The bartenders are super nice and always remember what you're drinking. This is not the place to go if you want fancy craft beer or the best cocktail of your life. As I had not known him personally and only had stopped in once before, taken in by the warmth and caring of the staff there, thinking I might have found a place that felt like home, I came today. I expect he must have been very loving, by the caring people I met today. I felt the presence of his spirit upon my visit. I told Renee' that change happens whether we want or expect it or not. The Gentry is closed. I am sad as what ever takes the place will not have the same comradery that I felt there ever so briefly. The music played overhead is early 2000s emo and punk which is cool. But does not fit with the aesthetic of 90s nostalgia. The staff is unprofessional and some rude. Vaping behind the bar, drinking, and taking their time letting lines build up. They also let way too many people in. It came to the point where it felt like you were on the subway going home during rush hour. Shoulder to shoulder, back to back -- not a good feeling at a dive bar. If you're not gonna listen to Drake and drive to the bar -- the parking lot is a single lane joke. Park down one of the side streets.

Entrance has a tiny step up, but inside is accessible. Gender-specific bathrooms, big bar, lots of tables and TVs. Drinks are a good pour but $15.60 for a Woodford on the rocks is a lot. Bavarian pretzels were good, loved the mustard, and our food was good. We would stop back to watch TV next time we are in town.
