Please don't tell my husband, but I love the smell of a hardware store! It's the scent of cut wood that I like the smell of. If I could, I would give this store a 3.5 starts.
This store is full of good ideas! They have a good selection of kitchens on display (although I prefer not to have boxes for cabinets, and I dislike melamine inside. I know I know - it's easy to clean! But I still like wood shelves better.) This store has good ideas to offer - pleasant displays.
They also have a garden center, as most hardware stores do, and now that summer is almost here, they have the barbeques out. Beware though: we bought a BBQ there that the clerk said they could assemble it for free, so we bought it expecting to pick it up in a few days. Instead, they were out of stock and expecting an order shortly. Then when they did come in, the person who was able to put them together wasn't going to be in for a few days. They didn't tell us this when we ordered the BBQ but they should have, as they would surely have known it.
They have a standard good lighting section, I found it funny that a lamp I bought here and still use nearly every day, was shown on one of those home improvement TV shows as a good idea! Yay me!
I have been going to this hardware store since it was opened. I wish the Canadian hardware stores were my favourites (Rona and Canadian Tire), but they are generally not. I have better success getting what I want and need from this hardware store, for price and availability, aside from occasional issues with service. read more
