I have only come here looking for specific pieces I had in mind for what I need in my house. They…read morehave a wide variety of things, but none that I specifically needed. Someone did ask if I needed assistance when I came in and said they did not have anything that I was looking for (China hutch and an armoire). I looked around in case something popped out and needed to be mine, but nothing did.

The website says "Items that are damaged or non-functional when delivered are eligible for repair…read moreor exchange when reported to the store at the time of delivery or pickup." The items delivered to me were not functional because a portion of the order was not delivered. The team told me to convert into a platform bed instead of them paying the cost to send needed items.  When I called to return the store manager said " I was over my 30 day return time frame". I was not. I contacted the regional manager Jason O'Neal who has been nonresponsive. The excuse of "covid" was also given as to why items could not be returned. No team members at this site are wearing masks, there is no signage about Covid protocol or following of any basic Covid protocol in this store, likely because the state of Louisiana has lifted almost all Covid restrictions. I requested the items be refunded so I could use my credit account for items I can actually use. As this will affect my credit, if not honored I will have to pursue legal action against the company. It sucks that I now have to dedicate real time to this when the problem came from the American Freight side.

I went online to the Kenner store to order heaters and there was so many glitches in the process, I…read morewas at the end of my rope. It wouldn't even take my password, it kept me inputting over and over. Then it thought I was a robot, if could have gotten hold of that computer system, it would have thought I was the Boston Strangler" when I finished with it. I was ready to close my account. But low and behold I was prompted to try the following number 1-800-430-3376 to call and the heavens opened up. I was soooooooh lucky to get this representative. Her name is Shawn, out of Tempe, AR. Shawn never once told me I had maybe done something wrong, nor did she defend HD. She took the bull by the horns and took care of the issues I mentioned , but also Shawn worked with me on the problems. She went over everything, we went through the orders. Shawn confirmed what I was talking about, and calmed me down as far as having success with a remedy. The system had me down with 800.00 of heaters. Whoa there Nelly! Shawn told me to pass on the number she gave me, and for me to let the people know that when you call in the hotline for help, they can also take your order also. The above number is directly to her department. I asked if a customer/ account holder can ask for her. Shawn said yes, but to know that all in her department are capable of giving great, understanding service and it will be remedied. So please don't give up on a great store as HD in the Kenner,La or any area. If you use the Kenner store you can also ask for Mike. Mike is the most accommodating and knowledgeable staffer there is. HD ought to clone Shawn and Mike. I hope the HD CEO sees this experience and rating, because it's people like Shawn that we keep our accounts opened. That it doesn't matter if there's glitches in the system because we know there's Shawn or someone like her to remedy our issues. Please tell Shawn how much she's appreciated. MO

I had an order delivered but it did not include the correct order. Customer service actually hung…read moreup on me after waiting on the phone over 10 minutes. I was told to bring it to the store to exchange it. No " sorry for the inconvenience " or any response.
