I will say 4 1/2 stars only with a caveat so I still wanted to give it five stars. It is such a…read morecharming boutique hotel in a lovely neighborhood, it took a minute to find the hidden gems in the area and it could feel a bit stark at night and there is not an elevator so after long days you should know that (not a problem with luggage as they were more than kind to take it up and down). And now for all the reasons I love this place and shall be returning. The rooms are spacious and beautiful with lots of natural light, I stayed on the street side and it is quiet enough to do that and I loved the view of the beautiful fascade across the way, but you could also get a room facing the garden and the garden is such a treasure. I've already writen a review of the Buttery located right in the hotel as one of my favorite spots so staying here means you always have a lovely garden and cafe for breakfast, drinks, and lunch. The bathroom was beautiful and again more spacious than most as far as the shower. The AC is brand new and with London getting hotter and hotter in the summers and that heading into the fall most places are really not prepared so I was so grateful that it worked so beautifully. I loved all the small touches in the rooms and the cleaning staff was superb, everything was like brand new each day. Even the small lobby was a place to take a quick beat before or after ones day and I enjoyed all the reading materials they supplied. All of this for one of the best prices around in Belgravia, one of the most beautiful parts of town. But what distinguishes this beatiful boutique the most is the excellent service at every turn. Every person who works there is so professional, welcoming, engaging, and just very lovely. That includes cleaning staff and folks they contract to fix things that might be amiss in your room. This is just so key for me when being away from home. Thank you Thomas, Sanjay, Abi, Tas, and Oxanna for making my stay so special, grateful.

My two girlfriends and I rented a triple room and it was roomy enough for us, all of our luggage and towers of shopping bags. We were only given one key, and you have to be buzzed in for safety reasons after 10 or 11 pm, but that was fine for us. The staff was so accommodating. The bathroom had a towel warmer which came in handy- it is freezing in London right now. We had the perfect view of The Buttery's garden from our huge window. There is an adorable market just steps away- for provisions after hours. In the states we are used to hotel rooms having in room refrigerators- but the market made it easy to get cold drinks every night. 10/10

The hotel staff could not have been more kind and welcoming during our stay and helpful as we planned excursions inside and outside the city. We stayed in the Kensington room on the 3rd floor, a cute twin bed room that was perfect for a mother/daughter trip. The hotel is handicap accessible with an elevator so it made it very easy on my mum and her bad knees! The bathroom was extremely spacious with a tub/shower combo and a skylight! Every day, the staff leaves a fresh supply of expresso, tea, coffee, water, etc in your room - all on the house! As others have mentioned, there is a delightful English breakfast available every morning from 7:30-9:30 am. We are early risers so this was a perfect way to kick off our day! You have an assortment of yogurt, granola, fruit, cereal, eggs, sausages, bacon, toast, baguettes, croissants, etc. as well as fresh coffee, tea, apple juice, orange juice and OJ. The lovely couple who owns our hotel helped us plan a great trip with the Evan Evans tour company and gave us recommendations on what to do in the city. The other desk staff and restaurant staff are great as well! One of the best things about this hotel though is the location. We were able to take the tube, walk or an Uber to every single part of the city. In other words, being so centrally located allowed us to travel quickly and inexpensively! If you stay here, I'd recommend checking out the following local restaurants as well: Cambridge Street Kitchen, Kazan, Paradise Indian Restaurant, O Sole Mio and Sri Suwoon. Variety of international cuisines and you can read my Yelp reviews about them as well!

