I just had to write a review right away! I went in today to get an additional lobe piercing to celebrate a half century of traveling on this planet. We were greeted warmly when we walked in the door. The environment is a very clean and welcoming. It is not a difficult location to find however, you should definitely note that GPS may send you to the school of rock. Thankfully, there is a painted sign that says TATTOO on the building next-door! As I had an appointment, I was able to quickly review and discuss the options for the piercing jewelry. We talked through my significant number of allergies and possible skin reactions. After talking for a few minutes, Monica took me and my husband to the piercing station. We discussed where I wanted the piercing placed on the lobe and we mapped out ideas since I want to come back potentially for an additional spot. We finally agreed on a nice flow on my earlobe. Once we got started with a piercing, Monica was super professional and had me double and triple check where I wanted it placed. She unwrapped the sterile implements and took super care to not have any cross contamination of anything. She gave me warning when she was going to do the actual poke and when she did the poke, it was like a hot bee sting a second. I actually felt the jewelry transfer more than the actual original poke. The whole process took under three minutes. Monica was a wonderful superstar and I look forward to going back to her for the second hole! read more

Monica is an amazing piercer as well as a person. I came into her shop about a year ago with a problem with my nose piercing(had it done somewhere else). Not only was she able to help heal the wound, but she also was able to tell me what size jewelry to get when it heals and I want to change. Fast forward to now, I have had my Tragus and Conch pierced by her. She is gentle and caring. She has been helping me with healing process of my conch as well. Let me start by saying how amazing Monica is! She's super knowledgeable and patient, and made all of us super comfortable. There were 3 of us getting ear piercings and one of my friends was super nervous to get her Tragus and conch done. Monica answered all her questions and probably put the earrings on her ear to show what it would look like about 10 times. And when it came down to it, my friend ended up bursting into tears because she was super nervous, and Monica was such a good sport and had such a calming presence! She did the piercings like a pro. Super efficient and quick. My other friend had ear holes that were almost closed up, and Monica helped to get her earrings in. Overall, great experience! There were great options for jewelry also. Used to love this place! Roy is great. Though Summer that covered for him no-showed to my appts in the past 2x. Had to let the owner know, and she was eventually let go... Then, the new piercer there has not responded to my messages 3x in a timely manner asking when I can get an appt. Quite frustrating to be honest... she also had said I could order jewelry ahead of time to make sure it was there for my appt but then never gave my the website etc. I had to cancel my appt because I was sick and tried to reschedule. Never heard back. Ended up going to SoCo Piercing and had a great experience! read more

Monica is the best! I got my tragus, forward helix, and 2nd lobes done with her about a month ago and today we did my 3rd lobes. UPDATED 4/14/2024 - I came back to Loops & Pierces and got a double helix piercing done by Monica today. I am so pleased to share that the high quality, safe and clean experience I received years ago is still what you get today. Monica was great - very friendly, professional, and informative - and I'm super happy overall. Thank you!! 8/17/2019 The hype is real, and Roy deserves every single 5-star rating he has. I chose Loops and Pierces because of his amazing Yelp reviews, and I am more than happy to confirm, he really IS that amazing! Roy was quick to greet us as soon as we walked in the door, even though there were already several other people in the waiting room. He got our paperwork done quickly and efficiently, and gave me an accurate wait time. Before moving into the piercing room, he went over aftercare directions specific to my piercings and what I should expect during the healing process. Like others have mentioned, the piercing room was super clean and organized. He already had a workstation set up (with all of his autoclaved tools still in their sterile sleeves! I really liked that.) And of course, most importantly, I have to mention that Roy was extremely charismatic - I'm pretty shy by nature and he made me feel at ease and comfortable during the entire process. This is by far the best spot I've come to for piercings. We made an appointment prior and came today for my daughter's 13th birthday to get her nose done. We were pierced by Monica who AMAZING. She immediately put my daughter at ease and had all of us feeling comfortable. The placement was perfect and she was so quick. Cannot recommend Loops & Pierces enough. I wanted triple nose piercings and got all three done at once. It was quick, professional, friendly, and done extremely evenly. So this will be my 3rd experience with loops and pierces and my daughters 2nd at the location. She got her nose pierced here before her 16th birthday. Now she is 18 and her graduation present to herself was to get a septum piercing. This was her first choice experience with summer and she did well. Roy pierced her nose pre-pandemic. Summer is very sweet and calming. She pierced my 13 year old a year ago. I trust her. She explains everything. Answers all the questions you have, even my ridiculous ones. I read Yelp reviews on various piercing places and decided to go with Monica at Loops and Piercings. She is wonderful! O had my ears pierced for decades, and then stopped putting in earrings. When i wanted to wear earrings again, the holes had closed up! The shop is clean, and has a case of jewelry that could be purchased for any piercing you might want. Monica is very skilled and was able to repierce my ears in the original spots. Very knowledgable on techniques and smooth/skillful at the procedure. read more

