this is not a place to buy. they claim a pot of plants when in fact there is only 1 plant per pot very poor value since I paid with shipping $80. for three little plants. if they survive, I'll be surprise don't bother buying from them since the ad doesn't read one plant per pot never again read more

The service is fast, and the value is good. This company stands behind their product. I'm a repeat buyer and recommend these blackberries. I will be buying again. Thanks! read more

Many years ago I ordered two of the Doyle's Thornless Blackberry plants. The thornless concept is what got my attention since wild blackberries come with lots of scratch hazards and nobody likes putting on long sleeve shirts when it's 95 degrees outside. These plants have been growing and producing ever since. The fruit is juicy and very flavorful. I would recommend Doyle's Thornless Blackberry to anyone looking to grow their own blackberries. read more

I have used ToDoyle thornless Blackberry plant for three years. Abundant fruit and winters over nicely when covered with pine needles. I highly recommend. Terry McComb read more

I think this is the second year we've planted the blackberries; they are still small plants but they are successfully growing. Late Spring we weeded and mulched and wood-chipped the plants. We'll let you know if we get any berries in 2024. read more

My Thornless Blackberries have been producing for years and continue to produce year after year. Black and Black/Blue berry jelly as become a staple around our house and for most of our friends. We process our berries through a food mill to remove the pulp and seeds and this makes for some truly awesome Jelly. These blackberries are big and delicious. read more

My Doyle blackberry plants continue to thrive and out produce the other varieties I have. The berries are very large. The taste is excellent if you wait until sufficiently ripe. (Excellent directions on website). The cost per plant seemed high but a single plant can cover 18-20 feet. They seem quite hardy, enduring some sub-teen days this winter. There is not a lot of work involved once the trellis and bed are complete. I provide all the berries my family can eat in a year and for many neighbors and friends as well. I recommend getting them and following the advice on the website. read more

So far, I've ordered 3 plants. The first was doing really great until our dog took up landscaping our yard. She got rid of 3 small apple trees, my lavender and my blackberry plant. Up until that time, the blackberry plant had a great yield. The replacement plant is doing well. The dog gave up landscaping but loved the berries. There are a lot of berries right now. The third plant isn't doing so well but not because of Doyle's. Some animal, probably raccoons, has been eating the leaves 2 years in a row. It's like starting over each year. Apparently they like young leaves. Doyle's service has been very good. The plants arrive healthy and ready for planting. Without the dog and the raccoons, we'd have bumper crops every year. read more

I love this company. I find plants that I can't find anywhere else. Their customer service is best of the best. i like dealing with a company that i know really cares about its customers. I am a customer for life. read more

I'm very happy with the plants and with the company. I placed the order too early in the spring, and I really need to thank them for delaying the shipping and that saved the plants from unexpected low temperatures that would have killed them. I got the feeling that the team at Doyle's really cares. read more

I bought the thornless blackberries for my daughter's birthday gift. They arrived promptly. She loves them. They are thriving and I'm looking forward to blackberry jam! read more

So, at first I had some difficulty getting the plants to grow -- but that was my fault not theirs. I did mention it to Doyle. He told me what to do, which worked! And then he sent me, free, three more plants, which now thrive also. Great personal service! read more

The plants are small but look healthy. I was not expecting large plants. I got three of these several years ago but none survived. These look much better and I'm hoping they will get off to a good start in our cooler winter. The company responded promptly to my question about availability and the plants arrived on schedule. So far I'm happy. New buyers should be aware that the plants are not large. This does not mean that they will not grow well and produce soon. Be prepared. Mine are small but look really good. read more

I decided to give Doyle's a second chance and placed another order. This time Doyle's came through very well. The plant that arrived ( on time ) was just what I expected, a healthy, good looking plant. I did a soil test and found that the soil around the roots was also in good condition. This tells me that all is well in the way they start their plants. It is too early to know how well the plant will do but I am confident it will produce as I expect. read more

I placed an order with Doyle's in February 2016 and never received my plant. Despite several emails to Doyle's, I have never received a response or a refund. I just received a bulk email from them saying that plants would now be shipping for fall. I ordered in FEBRUARY! Don't order from this company if you actually want to receive a plant at all or in a timely fashion. I should have listened to other similar reviews I saw prior to ordering. read more

The plant I ordered in 2015 died and Doyle's was unable to replace at the time. However, this fall I finally received the replacement and boy was it a nice plant. Planted immediately and it has been growing well with the extended mild fall we have experienced this year. Hope to try some of those famous berries next year. read more

My plants arrived in Oct., 16. They look super, transplanted easily and are of hearty stock. It is Election Day and I have new growth. The directions for transplanting and care were very thorough and detailed. I know this family business lost their founder recently after a long illness. This change caused some delay for orders, but they overcame their difficulties and delivered well-wrapped, sturdily packaged, high quality plants. I recommend you give them a try. read more

Been dealing with Doyle's for many years and never been disappointed. Good quality plants that do well in San Fernando Valley summer heat. Their information on growing and caring for blackberries and other garden dwellers is most useful. read more

Since I just planted my berries about two months ago in southeastern Louisiana, I have yet to harvest any fruit; thus, I wait to see the "proof in the pudding." Unfortunately, my neighboring rabbit ate the tops of my seedlings, but with hardware cloth they have rebounded with new tops. I am impressed with Doyle's email advice about gardening in general - very precise and, so far, very accurate. I look forward to my first berries. read more

To be honest, I was shocked at the small size of the blackberry plants. Not much more than simply twigs. Not saying that one day they might turn into large bountiful plants, but right now is seems doubtful. Been gardening for 40 years and don't recall being this disappointed in a mail order item. Actually I feel like a sucker spending over $100 for these plants. In a nursery, I wouldn't have paid $5. Sorry, but I think you misrepresented your product. read more
