Alot of options for games. Also had 2 rides in package including racing sim in a car (no pic unfortunately). Also played multiplayer VR Zombies and Tower Tag. Highly recommend experiencing either but only with a friend. Went downstairs and paid ~$10 on a Thurs special for 1 hour of PC gaming with my friend with many options avail. There's also a neat LED color changing bar with various broadcast so you can be sure you won't to miss whatever sporting event you wish to watch. It's a more laid back vibe here and we like it a lot. If you've been to this Chickie & Pete's location before and haven't tried dining back here, just ask the hostess! There's usually plenty of tables available but they tend not to immediately assume you want to sit in this section. We attended a wedding reception on the top floor (third) of the Asian Arts Initiative ("AAI") and…read morehad a great time. The AAI is located in Philadelphia's Chinatown North (Callowhill) neighborhood, attached to a Best Western Plus which was perfect for wedding guests. The center sits on Vine which parallels I-676. It has nice views of the downtown Philly skyline to east and south, especially from the top floor. The AAI is a nonprofit organization. It serves as a community center with an art gallery, workshops, meeting spaces, and theater. The art gallery is located on the first floor and is open weekdays, 10am-6pm. The organization is inclusive, works to promote racial equity, and encourages discourse about the Asian-American experience. Like many buildings in Center City, the AAI building is old and creaky. There are both stairs and an elevator. The stairwell on the lower level had a funky, sewer-like smell. The stairwell had cool, colorful murals. The wedding reception took over pretty much the entire third floor space. The open layout had all-white walls and wood (or wood laminate) flooring. The ceiling was decorated in string lights, there was ambient blue and purple lighting up some of the walls, and six windows provided views facing south towards city skyscrapers. There were white tablecloths, candles and flowers, white folding chairs, bar and catering stations set up along the perimeter by Chef's Table Catering of Philadelphia (https://www.yelp.com/biz/chefs-table-catering-philadelphia), a DJ, sound and lighting system, and photo booth. The ductwork was exposed and generally, the room had a sort of loft or factory feel to it. The reception went off without a hitch. Dinner flowed well, sound was good for mics and music, and lighting was dimmed/turned off for dancing. The reception ran from 6pm to 9pm. During this time, the front door to the center, which otherwise would have been closed, was open. There was a lady stationed at the front desk and she was helpful. The floor was a little warm. I'm not sure if the AC was working or not. There were two restrooms. At this event, they were designated one per sex though I think normally, they're gender-neutral. The ladies got the multi-stall restroom while the guys got the single-stall restroom. This caused a backup for the guys at one point. I think we could have also used restrooms on the other two floors if we had to.

The standout was a guy who I believe is named Michael that was on the main floor - he was wearing this green outfit and was behind the desk, but he really took the time to walk us through some of the main experiences and was just so fun. There was also a guy on the floor with the telephones that was "the manager" and he was really great too, but I don't think I got his name. This is a lot of fun if you're looking for something weird and random to do, and with so many floors you can spend a good amount of time here.

The few hands-on experiences were very popular (the Giant Heart, the Asteroid) and for good reason. I'm sure the exhibits were expensive, but I would love to see a return to more tactile learning for a child-centered museum. The older exhibits like Sir Isaac's Loft, Sports Zone, and Amazing Machines were great for young kids. There were so many engaging opportunities for hands-on exploration. The Science Live Shows were wonderful (we saw Liquid Air and Combustion) and both presenters were very funny and engaging. We spent about 2.5 hours there and could have stayed longer!

When trying to find something to do with my niece who was visiting me last weekend, this came to…read moremy. Because she just finished up a STEM camp for kids back home and her just liking to see/do new things, decided to take her here. Glad I did because she had a blast! We didn't get a chance to see the new Universal Theme park/studios exhibit, but she loved everything else - walking through the heart, the space exhibit where she looked up at the stars and tried to figure out how she would jump in another planet's atmosphere, etc. Great time and look forward to coming back in the future!

The taxidermy displays looked a little tired and dusty but the kids seemed to like them. One parent described them as a "dead zoo". The air conditioning was really struggling when we were there. Gift shop was nothing to write home about, mostly plastic crap and not a lot of books.
