I could have purchased the item online from Amazon (or a number of other sites) cheaper but since Katrina I have tried to do business with local merchants. WRONG!!!!!!!!! I had problems with the appliance only 2 months after the purchase (very expensive I might add) and the manufacturer was being ridiculous about the problem. I went to this small local business owner David A. Stell who did absolutely NOTHING to stand behind the merchandise that he had sold me. I had to fight the issue on my own-he was shipped a replacement part and refused to deliver it or make it right by me by paying to have it replaced while I continued to get the dispute resolved with the manufacturer. I was appalled at the way that I was treated and was stuck because he (Mr. Stell) can do anything he wants because there is no one else to go to over his head. At least in a larger company you have rights or avenues to pursue if there is a problem with your purchase. If the item that you are purchasing can be found at the traditional chain stores or online, I am sad to say that you had better do business there if you want some protection on your purchase. STELL FURNITURE does NOT stand behind what it sells-you are forced to deal with the manufacturer on your own. Stay far away! I hope this review can help someone avoid the MAJOR rip-off and absolute nightmare of dealing with this one-man no-show.

Our Frigidaire came from Mr. Rods in Nov. 2005 and it stopped making ice June 2023. Have visited Mr. Rods last August when the store was under repair and talked to Mr. Jeff about what models of Frigidaire they carry. When our fridge went bad after 17 years I phoned Friday afternoon and asked about a replacement . I told Jeff what model number we wanted and he told me that he would look into when he could get one At almost less than 30 minutes Jeff called and said that they did have one in stock. I purchased it over the phone with Jeff offering a Monday delivery. I was already had a full Monday so we made Tuesday after 1PM the delivery time. On Tuesday the truck arrived on time and the driver knew us from the first time he delivered appliances many years ago. The delivery and setup went smoothly and quickly as the removal also of our old fridge. The next morning I noticed that the fridge side door some resistance when I open it. The door was not self-closing and also had some resistance closing. It also made a loud cracking noise when I closed it. The next morning I phoned Jeff and he told me that he would have someone come that afternoon to check it out, The service call went well and now all is well with our new Frigidaire and we are very happy with the quick ordering, delivery and service from Jeff at Mr. Rods. All of our home appliances from washer & dryers and all our kitchen appliances come from Mr. Rods in Houma, LA. We highly recommend Mr. Rods as their sales and service are good and quick.

There was no communication what so ever!! I sat home waiting for a delivery only to find out that my references didn't respond to phone calls made by Aaron's so the merchandise I was sitting home waiting for would not be delivered if I didn't call by 1pm with new references. Mind you, at this time, it's already past 11:30 am. I would have never known the references didn't go thru had I not called them instead of them calling and informing me that this would prevent me from getting the merchandise. The young lady who I had the pleasure (sarcasm) of speaking with was very unprofessional to say the least! She addressed me as "girl" as if we were friends. I didn't appreciate it one bit. I was promised a delivery time of 7pm at the latest. Needless to say, the merchandise was delivered after 7:30 pm. Customer service on the inside is lacking at times. I walked around for 10 minutes trying to find something with 2 employees just chatting away and looking at me, but never asking if I needed help, until I interrupted their conversation to ask. At any rate. It's a good store with some good deals.
