The location made it easy to get around London, and the complimentary breakfast was one of the best we've had at a Holiday Inn Express. A special thank you to Nicoletta in the breakfast area. She was absolutely amazing--friendly, welcoming, and always making sure guests had everything they needed. In fact, everyone we encountered during our stay was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help. On our last day, the hotel stored our luggage so we could continue exploring the city before our departure. The staff made the process simple and were extremely helpful, which made a big difference. Great location, great value, great breakfast, and outstanding service. We would happily stay here again on our next trip to London.

Hotel is nice with friendly staff…read more Unfortunately, I purchased two City Sight seeing tickets for 88 pounds from Holiday Inn and upon getting to the stop to get on the "hop on-hop off " bus, we were told that the tickets were not valid. We spent about 40 minutes trying to contact the company & hotel to no end. We then purchased additional tickets at 66 pounds so that we did not waste our day here in London. The staff at Holiday was really trying to be helpful, but seemed that their hands were tied. For two days of trying to rectify this, I contacted my credit card company to file a dispute. My advice to anyone staying here is to not purchase City Sight seeing tickets from IHG, but to go direct to the bus stop so as to avoid this aggravation.

Only one thing I will recommend for the hotel is if they can install USB ports (I cannot found one) in the rooms will be very helpful. Most of the tourists needs USB for their phones or tablets. They have Euro and UK sockets inside the rooms, but no USA sockets! I bring my only adapters. But for customers who did not bring one. An USB charge port is all they needs! The ambience is very Art Deco, so wether you fancily dressed or casual, this place is for everyone. The rooms are very small, fair warning! Apartment 10 has an upstairs sleeping loft, a spacious living room, and a full (but small) galley kitchen). The rooms are also spacious and lovely. One caveat, which is that the bathrooms are different. Stylish, but not exactly easy. Weird johns in some apartments, deep tubs with wall mounted personal showers. Very English. I don't mind at all, but they may not appeal to some.

Furthermore, the hotel is located directly on a street, which is noisy also in the night. I had to sleep with my earplugs because even if the window was closed, the room was still noisy! That was very unpleasant! Nevertheless, I would recommend the hotel because it wasn't that expensive and you can be Downtown in a short time. Don't expect luxury, after all it's a 3-star hotel. If you don't stay that much in your hotel room and just come here to sleep, you will like this hotel!

Furthermore, the cramped hallways, minimal amenities, and low water pressure in the shower added to our discomfort. The noise from the windows rattling in the wind made it challenging to get a restful night's sleep. The issues with ice availability and inconsistent information from your staff regarding this matter only added to our frustration. Then only reason got 2 stars because of the night crew in the lobby. Thank you for the ice you provided us that night although the lady during breakfast said there's no ice because the machine been broken although night shift gave us some 4 hours ago. Regrettably, due to the unpleasant conditions and unsatisfactory service experienced during our first night, we made the decision to cut our stay short and relocate to another hotel. While the affordability of Phoenix Hotel is commendable and great location and close to everything , the overall quality of the facilities and services leaves much to be desired.

We had a one bedroom suite, which was a lounge area with sofa bed separated from the bedroom by a super thick curtain. Even the sofa bed was extremely comfortable. Beautiful linens. Small well appointed bathroom. Service was helpful and accommodating to chemical allergies. Also we requested a quieter room away from the construction and they were able to make that happen too.
