You could say I have a lot of experience with movers as I inherited my father's personally woodworked furniture which added to my own collection that he made for me. I have a lot of sentimental (and heavy) stuff plus I have a herniated disc, so moving is even more overwhelming. And moving every year for so long has been so much less than ideal. I had a go-to mover but they didn't reply when I reached out so I figured I would try someone new out bc, maybe I can have options. Incredibly, Making Moves packed everything much more thoroughly and somehow the move seemed shorter...?! Even accounting for the shorter distance, this move was seriously fast but not lacking one bit in caution. And here is the kicker, it was less expensive too and the team was bigger. I still love the other mover but this team has beyond proved itself so I guess this is my first choice mover now. Treat this team right. They are in demand for a reason.

The second move involved coming the day before to pack up our kitchen, then moving our apartment furniture and packed boxes into our new house. Before the moves, Alfredo came over to assess how much stuff we had and then gave us a quote that was competitive and reflected the actual cost of the move. He had 4 guys do the move -- it's much cheaper to have more guys because they do the move faster and you spend less money. They guys were all very respectful and sweet. Both moves happened fast and efficiently and all our items were moved with great care. Nothing was broken or scratched and the guys remove their shoes before coming in the house. I will absolutely be using Alfredo and his team for all my future moving needs.

Last night the pipe under my kitchen faucet burst and water started gushing out at a phenomenal…read morerate. I couldn't even figure out how to stop the water from coming out and within minutes water was pouring down the stairs and leaking into the floors below the kitchen. After calling everyone I could think of, including the board of water supply, with no one providing any help, I typed in "plumbers" into Yelp and started cold calling down the list. First Class Plumbing was the third company listed but the first one that seemed to care. I was warned that I was calling after hours so I'd have an emergency fee if I wanted service now... I joked "fine - this is an emergency" and was told I'd get a call back as soon as they could get ahold of one of their plumbers. I went back to trying to heave buckets of water into a nearby sink and received a call back 15 minutes later. The plumber was so calm, and after hearing that I was still dealing with gushing water, explained to me how to stop the water flow. He asked me to send him pictures of the burst pipe and the faucet and got off the phone to price everything out including replacing the pipes and faucet. After doing all that work he told me what the cost would be and then said it was no worries if given the price I didn't want to continue on - or at least wait until it wasn't an emergency (an extra $150 charge). I said I definitely wanted the service and he came right out and fixed the burst pipe. I would already have been raving about this place for their competent service if it had been a normal scheduled appointment. But the fact that this company and the plumber were there for me when no one else was, and went above and beyond walk me through how to stop the problems and extremely quickly look into part costs for me before I ever even agreed to the service has made me a loyal customer forever!

They handled it all without hesitation and a positive attitude. Throughout the job, they were friendly, professional, and worked hard and efficiently. Our items were tightly accumulated in an outdoor home storage area over decades and we were discovering items we hadn't seen in ages. They were attentive as they worked and frequently asked for clarification about what to keep and what to trash as the space was cleared.
