start to tell him where I would like the carpet to stop and the vinyl to begin around the bar...."whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute, I am not understanding" he says, like I was speaking German or something. He took a good 60 minutes to measure my basement that is not that big and comes up to review. Now granted, I told the lady in the store EXACTLY what needs to be measured and watched her write 'stairs'......he did not measure my stairs. So he expected me to leave ugly carpet on the stairs and beautiful new flooring in the entire basement.... I told him I wanted the stairs too, he gets pissed and said 'well they didn't tell me that'. Well apparently there is serious miscommunication between the store and the measurer. But this gets better..... before we leave for the second location, he asks me if there is a public restroom....its a yoga studio...we by law have to have a public facility. Thank you for sharing with me that you needed to take care of business.
We get there, and there are two very small rooms, a changing room and a very tiny office that we wanted measured too. Guess what...they didn't tell him that, so hes pissed again.
I get the call today with what was supposed to be a quote. The lady whom I spent 1/1/2hr with failed to tell me I needed commercial grade vinyl in the yoga studio and it will be about $2.50 more per square foot. WHY didn't she tell me that in the original sit down so then I wouldn't of had to go forth with another hour install with the slowest measurer on the planet?? Why is it okay for other flooring companies to install the same flooring in our studio as you would in your house, but home depot refuses? its bare feet, NEVER any shoes, and the largest amount of weight on the floor is a human.
Needless to say they promised me a quote in 24 hours. I have been told I cannot use the flooring they had one told me was fine and I have not received the quote from my home and its been well over 24 hours.
DO NOT GO TO HOME DEPOT. OR LOWES FOR THAT MATTER... No one knows whats going on when they use these outside contractors. The lines of communication are terrible and you will be nothing but frustrated and wasting large amounts of your time. read more
