After the new parts installation he filled the sink with water to create pressure then let it drain. There were no leaks. I'm very impressed with JR Plumbing's prompt response to problems. Update: Kyle came back today to replace the plumbing under my kitchen sink & remove the evil garage disposal. He did a beautiful job. I'm completely happy with his work, timeliness and how pleasant he was. Finding a good plumber can be tough. Finding one that comes in a timely manner can be even harder. I'm in the midst of a major update & renovation of my mid 80's house. When my husband was alive he could do any household repairs & installation. It wasn't his profession. But he was really good at it. Now I have to live in a "Brave New World", Over the years since he died I've used a number of different plumbers, but none that completely met all my needs. Although my kitchen is planned to be the last project I tackle, I had to take care of leaks under the sink that have gotten progressively worse. There will be a 24 hour period when the bathroom vanities are having new countertops, sinks & fixtures installed. My Contractor's plumber will come the next day to connect them. So the kitchen sink will have to be the replacement for the bathroom vanities during that time period. The leaks must be taken care of before then. My Contractor looked under the sink, took pictures and recommended that I use his plumber. He contacted JR Plumbing for me, sending them the pictures and my contact information. I got a call from JR the next day and was put on their schedule for the following day, The company sent a text confirmation with my technician's name & a noon to 4pm window, which suited my schedule well. When the technician Kyle arrived I was impressed by his pleasantness & attire in a JR Plumbing shirt. He examined the area under my kitchen sink & understood what I wanted done. The leaks were in multiple places: the garbage disposal, P trap & the fixture. Since I would be having the sink & fixtures replaced in a few months I didn't want things replaced that I would be replacing again in a few months. I wanted the garage disposal removed & taken to live in a new home, preferably the City of Virginia Beach's Recycling Center. I wanted the P trap replaced and the fixture problem corrected. Kyle's response on the fixture issue made complete sense as I didn't want to replace it at that time. After inspecting he contacted the office & wrote up an estimate, which seemed very reasonable for the work to be completed. After approving the estimate, I was delighted to receive an early next week date for the repair. Kyle completely understood my needs and was an extremely pleasant technician. JR Plumbing is now my plumber of choice.

I was glad to see the previous positive reviews of Baybreeze held up through my first hand experience.

Some of the contractors I had contacted had yet to reply 24 hours after my call or email. Those who did reply were vague as to the time to repair my problems. We purchased an existing house 4 years ago which had a dual-fuel HVAC system. I contacted the…read morecompany I used for many years at our old house which I was very happy with but, they didn't seem to understand the system. I did a little research of reviews for HVAC companies in Chesapeake and found Simmons had great ratings. I found quickly why they had 5-stars! My previous HVAC contractor had been out twice and I was left with, " you need a new thermostat" and left with a cold house. That's when I found Simmons. They were very responsive and were out within 8 hours. The technician was very polite, professional and explained everything about the system (since I was unfamiliar with a dual-fuel system). He identified the problem and made the necessary repairs quickly. Having had a great experience then, I put the system under contract with them. Since then they have not let me down. They have kept my system in excellent condition. This week I suddenly had an issue with heat. Called and had a technician here within 3 hours. He got the system working but the next day I had the same issue and on one of the coldest days the system was out again. I called after hours and within 15 minutes had a call back from the on-call tech who said he would be here in 20 minutes. He was. The problem was so minute, a loose connection, but trouble shooting that was a pain for him, but he found the problem within 15 minutes. Simmons is my only HVAC system contractor. I know the age of the existing system and understand it only has a few years left in it. I feel confident that Simmons will keep it running great and when the dreaded day comes, it will be Simmons technicians installing a new system.

Had an issue where the fiberglass joint plug on the PVC piping under the kitchen sink came loose…read moreand until I heard it did not realize that water was draning out onto the flooring under the sink. After not having such a great experience with the plumbing company that installed the piping about their price gouging, I had to look for a new plumber to do the repair. I came acorss Atomic. Called at 7:15 am and was given a time for later in the same day. Lady who took the call was great. She called back about ten minutes later and said that a technician was available immediately and would it be ok to send. Naturally I said yes. I answered the door to one of the most friendly repair persons I have ever met, Trey. Firm handshake, big smile and very respectful of carpeting by putting on shoe caps. He quickly assessed the issue, told me the solution and did the repair effeciently and quickly. He also explained every step that he was taking so that I knew exactly what was going on. Turns out the previous pipe installer took a short cut by not sealing the connecting rings and gaskets on either end of the installed pipe which eventually came apart. In my opinion, Trey is the ultimate in skills, customer service, professionalism and friendliness. Atomic and Trey will be my go-to for any future plumbing needs.
