The worst Home Depot! To say it's disorganized is an understatement. Talked to the "manager" and still no resolution.

The employees were very helpful with helping to locate items. The guy in the tool renter area was also very helpful and friendly.

Do they still have those kids classes where they get their little work apron and goggles and can make something?

It was supposed to be delivered the next day. The delivery never happened. I called the store repeatedly over the next two weeks. Each time, the employee told me the owner was "taking care of it" and that the refund was coming. But weeks later, nothing. I even tracked down the owner's other business and called there to try and resolve it -- still nothing. The bottom line: Kelly Appliance charged me for an oven they never delivered and has refused to refund me. I would strongly caution anyone considering shopping here. If they resolve this, I'm happy to update my review -- but as of now, they've kept my money and given me nothing in return.

Special COVID-19 Review:…read more I just moved to the area, and this means, despite the pandemic, I need stuff. Like plumbing things and all the little bits that go with plumbing things. I'm not even looking at electrical wall plates or even new locks, though I need those too but trying to stick to the essential essentials (food, water, indoor plumbing). This Lowe's is open at 8am every day as of this review--be sure to call and check before you go, they have it as the first thing it tells you when you call the local number. I don't know what time they close because I just try to go do all my errands early and get home. During the shutdown, customers can enter the store but through the Lumber entrance only, so park on that side if you need to go in. And if there are more than the allotted people, you have to wait in a line to get in (go early and it's not a problem, wait until 11 or noon and you may have a sizable line to deal with). Pretty much everyone is wearing masks but only about half the people are wearing gloves, so wash your hands and sanitize your purchases when you get home. At the main entrance is where they are doing the online purchase pick-ups. It takes a while, but you pull up and someone will run out and get your order number. I had mine written on a post-it note for them and they just ran it it so this is what I will continue to do as it was easier than having to show them my phone and have them write it down. These employees are wearing masks, so you should too, since they are coming in very close contact with you. They bring your item out and you still have to sign for it holding their pen and clipboard :-/ so be cautious there. It is taking them a while to fulfill those online orders, so probably best to put in what you need the afternoon before, then hopefully they fill it before they close and then you can just run and grab it in the morning. They have had pretty much everything I have needed (or thought I needed) in the several times I have had to go this week--it's not a real project unless you go to the store at least three times and want to cry after you get home the third time and the thing is still not working and then you realize the thing you're trying to fix is not the thing that's broken. Ah, the joys of home-ownership! I will add, all the employees are very nice and helpful even in this trying time. And this is the closest Lowe's if you live in Detroit proper and relatively easy to get to off the 94.

My wife and I were looking for an inexpensive washer/dryer set but didn't really want to buy a used…read moreone from someone's basement. Searzone had an ad on Craigslist for a new set for $800, so we drove there. As you drive north up Gratiot, the area is an abysmal pit filled with dollar stores, wig shops, used car lots, and hand-me-down appliance dumps. We were afraid Searzone would be like that too, but alas, the grass was greener a block north of Eight Mile. The building looks unimpressive from the outside, but the inside is a well-packed and organized layout of every imaginable appliance and some furniture. I don't recall the salesman's name, but he wasn't the kind that pressures you to buy some shit merchandise with fake awesome deals. The set we saw on Craigslist was displayed on the floor for us to see. We kind of wanted to buy the set with their financing since we were unsure if we wanted to spend so much at once, but their credit plan would've cost us over $300 more in the long run (even if we paid it off within three months before more interest accumulated). The salesman was friendly and explained their payment options thoroughly. So, we decided to pay the $800 price, and it was $50 for delivery and installation--even though we lived 25 miles away. He seemed more gracious that we paid cash up front. In the end with tax, we paid $951 for a brand new Whirlpool washer and Amana gas dryer, and with that, he threw in all the components to hook it up: vent, gas line, water lines. We bought it on Saturday, and it was delivered and installed on Tuesday. I researched the set we bought, and the price we paid was a fair price. Plus, I am a supporter of small businesses. For their credit, they don't run a credit check, which is good since I have bad credit. They run a check on your bank account--how often have you overdrawn, missed bank payments, bounced checks, or if your account has had $0 for the past year. With my good bank history, he offered me $1,705 in credit that I could use later if I wanted. I might go back there and see what kind of furniture they have.

I wouldn't recommend you buy from this appliance store. A red flag should have gone up when I seen…read morethat the appliances in the store had dryer sheets inside them. Once I got my refrigerator home and plugged up the smell of mildew was in both my fridge and freezer. The manage, Danielle tells me the warranty doesn't cover smell. What!!!??? Now I have to purchase another refrigerator from a professional, reputable establishment. Check their review they have many unsatisfied customers.
