I really love this property. Stayed here in April of 2017. Its clean and modern. It's location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk from a conference we were attending at the Queen Elizabeth II Center. Really convenient to the St James Underground station. 10 minutes walking from the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. 15-20 minutes walking to Victoria Station, Harrods, Soho, the Embankment, and Covent Garden .
Rooms are very small, but comfortable. Think hostel meets hotel. What they lack in size, they make up in comfort. Two of us (a couple) are sharing a standard room. It's tight, but fine. The longest wall is painted with a tempered glass panel over the top, making it highly reflective. That helps the room not feel so small. Beautiful, glass rain shower. Staff is friendly and super helpful. Friends of ours got "accessible" rooms because that's what was left when they checked in, they're considerably larger and have a fold down desk.
We requested a room with a window, as not all of them do, since we'll be here a full week. It's a floor to ceiling window, into a passageway (that's inaccessible by anyone) with an exterior window with a view of a brick wall. Not exactly what I expected, but it lets in natural light to help with the jet lag so I'm fine with it. That's all that mattered to me. It's equipped with a blackout roller shade for you night owls. Our friends look out at the construction mess across the street but said that they can't hear it at all.
London is expensive. Save your money. Sleep here and spend your money on things that matter. Memories.
Update: After a week of being here, next time i would spring for the larger room if it were two of us. The size is fine but it's a bit bothersome to always have to repack things into your luggage with the limited storage space. I'd still highly recommend it to anyone! If you're traveling alone, a standard room would be plenty for one. Two traveling for business, for a week, with lots of luggage, it's a bit tight. read more
