I was a walk in for an ear cartilage piercing and it was done by an apprentice of the owner. She was really nervous seeming, shakey and sweaty. It never healed right and looked crooked. Followed piercing healing protocol (I've had many piercings and know how to take care of them) and it developed a keloid because it was crooked. Went to a different piercer to get her opinion and she agreed it was crooked. Came back to Hole Thing to show them it was done wrong. The owner wasn't there so someone else looked at it and told me it was done crooked and that she personally never lets apprentices pierce her clients. She took it out for me and gave me the owners number so I could ask for a refund. Never answered my phone calls and when I came back twice, staff took a message for me but no one ever responded and no one could process a refund. Do NOT recommend. Waste of money, time and had a hole put in my body incorrectly causing me more pain than necessary because it wasn't healing. read more

TERRIBLE!!! I went about 4 months ago to get my triples pierced. Offer no selection of jewelry and left me with a cheap looking stud. Might I add overpriced as heck. Here's the kicker though, my right piercing was fine, even, and lined up with the rest. My left ear was dotted fine, but when I went to go change my jewelry about 2 months later after it appeared to heal, the piercing on my left ear was almost down to the edge of my lobe. Not only is it ugly, poor work, and inconvenient, I simply cannot wear jewelry in it because it feels like it'll tear my lobe! DO NOT COME HERE. She was really professional and explained exactly what was going to happen for my 2 daughters and myself. We all got piercings, first piercings, double/third piercings and nostril piercing. She uses top grade surgical supplies & it didn't even hurt! The place had a really cool vibe and they were all very nice. I've never been inside a place like this and we were all really impressed. the only reason I ever came was for their tattooer Kayla, and after she left to open her own shop they refused to give me her information. they said they don't have it but after I found her myself I learned it's the same info as when she worked there so they do have it and they lied. they are in the industry of permanent body art. i chose my artist for life and i have sleeves started by her. to lie to me to make a quick buck and try to steal someone else's client.... they obviously don't get how PERMANENT works and their obligation to their clients bodies because they DO permanent work. YOU DONT GET TO DICTATE WHO TOUCHES ME BY MANIPULATING ME. I don't care how things ended (according to Kayla she loves them and it ended very well so I don't know what their problem is. seems very greedy) the fact is it's my body and lying to me about where Kayla went to get my money is despicable and proves where their intentions lie. LITERALLY THE WORST PIERCING PLACE EVER! I went it to get my doubles pierced on a whim almost 2 years ago now, while waiting for brunch next door. This was during COVID when everything was first reopened. I hadn't had anything to eat. Not once was I asked if I had eaten. I have very thick earlobes and their studs were too short, so they decided to pierce me and then use some small hoops INSTEAD of studs! I was pierced by the owner who appeared to be on drugs. When she went to do the first piercing she got stuck on my mask (also feel the need to add that she wasn't wearing a mask when there was a mask mandate in place) so she PULLED on a fresh piercing. She was unphased and basically responded with "oopsies". She then proceeded to tell me that the closure of the hoop might get stuck in my ear so I have to move it around to make sure it isn't inside the piercing. Keep in mind this is the OWNER of this business! She instructed me to MOVE a fresh piercing around! Almost 2 years later and the piercings still haven't healed. The worst experience I've ever had. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I don't know how a place like this is still open for business. read more

However I did feel she knew what she was doing and did my piercing correctly. I didn't really get any aftercare instructions so make sure you look into that yourself. I went to get a jewelry change and was greeted fine. I brought my own jewelry that is very expensive and also a universal piece. My nose was pierced four months ago and was overall healed. I had no pain, no swelling, no blood. It was perfect, until I went in.. the woman doing my change really man handled my face. She was using all these different tools when it's just a simple corkscrew nostril jewelry. My eyes were watering and I was uncomfortable. She then said my piercing wasn't healed and my eyes shouldn't be watering and it shouldn't be bleeding. CLEARLY, all of that was happening because she didn't have a gentle hand and didn't seem to know what she was working with. They then criticized my jewelry saying the post was too short, which I understand, but they didn't even offer any post alternatives at the place (not sure if they sold them, but if they did that should've been offered). She then put my same jewelry back in without sanitizing it and then I was charged $20 for this experience. Yeah not happy and I don't plan on going back unfortunately.. read more

I got my nose pierced and it was super rushed. The piercer didn't even tell me about the jewelry she was using. I ended up taking it out 2 days after I got it done. I have 9 other piercings and I haven't had a worse experience than this one. Usually nose piercings are done with post studs and they used an L ring, which is extremely prone to infection. It was also way too small, the stud started to sink into my nose. Luckily I took it out before anything worse could happen. Comparing it to my other jewelry, it looks like it was a 20g ring, and I know that nose piercings should be at least 18g. I would never recommend this shop to anyone, instead I will tell them to avoid it. read more

Makes me wonder how clean they are if I can still get an infection. Also I wasn't informed how to clean it or any after care I had to ask other piercing shops.
