I went to Justa Center to have somewhere to hang as living in my car was boring. I did not ask for…read moreservice, but got treated with the utmost respect as a person. The Quality I received was throough, as I got help getting off the street. I think they liked my dog, as they took care of him first. Shots, License, check-up. I love Justa Center as they are perfect for getting help when you are homeless. It has been close to 3 years, and I am getting ready to go homeless again, as I am having surgury in the next week, and cannot work to pay my rent. I need more help, this time with a pro bono lawyer about my past that stops me from getting a place I can actually afford. It has been over 23 years, and I still have a record that says 'just live in your car' and my record is really old and now the drug is legal. I will go back to Justa very soon, as soon as I can get some add'l gas to get there. Thanks Justa!

I mentioned that she could have told me this earlier. I stated that I'm the only one too, and I'm contacting my card issuer to obtain a receipt. I concluded that I would not attend her parade. I knocked down a star. Sorry! I attended their Happy Hour event at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale on Nov 1 to watch this year's chosen Grand Marshal, 1980s supermodel Kim Alexis, speak about her career as well as to lend support to recognize our nation's local veterans. She lives in Scottsdale with her husband and was contacted by this organization due her stance as a local role model and positive outlook. She also did a photo op + signing afterwards. I brought my Glamour magazine (January 1983 issue ;) ) for her to sign! The organization did a good job with the setup and appetizers and showed up on time. And, they were were polite and professional with Kim. It was a fun-filled evening and I hope to watch the parade in uptown Phoenix on the 11th!i

I was first exposed to this charity many years ago as a child, when my mother was a volunteer. She taught me about what the organization provided and as a family we participated in their food and clothing drives at church. The organization is well run and their food drives help feed many needy individuals and families throughout the year. I'm very impressed by their efforts and we continue to contribute to this day. But once I got there, I saw they had all their paperwork clearly posted, and the people were warm, responsive, and genuinely caring. They took the cats in without hesitation and made sure everything was done properly. It ended up being a really positive experience, and I felt safe leaving the animals in their care. They're clearly doing good work for animals in need, and I think they deserve community support and donations to keep going.
