What is it with these home improvement stores that have apps that don't fully work. We ordered 11…read moreforty pounds of pellets for the pellet stove. That is 440 pounds! I selected the free curbside pickup. Until pickup, everything went smoothly. After describing my car and its color, I punched repeatedly "I'm here" on the app only to get an error message saying something was wrong on their end. We tried several more times before giving up and calling the store. No one answered the phone. So hubby headed into the store, waited in line, until a cart was wheeled out with 11 bags of pellets. Oh no. I specifically asked for curbside pickup because we are older and that is alot of weight. I did not want him wheeling this cart that had a mind of its own. I certainly was hoping curbside pickup with this weight meant that you'd get help. I myself am useless lifting that much weight. So 5 stars for ordering but 1 star for pickup averages to 3 stars. That is probably overly generous because Ontario Home Depot failed on everything they specifically had control over.

I came to the store and ordered a fridge, and paid to have it delivered and brought inside. I was told i'd be given a 30 minute heads up before the delivery drivers arrived. First day, they call me and say they are 15 minutes away. I will not make it in 15 minutes so I have to reschedule. The next day, they just knock on my door, I am not even home. They lied and claimed they tried to call but I had been sending and receiving calls all day. I finally arrive after calling and making them come back since I was lied to twice. They put the fridge inside and immediately rush to leave. The fridge was missing one of the legs to it which caused the fridge to completely destroy my brand new floors. Home depot says they will not fix the fridge or the floors, and that there's nothing they can do. I am now without a fridge and destroyed kitchen floors. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOME DEPOT!!

For the first time ever, rebates I submitted totaling nearly $1,100 were denied, despite following the same process I've used for years without any issues. These rebates are a major reason I've continued to do business with Menards, and having them denied is extremely concerning. What's worse is the lack of support from store management. The Assistant General Manager I spoke with was dismissive, appeared to laugh off the situation, and refused to offer any help or attempt to resolve the issue. Customer beware: if you are relying on Menards rebates, understand that they may not be honored. I will be reconsidering where I spend both my personal and business money moving forward.

My only advice for those of you unfamiliar with this location north of Route 30 is to go to the light and turn into the Target Shopping complex. I have made the mistake of buying cheap chlorine tablets at Walmart and spent a month fighting with algae. Just go ahead and buy the good stuff. I like that they keep my information on file so that when I come in, they always know exactly what size filter I need and are quite frequently the only place that I can find the spa treatments that I need. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that their service department and their parts are sometimes a little confusingly laid out and not always the easiest place to find the parts that you need.
