Just figured out there is a Lowe's close so that's where I'll be going from here on out. 90% of the staff is either lazy or don't know what they are doing or both. I had had several issues at this location. For example my online order got declined and I had to come into the store to get my money back and they said they had to put an IT ticket in. Came back a few days later and a new worker gave me the money back. Another instance was renting an 8 foot pick up truck. 2 hours before the reservation it got declined saying it was out of stock. I drive by saw the truck went in and said yeah you can rent there no one using it today. If they aren't straight up ignoring you at the counter they are hiding in the aisles on their phones. There are a small amount of works that are helpful and know what they are talking about. Bless them but I'm so sorry what you have to work with. read more

First, I want to recognize an outstanding employee at this location: Darien & Kerri they went above and beyond to assist me, and I was truly grateful for their help. Ramon was also very helpful, especially when it came to loading items into my car--his willingness to help was appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience wasn't as positive. Many of the customer service representatives at the registers were lacking in basic customer service skills. A refresher training in courtesy and attentiveness would go a long way. One of my biggest frustrations with this store is the layout. I entered through the Business and Construction side, which has a checkout and what appears to be a return desk--but I was told I had to walk all the way to the opposite end of the store just to return three items. There were no exceptions. That setup is beyond inconvenient and honestly makes me want to shop elsewhere. Overall, this Home Depot is decent, and I do find their prices slightly better than their major competitor in the area. But the customer service inconsistencies and poor layout make it a hit-or-miss experience. read more

This Home Depot is well-organized. We absolutely did not want to have to come in here during a pandemic, but we had to in order to complete a project related to a move. If any of the Home Depot gods are reading this, I want to implore you to take safety measures seriously. I was actively uncomfortable when both employees we needed to speak with actually took their mask off and put it around their neck in order to speak. One became annoyed when I asked her to put her mask back on. The whole situation was just extremely uncomfortable. In general, this was a common thread amongst staff. That makes me very sad to report. This Home Depot is probably a three or four stars location easily. But because I question their commitment on safety standards during the pandemic, I don't foresee myself coming back. We were able to obtain all the parts we needed for our project. read more

I was with homedepot for many years when I first started my company and was one of thier top contractors for years intill they started sending me garbage or some else's order, I went in on July 4 to order some outdoor security cameras, placed my order and waited for almost 2 weeks and just got off the phone with them and they forgot to hit send on my order and now my order was canceled so now I have to go back to the store so they can refund me my money, take a chance if you want but homedepot is with out a doubt the worst store around for customer service and materials, I will never step foot in side another one of thier stores ever again and I'm not the only contractor/business owner that feels lime this... read more

The Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Unprofessional, unfriendly and never call you back when they say are going to. Phone rings forever before they pick it up! Been trying to get a door delivered for over a week now and every time I call I have to explain the situation over and over again. I WILL NEVER shop there again!!!! read more

Veterans Discount - On 3/11/19 I visited the Macedonia store to purchase a Bosch dishwasher. The salesperson refused to apply the 10% veterans discount since the unit was already discounted 10% and it was company policy not to apply another discount. I then proceeded to the nearby Lowes where I purchased the same unit with the same 10% discount and they gladly applied the additional !0% veterans discount. My experiences with Home Depot have always been good over the years but this left me very disappointed with either their lack of corporate disclosure of a new policy or a bad local management decision. As a side note - last summer I purchased a new lawn tractor at the Home Depot in Streetsboro - their unit was discounted already and they did a price match plus applying the 10% veterans discount. If I can put a minus star I would. The customer service at Macedonia's appliances guy is the worst. He was quick to take my card without hearing me out and finishing the order. Said he would email me a receipt he didn't, said did give me information about the washer and dryer. Which I told him it will be too big he said no it's standard size. So a fridge, washer and dryer. All came in good time. But the washer and dryer didn't fit which is fine but when I went in to correct the issue the guy said I didn't buy it from there and he has no record of me!! 4K and no record. I called the 1800 number and it was fixed plus it was quickly founded. The manager Mark did give me a refund and didn't charge me on the warranty. Still though the experience was terrible and it gives me bad taste with them. read more

I want to give this store a negative rating. This is a horrible store. We have been sent three different places for a microwave and no one is willing to help. They have it up on the top shelf, but no one will climb the ladder to get it. read more

This review is based on an experience I had over a month ago when the pandemic was just starting I went into the Macedonia HD for an online pickup order. No curbside pickup They had cordoned off an area at Customer service with marks on the floor for 6 foot distancing. I stood in line and noticed NONE of the staff was wearing masks. Each customer signed for their purchase with the same electronic pen and it was never cleaned off between uses I get up to the associate and give her my name. Then another associate goes to the register right next to mine and calls a couple up to stand right next to me so I said to her Excuse me but this is not 6 feet. She did not respond to me and motioned for them to come up. So I again said I'm sorry but this is not 6 feet. She again ignored me and just stared at me. The woman customer then says She better not be f***ing talking about us! Neither my or the other associate said anything. She continued to wait on them. When they were done the customer said I'll walk as close as I want to you and passed very closely to me. I called the manager and let him know about all of this and said he would talk to the associates. I have not returned to HD since. I go to Lowe's All associates wear masks and customers are very mindful of social distancing. I am an RN and know how how devastating COVID can be. read more

I ordered waterproof laminate wood for my two large bedrooms. I paid for the parts and labor. A person came and measured my floors and they said next week people would be by to bring the flooring into my home as it needed to be room temperature. They arrived but refused to carry the flooring upstairs as that was not part of their job description. I had to call their corporate headquarters to get them to come back and carry the boxes up. They did and left. Then I was told an installer would arrive the following week to put it in at 8 am. I had to take the day off from work. This guy shows up at 11 am. He stayed five minutes and said he was leaving because the cement under my carpet was uneven. He didn't even look. Just walked out. So I called the guy who sold me the flooring and he said the man was his friend and was sitting with him. He said he was their best installer. The best? What a joke. I can't imagine their worst. I then had to call an installation company for three times the price. They said they had no idea what he was talking about and the floor was perfectly even. They installed it in two hours and it's beautiful. I had to call corporate again to get my instillation money back. These places employ people who don't care about customers. And they wonder why they are a financial walking disaster? read more

Overall: Usual Home Depot, with good selection for standard items and sporadic customer service. Selection: 3 stars. They have standard items and a few finishes in stock but anything non-standard is through the internet. Price: 3 stars. Prices are competitive, but I usually prefer Lowes because of their 5% discount on the credit card. Customer Service: 3 stars. It varies by employee, but they tend to not go too much out of their way. I'd prefer they walk me over to an item instead of pointing. read more

The wonderful man in the lighting section was not able to find the part I needed to fix a pendant light in his department, and I thanked him for trying and went on shopping... but still thought about my problem after leaving me and he remembered something in the discount rack that might work and chased me down in the hardware section after he found it. One sales guy was nice enough to point and tell me which aisle but he didn't want to stop unloading a box to walk me over and help me. Saw two associates watching the self check out while leaving. Was looking for kitchen cabinets. After walking past a sales associate sitting at a desk (alone)and wandering around for 10-15 minutes, he didn't think it was important to say "hello, may I help you?" or "hello, I'll be with you shortly." He chose to ignore me. No big deal; another retailer was more than happy to sell me $13,000+ worth of kitchen cabinets. read more
