There is always a good ratio of teacher to student. All of the instructors are fight trained and ring experienced. More than a handful have been to Thailand to get real deal training. There is a strong link between Rebel and the technical Sitjaopho gym in Hua Hin. The owner of the gym, Eddie Cuello, is a New York native and you can tell from his approachable but straight forward manner. He trained for a long time out of Sitan Gym with Aziz Nabih, who has a strong kickboxing background. Cuello has also been out to Sitjaopho multiple times. He really emphasizes technique which can be seen in the style of his trainers, like Rod Williams. Cuello also hosts Muay Thai shows at Madison Square Garden. The gym has a lot of gear at hand which is awesome. They are connected with the international and very fashionable gear company Infightstyle. The only downside of the gym is that it doesn't have showers. On the plus side there is a Chipotle across the street.

Whereas, if I just joined a gym or tried working out on my own, it's too easy for me to push exercise aside for later. When I moved to New York in 2017 I started from scratch in finding a place to belong and get motivated. So for about a year I postponed that and consequently my fitness sagged. I didn't feel overweight but I did feel disappointed in myself for losing so much strength and tone. Finally I found Booty by Rudi and the awesome Tiffany Rudi. Her approach to teaching barre was so energetic, that I finally felt the engagement I'd been missing. In the last couple of years I have taken Tiffany's signature group barre classes and eventually started working one-on-one with her for strength + barre combo training. She is excellent at tailoring movements to each student's needs, even taking time in busy group classes to offer alternative movements for different fitness levels or specific injuries. I am currently 4 months pregnant and want to keep up my prenatal fitness; she's worked with me through this transitional time. Sometimes during a session I feel that fatigue we all sometimes feel when working out. If I was on my own, I'd probably just stop. But with Tiffany coaching me, whether amid a group or one-on-one, she keeps the enthusiasm and encouragement flowing so that I want to live up to the goal. I keep going or get back into a movement and finish it out. Tiffany has been fabulous one-on-one adapting our strength training to my changing needs, yet I feel stronger than ever and have been better able to keep up my energy levels. I feel that I'm really set up well to gain pregnancy weight at a healthy rate and bounce back faster postnatally.

Steve and his wife are very nice and friendly people. Steve didn't waste anytime showing my son the ropes and explaining things to him in such a matter that he would understand and get it. I know that it was only the first day but I think that this is going to be the start of something great. By the time we walked out of the gym, my son was worn out but said that it felt good to have someone like Steve to train him and push him with encouragement. I asked him how did his first day feel and he replied that it felt great. I enjoyed my conversation with Steve. I learned about him as an individual, as a boxer and a trainer. He shared his personal journey on how he came to open the boxing gym 10 years ago.
