The hotel is a bit older but not run down it has the charm you would expect from an older building. They have added some newer furniture in the bar area making it comfortable. The outside area is probably amazing in the spring and summer. It is a bit cold now to be outside but I was able to push through the cold and enjoy a Gin Martini on the patio. The sounds of birds chirping is what you should expect to hear when you wake up in the morning.

They only offer a 2 hour slot for your table - so if you're driving around finding parking / or the location even then good luck. Then when you enter they will not stop telling you how long you have left. They escort you to the table, and then you're told there how long you have left and to order quickly... this seriously put me off. Such a beautiful place, and the time taken to come out and enjoy it - however the service? Their food was also a total waste of money and calories, not worth it at all! We ordered the salami pizza, chicken halloumi wrap with sweet potato fries, and chicken cutlets platter, served with salad and pitta. The chicken in both mains, was lacking flavour and tasted like rubber. It was like it had been sitting out for some time and zapped in the microwave for 30 seconds. None of the food was hot. Seriously unimpressed, tried to give it a chance. The pizza was just a standard one, that did not taste fresh at all. Following on we ordered dessert. (To add insult to injury?) We got the peanut butter, chocolate stack with a side of vanilla Icecream. This was so stale, it was terrible. Could not even get the spoon / fork through it. We also ordered the chocolate fudge cake - lacked flavour, richness, or freshness. Honestly the whole meal was a disaster. The only thing enjoyed was the diet cola, which came from the can, they could not ruin that atleast. Side Note: the food came in plastic plates etc. Whilst enjoying our dessert we were abruptly told that they had to deliver our bill seeing as our time was up in 5 minutes... please note the garden in the area we were in was pretty much vacant. I just do not understand the lack of professionalism or care for customers. We just paid the bill and left immediately after to avoid being told our time had reached 0 minutes. Embarrassing!

The gym is outstanding sand I've been in some hotels that have had sub par gyms and I'm someone of I can I like to workout when I'm traveling. I didn't get to try the heated pool but I will next time. The staff throughout the hotel have really been stellar. I'm looking forward to returning soon

Cleanliness was second to none, the only criticism we might have is the complete lack of seating in the large lobby.
