I highly recommend Jovan from Handy Hui if you need anything fixed, replaced, or repaired around the house--especially if, like me, it's something you can't do on your own. They repaired a window with a broken frame for me and replaced an old, failing garbage disposal. About three months after the disposal was installed, it suddenly started making a loud noise. I called Handy Hui, and they came to my home on a Saturday. Jovan quickly identified the issue and fixed it at no charge. Their service, responsiveness, and professionalism have been outstanding. I will definitely use them again in the future. read more

Excellent customer service and prompt communication! It is noted that while the handymen that show up to your door are male and very proficient & polite, this is a woman-owned business. Kudos to owner ms, Gindi! The handymen men that performed the job do excellent work and they exercise great attention to detail when you tell them the specifics of what and how you want the job performed! ! I had Handy Hui replace aging toilet valves/flappers, household light switches, and install a wall bracket for exercise equipment. Their hourly rates are not cheap, but they are reasonable for the quality of work performed. Fishing for bottom priced service? Look elsewhere. Searching for the lowest priced worker will usually result in problems later on. Highly recommended!! read more

Expedite reply and reasonable qoute from Gindi. I wasn't expecting same day service but it worked out that way. The Handy Hui sent Cary for my drywall repair. Cary did excellent work and cleaned up after he finished. I would recommend this company for all your handy man repair needs. read more

Came out to see the scope of work. Kept following up for a quote and never got one. Very unprofessional.

On time. Experienced, respectful, pointed out other items they can help with in the house but it felt like a genuine offer to help, not a sales pitch. Oven installed, no issues. Time and materials work;, oven install was quicker than expected, so less cost than originally estimated. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service from Handi Hui! They came all the way out to Makakilo to provide a free estimate for installing PVC drain systems for three second-floor window AC units. From the beginning, they were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They scheduled the job quickly, showed up on time, and completed the installation even earlier than expected. The workmanship was excellent, everything looks great, and the drain systems work perfectly. On top of that, their pricing was very affordable and competitive, making the entire experience an incredible value. It's refreshing to work with a company that delivers exactly what they promise. I highly recommend Handi Hui to anyone looking for quality workmanship, fair pricing, and outstanding customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and again! read more

We reached out to the Handy Hui to help remove a window a/c unit that the previous owner had installed. On the surface it looked simple enough, but once the built in box was opened up it quickly turned into a tricky demo. Cary, Brandon, and Jovan were able to figure out a solution and diligently removed the a/c, fixed any blemishes, and made sure that any wires or pipes were properly taken care of for safety and/or future set ups. They worked quickly and the area looked great when they left. Totally satisfied and at a very fair price. We would absolutely use them again. read more

My roommate and I needed to get this window fixed ASAP to end our lease. We started working with another business a few months back but they were taking way too long, so I reached out to these guys and they were able to make it happen in about a week. We are so grateful, the craftsmanship is great, service was very prompt and economical considering we had to replace the whole frame and they were able to fit us in last minute. Thank you Gindi and Jonovan for working with us!! 1000/10! read more

I am a Realtor and property manager and have been working with Jovan for a few years now. I can absolutely recommend him as a very experienced and very professional handyman. He has helped me on probably over 40 jobs, even some at my own home- anything from drywall repair, insulating a ceiling, bathroom repairs, caulking, fixing fixtures, installing ACs, fixing windows and hardware, flooring, painting, he can handle just about anything. If you need a good and reliable and fair priced handyman, Jovan is your guy. read more

From the beginning of reserving a date/time online to staff at the scene and final follow up, Handi Hui was professional and very friendly. We needed help to fix a mailbox that got knocked over by a car. The work was finished within 1.5hrs. Again, very friendly and accommodating, we were thoroughly impressed. My double hung window needed a new spring coil. The handyman was a nice young man who was knowledgeable and efficient. He even did a few extra things like removing the screen so I could wash it before putting it back on. Very satisfied with their service. There was a problem with slow communication because they had my phone number wrong. The part took awhile to get here. But it's all good now. read more

The owner, Jovan has been doing handyman work for me for a while now. He has proven time and time again that his work is absolute perfection. So much so that he just finished a complete kitchen remodel for me and its simply amazing!! I've already hired him to do even more work. He also has done work for many of my neighbors and everyone is thrilled! He is an extremely talented person and very professional. His prices are reasonable and he gets it done in a timely manner. And he always cleans up after himself which not everyone does. You can't go wrong with Jovan! read more

I hired The Handy Hui to repair a window in my high rise apartment. The glass was separating from the metal frame. Jovan came as scheduled and methodically took apart the window frame, showed me how the screws holding the frame together had worn down over the over-forty year life of the building. He drilled new holes in the frame and used very long screws to reconstruct the frame. I also added on a new task -- installing a new curtain rod to replace the traverse which had lost lots of its clips to hold drapes. Everything was done within two hours and the ultimate charge was a bit under the maximum estimate for the job. ( The estimate had been made off a video of the window being shaken in its frame by me.) Repair of the window relieved me of the worry of the glass falling out and injuring someone or having to custom order a replacement while the space was boarded up with plywood for months!! read more

Responsive on my request to install a mailbox. Many others, although identified as "handymen" are not - e.g., 2 could not do because of injury; 1 does not install mailboxes; another never responded to a request; a last one high an unreasonably high estimate. It pays to look around, even ones identified on Yelp. The work was efficiently done at reasonable price and to my satisfaction. I may call on for added work on other subjects. read more

First of all, I cannot believe this is a licensed business. They wanted me to provide my credit card before sending their person over for the estimate. This was after I sent photos and they provided the preliminary quote for a very small repair. Next, they stated the repair would cost $175-$250. After they went to my home the repair invoice was a little over $600. The person cut my flooring without permission and removed it from the property. Days later I asked if they were able to match the flooring to anything similar because my realtor noticed the missing flooring. There answer was no because they wait until the invoice was approved and then match the flooring. This was very confusing because they did not have permission to remove my flooring. This caused a huge gap that had to be covered with a rug for open house showings. Very frustrating. I contacted them and the woman said her tech would not have done that. Lies... next, he was scheduled to bring the flooring back. He leaves it by the door instead of waiting a few minutes for me to respond to his call. There are two doors, but he did not check the other door for the lockbox. Or he could have contacted the realtor listed on the sign. I would not recommend them at all. Speaking to the woman at this company was very difficult like she was in her own world. read more
