We were so proud. When our children arrived, we did exactly that. We enrolled our son when he was just 4 years old, and now at 9, the progress he has made is incredible. Over the years, he has developed strong focus, concentration, and discipline that carry over into all areas of his life. Watching his growth has been truly rewarding. We were so impressed with the program that we also enrolled our daughter at age 3 in the Saturday classes. She is now 5, in the regular program, and doing very well. Both of our children have advanced to higher belts and continue to grow in skill and confidence. This school has had a very positive impact on both of them. Grand Master Chung, the owner, brings exceptional passion and deep expertise to every aspect of Taekwondo. He is amazing with the children. The head instructor, Master Michael, is truly outstanding--one of the best instructors we have ever seen. He has an incredible ability to teach Taekwondo to anyone. He is patient, kind, and has a natural understanding of children. Beyond his mastery of Taekwondo, he excels at communication, especially with kids of all ages. Everyone was amazed that we were able to find a drop-in gym for kids, but these guys made it no big deal. They were communicative via email, welcoming upon arrival, and even recommended a more suitable class for my kid. Many of the parents also practice and from what I've seen, the teachers know what they're doing. They use humor to engage the kids, never screaming or forcing them. We would happily join this gym again if we're ever in the area.

This is truly an excellent dojo, under new leadership (Sensei Novik) since 2018, with an empathetic, skilled head Sensei who truly cares about all his students' needs. Sensei Novik has fostered a trusting environment in the dojo, one of warmth, safety, focus, and clear self-defense instruction. I recognize and acknowledge that people did not always agree with or get along with the previous Owner/Sensei's affect or "old school" approach, regardless of how well-intentioned. Sensei Novik should not be judged on "ancient history," as his leadership/dojo is now completely different. Sensei Novik has transformed this dojo into a more modern, client-focused engagement, introducing kickboxing into this well-rounded martial arts experience.