My only reason why I haven't given it a five star is rudeness of the kitchen chef ( one in particular) when my family requested her for a 10 min early break fast , it would have been fine if she had politely declined , instead of almost screaming at me in front of my son and other guest on what the timing was , very embarrassing moment . When you travel, you're not going to live in the room, right? I searched for affordable (at least…read morefor London) lodging and in writing this was all I needed. Just a space with a bed and my own bathroom. So I booked it! The rooms themselves are not as bad as I was fearing. They are actually MORE spacious than I thought. The bed is quite large, the bathroom has enough room to swing a small cat, and the storage under the bed is a stroke of genius. The controls for the lighting and heat/cool are really great. They've really figured out how to pack us all in like herrings in a jar of mayo. Speaking of which, I did buy a jar of said fish in said condiment while travelling through Denmark, but as there were no fridges I asked if it would be fridged in their facilities. Without any hesitation they said it was fine and labeled my foodstuffs and gave me a claim ticket. I arrived late at night, and it was a Monday or something and so many food places were closed. I decided to eat in the restaurant and asked the guy on duty if the kitchen was still open. Though many things were unavailable, the chicken curry was available. Mohammed went above and beyond when he said they were out of rice, but he'd run down the road and get rice for me! It was such a treat to have a filling hot meal after a day of airports and trains. He was so nice and friendly; definitely made the start to my stay a good one. Special mention to Alexia and Heba as well, who were both really friendly and helpful. I wonder, in the sincerest amount of praise, if the employees are mostly on work assignment or hospitality students. They seemed younger, but somehow harder working and not snobbish like a lot of posh hotels where they act kind of pretentious. It's just a suspicion I have, but to be honest, much nicer than a lot of hotels I've stayed at. The only thing I didn't like was the fact there are NO windows to the outside. I'm not claustrophobic, but it's not until you try and wake up in the morning that you realize the importance of windows. Something to keep in mind.

I think I spent about 2-3 hours there in total. I'm not one for an alcoholic beverage in the middle of the day, but they had these very refreshing seltzers at around $6, which we loved.

We found out about Cherry Court Hotel from a Rick Steves book. We had never visited London before…read more In my research, I realized Cherry Court had a fantastic price and the location near Victoria Station made it handy. The booking process was more involved than doing a usual online booking but not difficult: I emailed the owner to request certain days (about 6 months ahead of time) and had a reply in about 10 minutes saying the days were available and we needed to call to supply a credit card to pay for our first night. We did that promptly and had a choice of first or second floor. We went with 2nd, after asking which was quieter. I didn't hear from them again in advance of our dates but everything was ready when we arrived. A quick walk up the steep, narrow stairs, and we were in our cozy room. As tight as space was, it worked out well. The bathroom is itty bitty but the shower and toilet worked great and fresh towels were supplied each day; soap was supplied, but not shampoo or conditioner. The bed takes up much of the room. The mattress is good and I liked my memory foam pillow. I asked for a hair dryer at the front desk and it worked great. There are lots of plugs, UK three-prong and USB, on two sides of the room. They supply a nice fruit basket for breakfast each day; ours had 2 bananas, 2 small apples, 2 clementines, a Nature Valley granola bar, a pack of digestive biscuits or ginger biscuits, and 2 Capri Suns. There is also a carafe of water, drinking glasses, a hot water kettle and instant coffee, and a telephone. Also, downstairs by the office they have hot and cold water on tap. Noise wasn't a problem either from the street or other rooms. Heavy rain woke me up often one night, but that's not an issue on them. The room doesn't supply much social or work space; there was a table along a stairway landing if needed. However, that was a minor issue for us, as we planned to be out adventuring all the day long. If you want a room to allow you to hang out or have guests, you had best look elsewhere. As promised, the place was very convenient to Victoria Station. That was fantastic! There's even a decently sized Sainsbury's grocery store with long hours right at the most convenient station entrance. That makes it an easy stop to get toiletries or food. I would stay at Cherry Court Hotel again. Quarters may be tight, but that's the norm for London, and the people here are nice and there are positives galore. Rick Steves was right to recommend this place.

With its modern Ikea-meets-Design Within Reach decor, you never feel like you're at some lame mid-tier chain hotel or your grandparent's spare bedroom. Breakfast is generous and professionally staffed. No itchy small talk. No weird family recipes you feel pressured to try. Everything is pretty standard and comfortingly impersonal without being unfriendly. Hot items (eggs, breakfast meats, etc.) as well as cold items (cereal, fruit, croissants, muffins) are available. Various juices and milks (even soy milk) are also available. And, if you have really unique dietary concerns, you can call ahead and they will make sure they have what you need when you arrive. Do you like espresso based drinks? They have a commercial grade automatic espresso maker in the lobby that pumps the stuff out in whatever form you'd like (lattes, cappucinos, etc.) 24-7. Gratis. They also have free WiFi. Although there is no elevator, because it's a residential walk-up, who cares? If you pack light or have your husband haul your suitcases up the stairs, it is no problem. Great price point. Great value. I would say this bed and breakfast is best in class. A word of warning. Don't forget you're in London and accidentally plug your Sonicare toothbrush in without borrowing an adapter.