This was my very first piercing, and I was very nervous and had lots of questions. The woman helping me and my party was wonderful - she not only changed our parties original separate appointments (which was the only option available at the tome) to become one appointment for convenience, but also was very helpful, cleanly, and precise about everything she did, as well as helping calm my nerves during the actual piercing! Would absolutely recommend to anyone in need of a piercing! disappointed with the new person running the shop. I got my lip done by her. she was pretty scattered and unprofessional feeling. Well the swelling went down in my lip a few weeks past getting it so the jewelry was really big and kept rubbing my gums and catching on my teeth. I messaged her several times asking for help resizing it. she never answered. finally the jewelry fell out and I don't have anything to replace it. she still isn't answering messages so I guess it will close up. super disappointed. I got my first piercing done at this shop, my septum done in 2013. I loved the guy who did it and routinely went back to gauge my septum, get new jewelry etc. I'm sad as this used to be the best piercing shop in Santa Rosa. not so much anymore read more

Found this place through Yelp reviews and made an appointment with Summer. She was easy to communicate with and flexible with scheduling. Once in the shop, she explained everything step by step. I saw her take many safety precautions including multiple glove changes, use of new/sanitized tools, wiping down surfaces, and masking, etc. She made me feel very comfortable, answered all my questions, and was available to talk to after the appointment as well. I was due for a piercing and wanted to get a helix on my right side. I got ahold of Loops&Pierces to find out if they took walk-ins or appointments. Roy answered and was very nice. I had checked out his 5 star reviews and was happy to see how many amazing experiences people had with him. When I arrived, Roy introduced himself. V professional. He walked me through each step and made sure the process was as smooth as possible. I felt very comfortable and my nervousness had lessened as more time passed. We confirmed the jewelry. Super cute piece! I was really excited at that point. The prices are affordable and great too! The cost of the piercing was included so that made it really easy. We went to the back room where it was well lit and clean. Roy was very careful about being sterile the entire time and cleaned my right ear really well. Even after I accidentally touched it. The time had come and he nailed it!!! It went by so quick. Normal swelling, not so much pain. I was so impressed, but had a good feeling anyway and I always go with my gut feeling. I'd have to say 3 days later and I am very happy with my results. It takes a year for this baby to heal. Roy went over post-care with me and answered all of my questions. Make sure you pay attention to his aftercare instructions! I be back to see Roy for future piercings. Amazing work, clean shop, excellent service! read more

I'm part of a local moms group on Facebook, and when the question is always posed for a good piercer in town, everyone always raves about Karissa at Avenue tattoo and how awesome and good she is at piercing!!! So I knew that's who I wanted to go to!! I've been toying with the idea for months but keep chickening out. But yesterday, I decided on a whim to go there so I just walked in. She was busy at the moment doing another piercing but the front desk girl was able get me in an hour later so I just went to target and shopped around while I was waiting. I was super nervous and anxious about it but she was so kind, calm and welcoming. She's also just a super cool person and easy to talk to, so it was a good distraction while she was getting everything ready. She was very gentle , clean and thorough. Explaining the process and everything she was doing as she was doing it. Her calm, welcoming personality really helped my anxiousness and ease my mind. She did the piercing and it was SO quick, barely hurt!! She put the jewelry in and I was done. She explained the healing and care process very thoroughly. The whole process from walking in, to paying and leaving, was 15mins tops!!! Prices are very reasonable! Basic jewelry was included with price but I paid a little extra for a gem. I'll go back in 2 months to see how it looks/if it's healing good and change the length of the bar if needed. I highly recommend Karissa to anyone who wants a piercing!!! she also does younger kiddos ears too!! I'd totally take my young daughter to her in a heartbeat if she wanted her ears pierced!!! I went to get my Forward helix pierced at this shop back in 2017. The bar that was used was way too…read moreshort. My skin started to swell and I went in to get it changed to a longer bar and they said that they were not able to change the bar because they had multiple other appointments which I understand, however, the next day my piercing ended up inside of my ear which resulted in a lot more pain that could have been avoided.

We arrived in this super low key spot in Sebastopol. I immediately was drawn to the aesthetics inside. Jess was welcoming and really nice. Jess covered the procedure and aftercare in detail. We picked out jewelry. They have a bunch of options. We wanted gold. I went with a cute piece from this brand Juniper that's made in Canada that composed of a cluster with opal and CZ for my double helix. Every purchase they plant a juniper. Loved that. From this visit, I found out that an orbital consists of two piercings and decided to go with one. It's all I could take. My girlfriend chose hers, super cute crescent moon for her conch. Within 30 mins we were off and ready to go. Jess sent us home with saline sprays. Unfortunately, my ear ended up swelling and it was super painful for a couple days. I contacted Jess and she changed my post to give more room. No infection, my ear is back to normal. Super grateful Jess was able to see me. Whatever you do, don't touch your piercing and be careful of snagging. An irritated piercing isn't necessarily an infected one. I'm looking forward to getting more piercings! Jess is someone to trust in getting one done with care and comfort. Super happy and more than satisfied we came here.
