Apparently you can't go to the Home Depot #2025 in Jasper Indiana 4250 Newton Street Jasper, IN 47546 (812)482-3533 and get help buying in stock cabinets without an appointment.I showed up at 9:30 AM and went back to get help with my cabinets that I wanted to purchase and there were two employees sitting there, the woman asked if I needed help and I replied yes. I told her I wanted cabinets and she asked if I had an appointment. No I did not I said. Told her that I had measurements for my kitchen and wanted cabinets. She wanted to know where my wife was because apparently I can't order cabinets without her.Then said I had to make an appointment to get help with cabinets. (REALLY) She said that they was busy and could give me an estimate this afternoon.They can sit there and chit chat but can not help a customer in a store that I don,t think you need a appointment to walk in and shop. All I wanted was to spend at least $3000 in the store for cabinets and countertops. I might not be spending much but I would think customers come before just two employees sitting there chatting. I don't usually shop at Home Depot, mainly because of their political stances. However, this is the only major home improvement store in town. The True Value is great, but doesn't have the selection that Home Depot has, so if it is a BIG project, this might be your option. They do allow you to buy tile individually versus buying a whole box, which saves a lot of money for a smaller job, AND you can return unused, undamaged tiles if you have some leftover (which you shouldn't, if you calculated correctly). The staff was helpful and ensured we completely had what we needed before walking away. This was really great, considering we were doing a tile project and hadn't done one in a long time, so the advice on all the necessities was great. The parking lot, however, is not. This hands down gets the award for worst damn parking lot design ever. read more

I ordered appropriately $16000.00 worth of kitchen cabinets to include installation through home depot in mid July 2018. Their guy made a couple of measurement mistakes onthat has cost us months without a kitchen. On the 27th of Sept they were suppose to do a one day install. Wrong size cabinets that would have covered heater vents and light switches. So on the 26th of Oct they came back to complete the job. Still not done. Cabinets are installed crooked, drawers are uneven. We have a screw sticking out of the finished front of one cabinet. No idea when they will be back. We couldn't measure for the countertop until the cabinets are in. One cabinet had a hole in the back that if you pushed a glass all the way in it would fall to the counter. Instead of home depot people handling the job I find I'm calling the designer, installers and home depot management to get things done. I'm also making multiple trips to Home depot to pick up various parts. I paid for shipment to my home. Some things that I paid for have not been delivered. Some things that I ordered originally never made the order slip and had to be reordered when I realized they were left out. read more
