Came back again and honestly left even more impressed. What stood out this time was how well run…read moreeverything is. The space is immaculately maintained, thoughtfully organized, and clearly managed with care. Even a tiny, barely noticeable mess was handled immediately--with signage up and everything addressed so seamlessly. It sounds small, but it speaks volumes. So many places today feel understaffed or chaotic, and we've all learned to excuse it because running a business is hard. That's exactly why this place feels special--it's staffed, prepared, and genuinely on top of things. You can tell they invest in good management and actually take care of their space and their team. The matcha was excellent (again), and the staff were calm, warm, and incredibly professional. I witnessed a customer being a bit rude, and the way the team handled it--with grace, patience, and zero tension--was honestly impressive. The vibe here just feels happy. You can sense that the people working here enjoy being here, and that energy carries through the entire experience. Thoughtful, polished, and consistently lovely. This place continues to set the bar.

The thing that puts it slightly above average is the ambiance. I love that it's coffee... and shopping for plants. It's a really nice touch and a fun spin on a coffee date. Everything is reasonably priced. Pretty standard to other coffee shops

This coffee shop has quietly become my Dallas work-week crush…read more It's conveniently close to the office I'm using while I'm here, but the real draw is the vibe. Beautiful sunshine pours through big windows, there's a lovely park right outside, and the light is so good it feels like the café equivalent of a good hair day. Dallas weather helps, obviously--but this place knows how to use it. The space is lively without being chaotic. Plenty of outdoor seating, lots of indoor seating, and a very reasonable three-hour Wi-Fi window that keeps people working instead of camping. It feels intentional. People come here to stay, not hover in line. Speaking of which--there's never a line. They're clearly well staffed, everyone's efficient, and everyone is genuinely nice. Now, pastries. This is where they shine. A lot of unique options you don't see everywhere, and everything I tried was excellent. The almond croissant? Fantastic. The blueberry cake? A must-get. I went two days in a row (because obviously), and on day one they told me it was their most popular item. Day two, by 11 a.m., it was completely gone and kept selling out as soon as they tried to restock. That alone tells you what you need to know. The matcha is good--made from scratch, which I appreciate. Is it the best matcha I've ever had? No. It's better than Local Johnny's, but not quite on the level of Marin Coffee Roasters or Ralph & Rose. Still very drinkable and enjoyable, especially if you're settling in to work. What really sets this place apart is its personality. It doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter café or "insert minimalist coffee brand here." There's charm. Character. A little whiteboard with a joke about New Year's resolutions that made me smile. Small details, but they matter. Would I come back? Absolutely. I already did--twice. I'd recommend it especially for locals looking for a solid work spot, co-working with a friend, or anyone who wants to be productive without being bothered. If you're visiting Dallas briefly, this might not be a destination café--but if you're here for a bit and want a reliable, pleasant, sunny place to work and snack, this one's a yes.

Amazing coffee spot in a cool Walnut Hill complex…read more I like the vibe here and their coffee is always on point. I've only been during the day and always spend a little time working before a coffee meeting. The WiFi is always good and the coffee is great. The ambiance is very open and inviting as well. They serve small bites as well but I haven't really partaken. Additionally, I think they have several beers on tap and they appear to all be cool local brews. If you're looking for a good local coffee shop with a vibe, this may be your new spot!!

I also buy their bags and use it at home in my Keurig (they ground the beans for me if I ask). I also loveee their pastries. The strawberry pop tart and the kolache is great. Their merch is really cool. Just know that this location has very little seating space.

Merit Coffee is one of those places that just gets it right every single time…read more No matter what seasonal drinks they roll out -- and they always have something fun and creative -- my husband sticks with their classic black cold brew, and it never disappoints. Smooth, bold, perfectly balanced... it's become his non-negotiable order, and honestly, I get it. I don't usually grab anything from the bakery case, but everything always looks so fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented that it's tempting every visit. You can tell they take pride in what they offer. Circle is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. It's the kind of service that feels genuine and makes you look forward to coming back. Whenever I'm in the area, Merit Coffee is an automatic stop -- great drinks, great people, great vibes. Always a highlight! P.S. There's always folks working here, so it must be a popular spot to answer a few emails.
