came here while we were waiting for dinner reservations. so glad we stopped by! what a super chill dive bar. when we came, there were already a lot of people inside. but we managed to find open seating at the bar. i didn't catch her name but the bartender was super nice! it was busy but she managed to check up on us! if i am in this area again, i will def come back!

Solid, friendly, fun dive bar. I live really close and have just came from there. So happy that they've made so many improvements during the pandemic. No more stinky red 20 year old carpet and chairs bolted to the floor. You can tell that the owners really care about rejuvenating the neighborhood.

Great neighborhood corner bar, that's been in the same spot for over half a century. A mixed crowd - young and old, the regulars and passers through. This little public house is definitely a locals hangout. A dimly lit shotgun style layout, with a long row of bench seats with a few table tops to the left when you walk in and the bar counter and bar stools to the right. A couple of tvs in opposite corners have sports going on them. The bar is Cash Only. There's also a small pool table area with darts and a few seats behind the bar to the right, in a separate room. The night of our visit, we walked over from where we had our dinner and were pleasantly surprised. A warm and friendly environment, the bartender made us feel right at home. She smiled and made light conversation while preparing our drinks. Several good taps on hand, some wine options and a full bar - this place is most definitely set up for consuming libations. 3.5 Stars - rounded up instead of down for the great bartender. 00432

I'm personally over (and too old) dealing with sloppy drunks spilling drinks on you, getting pushed around in a crowd or end up in a middle of a brawl Blind Pig is that perfect spot, well at least on a weeknight: chill, low-key, and moody. And, most importantly comfy seating AND solid AZN inspired craft cocktails ($18-$19). Cocktails with black sesame, taro, pandan, mapo tofu, tea, and hot pot flavors? YAS! D R I N K S * Hot & Sour: Tanqueray Gin w/ Iichiko shochu, aloe, rose, hot pot paste, basil, citrus, peychaud's ($18 x2) The sichuan hot pot inspired cocktail was silky smooth from the milk-washed gin, nicely balanced - sweet (but not too sweet) and sour with a subtle málà numbing spice. Stiff yet easy to drink. The manager/bartender, Leo was awesome with great hospitality. Background lounge-y music is not too loud so you can yap and catch-up with friends. Overall, Blind Pig is a great place to unwind after work or start the night off. I think in many ways, Blind Pig just fell a little flat. I would like to say that the service here was amazing. A bartender who sat with you to talk about the menu, the process, and your experience very passionately and intently.  However, I think that the bar program is a little unrefined. Every drink had 10,000 ingredients, and most of them did not work together. If the drink did work together, you just tasted nothing because everything blended together and you couldn't taste any special or fun ingredients.  Unfortunately, I don't think this spot is worth looking for.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

From the moment I stepped in, I felt like I was on a mini getaway. The space is effortlessly cool, with coastal-chic vibes, pops of color, and a playlist that makes you want to stay for hours. The drinks are where the magic really happens. I tried the "Golden Hour" cocktail (highly recommend!) bright, citrusy, and dangerously easy to sip. Yuka fries, ceviche clasico, carne asana tacos, al pastor tacos. The chips were solidly crisp, crunchy, and paired very well with the ceviche. The carne asana tacos with the salsa macha was juicy and perfectly done, and my favorite small bite of the night.. The Yuka fries were perfectly salted and the aioli dip was exactly what you'd want out of fries. My friends recommended the Kiwi and I found it refreshing, almost like a drink you'd have at a spa or so. I also tried the Oaxacan, which was styled like an old fashioned. I thought it was fair, but if I were to pick a favorite out of the two, the Kiwi would be my choice. Even with a busy crowd, the service was attentive and checked on us every so often. They do go heavy on the ice with some of the drinks but they all came out in different glasses, different sizes, and different flavors. It was fun tasting them all. My favorite was the watermelon and guava. I would definitely come back for the drinks. I didn't enjoy the food, and here's where it went wrong. We first got our chips and salsa. The chips are seasoned like Doritos so there's a nice flavor but the seasoning is in consistent. Some pieces were SO salty and some had no seasoning. The salsa is pretty rich as well. When our ceviche came, I ate a bite without the seafood and it tasted fishy. When I tried the actual seafood part, I knew it went bad because it had such a strong odor. We had to send it back but saw them serving it to other people. I eat a lot of seafood and I don't mind a slight fishy taste but this was definitely a food poisoning situation. After that it took a very very long time to get our last dish. Unfortunately when it finally came out, it was a disappointment. The octopus texture tasted like it had freezer burn, then was over cooked, sat too long after it was cooked because they had to make the fries. The fries were fresh but the octopus was dry, cold, hard, and chewy. I've had lots of pulpo before and this was a let down. It was a bummer that we didn't get to eat much and decided to walk somewhere else to finish dinner.