This was absolutely the best hotel we have ever stayed at EVER. We have stayed at Four Season…read moreproperties, Mandarin Orientals, etc so we know 5 star, and Hotel 41 is on another stratosphere from even those brands and experiences. There is no where else I would stay if I was in London again. The layout of the property very much lends itself to a VIP feel. The entrance is an unassuming set of double doors next to the more obvious hotel entrance to the Rubens property. You can really only tell you're at Hotel 41 from its banner flying above and it requires a hotel key card to even access the building. Once inside, you are whisked up to the fifth floor. The entire boutique hotel takes up only this floor so its very easy to navigate and also very intimate. The lobby and restaurant of the hotel called the Executive Lounge is where the staff will bring you for check in, complete with some Rosé or champagne and a tour of the property and your room. This is where you'll get your intro to how fabulous the staff are. Initially there was some confusion about who we were. They thought we were some couple when we entered the hotel and then "the Parkers" when we were taken to the lounge. Only one other instance when a note was sent to our room for the "Bubs" were we mis-labeled but I really can't fault them for that because other then these 3 instances, every single staff member knew our names and would greet us instantly by those names. HOW are you guys this good! I understand if staff we came in contact with previously would know our names and that its a smaller hotel but the fact that ALL the staff, even people we hadn't met yet knew our names! Get outta town; THAT is service! Then there are the amentities which we took full advantage of. Get yourself well acquinted with the Executive Lounge because you don't want to miss out on this gem. The plunder pantry here is such a treat with all the quality hot and cold free food you can get anytime of day. We loved ending the night here grabbing some free ice cream to take to our rooms as a night cap or getting some free sparkling or still water. Also don't miss having breakfast here. I can say that there was nothing quite like cozying up on a comfy couch during a rainy morning with the water tapping on the skylight above, enjoying some warm tea and delicious food around the rich mahagony and books of the study. Its the best way to start the day! I miss that room so much even now writing this. Our room was also a quiet, great retreat to come back to after a long day of siteseeing. We were located near the elevators but surprisingly never heard a peep from them or any guests. Our windows had views of the Royal Mews though its a bit hindered by the concrete railing of the building. When we arrived there was a tray of mini desserts to welcome us (all delish!). The bed was super comfortable and I thought the room was pretty spacious. I also loved the number of outlets available for charging pretty much everywhere; we didn't even need to bring our global chargers! The only things we didn't like about our room was probably more toward us not being big international travellers and not knowing the way of things. We were really confused with how the lights worked. It seemed like you couldn't turn all the lights off unless you flicked off the master switch. I know there must have been a way to turn on/off different light combinations because of how the turn down staff would set up the room (rose petals and candles!) but we never got the hang of it. We also weren't fans of the rainfall shower heads. You get a shower and a bath/shower combo in the bathroom but we used the bath/shower combo because we kept making a slippery mess trying to keep the water from spilling out of the tub; I could see myself making an even bigger mess from the shower. The tub was also super tall to climb in and out of so you pretty much had to use the hand rail to even attempt to get in or out without slipping. Regardless of all that, it didn't put a damper on our thoughts on the property at all. The staff would leave various turn down goodies each night and one day we even came back to find a decorative tin of shortbread cookies from Buckingham Palace. The very same tin, I might add, that I had wanted to buy and had decided against because I'd already purchased a bunch of other decorative tins full of teas at other tourist sites. I never told the staff this so they must be psychic. I really can't wrap my mind around this level of service. This hotel is the end all be all of 5 star luxury hotels. It's location is steps from Buckingham Palace, many other tourist sites, and prime underground and coach stations as well as a quick walk to the West End for shows. If you are going to London do not consider anything else. You will have the best possible trip if you pick this place; I guarentee it.

The person working in the lounge simply greeted me and helped me pick a flavor! I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. The rooms are beautiful and the black and white color scheme makes them feel very sophisticated. I am not exaggerating when I say during my stay my jaw fell to the floor many times because of how shocked I was by the quality of service and beauty of this hotel.
