I hired The Handy Hui to repair a window in my high rise apartment. The glass was separating from the metal frame. Jovan came as scheduled and methodically took apart the window frame, showed me how the screws holding the frame together had worn down over the over-forty year life of the building. He drilled new holes in the frame and used very long screws to reconstruct the frame. I also added on a new task -- installing a new curtain rod to replace the traverse which had lost lots of its clips to hold drapes. Everything was done within two hours and the ultimate charge was a bit under the maximum estimate for the job. ( The estimate had been made off a video of the window being shaken in its frame by me.) Repair of the window relieved me of the worry of the glass falling out and injuring someone or having to custom order a replacement while the space was boarded up with plywood for months!! read more

First of all, I cannot believe this is a licensed business. They wanted me to provide my credit card before sending their person over for the estimate. This was after I sent photos and they provided the preliminary quote for a very small repair. Next, they stated the repair would cost $175-$250. After they went to my home the repair invoice was a little over $600. The person cut my flooring without permission and removed it from the property. Days later I asked if they were able to match the flooring to anything similar because my realtor noticed the missing flooring. There answer was no because they wait until the invoice was approved and then match the flooring. This was very confusing because they did not have permission to remove my flooring. This caused a huge gap that had to be covered with a rug for open house showings. Very frustrating. I contacted them and the woman said her tech would not have done that. Lies... next, he was scheduled to bring the flooring back. He leaves it by the door instead of waiting a few minutes for me to respond to his call. There are two doors, but he did not check the other door for the lockbox. Or he could have contacted the realtor listed on the sign. I would not recommend them at all. Speaking to the woman at this company was very difficult like she was in her own world. read more
