I have been wanting to get my nose pierced for quite a while. I have had both nostrils pierced before, among many other piercings from when I was younger. But it's been over 10 years since I've had a piercing and I was really anxious about it. I'm part of a local moms group on Facebook, and when the question is always posed for a good piercer in town, everyone always raves about Karissa at Avenue tattoo and how awesome and good she is at piercing!!! So I knew that's who I wanted to go to!! I've been toying with the idea for months but keep chickening out. But yesterday, I decided on a whim to go there so I just walked in. She was busy at the moment doing another piercing but the front desk girl was able get me in an hour later so I just went to target and shopped around while I was waiting. I was super nervous and anxious about it but she was so kind, calm and welcoming. She's also just a super cool person and easy to talk to, so it was a good distraction while she was getting everything ready. She was very gentle , clean and thorough. Explaining the process and everything she was doing as she was doing it. Her calm, welcoming personality really helped my anxiousness and ease my mind. She did the piercing and it was SO quick, barely hurt!! She put the jewelry in and I was done. She explained the healing and care process very thoroughly. The whole process from walking in, to paying and leaving, was 15mins tops!!! Prices are very reasonable! Basic jewelry was included with price but I paid a little extra for a gem. I'll go back in 2 months to see how it looks/if it's healing good and change the length of the bar if needed. I highly recommend Karissa to anyone who wants a piercing!!! she also does younger kiddos ears too!! I'd totally take my young daughter to her in a heartbeat if she wanted her ears pierced!!! I went to get my Forward helix pierced at this shop back in 2017. The bar that was used was way too short. My skin started to swell and I went in to get it changed to a longer bar and they said that they were not able to change the bar because they had multiple other appointments which I understand, however, the next day my piercing ended up inside of my ear which resulted in a lot more pain that could have been avoided. read more

From the initial phone call to payment, the staff provided amazing customer service. Maggie was awesome. She was very patient and took her time to explain things. We ran into a little bit of an issue with the barbell but she was gentle and quite apologetic even though it wasn't her fault. I appreciate it everything she tried to do and her professionalism. I would definitely recommend her for any piercings you may want to do. She was constantly changing gloves and things were sanitary and Covid clean. It's funny coming from somebody who's been tattooed most of their life between getting old school kitchen, tattoos, and in many a tattoo shop I will say this this place was so welcoming and lovely from the smiling face that you meet when you come in the door to the awesome tattoo artists that are not only extremely talented, but they are able to talk to people and understand what you want and realize this is going to be something that is a part of your body for the rest of your life that they make it a priority to make sure you get exactly what you're asking for. I had gotten my eyebrow and dermals pierced here about five years ago but had to take them out due to a job I had gotten. Long story short, I was only at that job for a few short weeks (so I was hella upset I had taken out my piercings). I'm not sure why I waited so long to get pierced again bc the place I did end up staying employed at, didn't restrict piercings but I finally did it today. Took about 5 minutes to sign papers and get me setup. The whole process took about 20 minutes or so. The place was clean. The artists were all wearing gloves and you could tell everything was sanitized. Maggie was my piercer. She was super sweet. and communicated everything she was doing. I wasn't nervous at all (I remembered that the piercings didn't hurt at all last time). Sure enough, the eyebrow piercing was a breeze. I hardly felt anything. The helix piercing was easy as well. I barely felt the needle. I'm super happy with my new piercings. And hopefully won't ever have to take these out bc man, I look good! read more

Soooo. I had my nose pierced yesterday by a really sweet lady, long dark hair, kind short. She had two nose studs, one on either side, false lashes and a couple other piercings. First off, when she "pierced" my nose with the needle she did not pierce my nose all the way through. Instead of using the needle again she forcefully tried pushed the stud through my nose for a good 2-3 minutes. After that she got a "taper" to help the piercing go through, (this was after another couple minutes of forcing the stud through the unpierced skin.) which my friend said was just another needle. She then cut my skin inside my nose to get the stud through. after that there was a red mark on my nose, she told me "yeah. That's from when I had my tool pressing down on your nose. It's just a little red" when I looked close she had actually cut/stabbed me with her "taper" she was using. So she lied to my face. My friend who was watching me said she was absolutely appalled by the way she was handling me. (My friend has two nose studs she's gotten done before and has never had this happen to her and has gone to the other piecing at the shop, Karissa I think?). If you go to this shop, don't go to this other lady. I should've gotten her name. I honestly wish I could get my money back! I even tipped her $10 on top of it before I realized she stabbed me! read more

This shop knows it's stuff! The staff are very funny, outgoing, and kind making sure to relax you and have you feel at home with whatever experience you choose. The shop was extremely clean, organized, and open; nothing seemed sketchy or suspicious about it. And the pricing is definitely more than reasonable, a lot better than most shops. My friend and I came at opening time to get quick little tattoos done and they had us in and out in less than an hour with smiling faces, and not empty wallets. Got my helix piercing done here by Montana! She was super rad and I really appreciated how careful she was with my piercing because I had never gotten a cartilage piercing done before. It has been an interesting healing process; at first it was fine, then it got a little infected but that's my own fault because I kept sleeping on it on accident, but with Montana's advice it's now healed and I'm extremely happy with my piercing. After a rough couple of weeks my best friend, daughter, and I decided it was time for us to get tattoos we have been wanting. We went to Avenue hoping they would take walk ins. We were greeted with friendly and helpful hellos. They took the pics we had of the tattoos we wanted and went to the different artists, deciding who would take what. My daughter needed one of her skateboarding dinosaurs drawn and the artist worked with her on it. This was my first tattoo and I'm a wimp, but my artist was so nice and took plenty of breaks while doing my little hand tattoo.
