From the beginning, there was something special about the way he taught. He led with patience, consistency, and genuine care. He has a remarkable ability to connect with children, earning their respect while making them feel supported, valued, and capable. My son looked forward to every class, not simply because he enjoyed karate, but because he felt seen and encouraged. Over the past four years, I have watched my son transform. He has gained confidence, discipline, focus, resilience, and self-respect. When challenges seemed difficult, Sensei Pete taught him to keep trying. When he doubted himself, Sensei Pete helped him believe in his own abilities. It was naturally very upsetting and he had a lot of emotions to deal with, especially at that young age, which is difficult. Kyoshi Herman was so kind to him and still is. He helps him get through those humps with his emotion and teaches him to channel them in a positive, productive way. Now my 5 year old twin daughters attend as well. They love it. They come home proud of their belts and about all of the moves they learn. They also learn great lessons like help mom around the house and don't wait until you're asked. Invaluable! They also have camps for days off and fun events like Nerf Wars and movie nights. Don't skip this place!
