Went on a Saturday evening and they had a live band playing. Awesome music! Staff was super friendly with a great selection of beers and wine. It was too hot for outdoor seating but I can imagine how nice it must be during the fall and spring. Will definitely be coming back. read more

The food here is amazing. There sometimes a long wait and they run out of things! Go early and you won't be disappointed. Nothing like it anywhere nearby. The craft beers are also wide selection love to experiment with flavors!price is decent considering the quality! read more

Great place! Always packed, which should tell you something! The burgers are great and there's a nice spot in the back that has corn hole!

This is totally my favorite pub & Grill! I sing professionally all over Central Arizona, in saloons, restaurants, etc., and when I want to go someplace for a beer, great food, and good entertainment, The Handlebar is always my first choice! read more

While we had an excellent experience with our appetizers, the salmon, that two of the people in our party ordered, was significantly over cooked and dry. I took a couple bites of mine and left the rest. read more

It looks like a dive and with the name Handlebars you'd think it was a biker joint but don't let that fool you! Great beer selections. The outdoor patio has an amazing ambience where you can sit back, relax and enjoy your food and beverages. I was initially surprised that there's no deep fryer there no French fries etc but honestly the food is so good, I don't care. The food is gourmet without being pretentious. I haven't had a bad meal there yet. Expect it to be busy because the hype is real! read more

Best local eatery in town with an amazing menu, ever changing selection, and hand crafted excellence. We have lived in Aj for 10 years and for the first time decided to give Handelbar a try... All I can really is say is we totally should have come here a long time ago.... Beer selection is good but not cold. Food took over 30 min to get but was not very flavorful. Server was not very friendly. Thanks only be back. read more

This place is well over an hour from me but I have managed to eat there a handful of times over the years and the experience has always been exceptional. The staff is always warm and welcoming and willing to go out of their way for you. One year I took my grandma there after visiting the Renaissance Fair and was unaware from my previous visits that they had removed all the low top tables except for one that was created for large parties. Even though it was just the 2 of us, they allowed us to sit there since my grandma wouldn't have been able to handle a high top. The food is always well over a cut beyond and it's clear they have some legit chefs on staff to manage their pretty versatile menu. They keep the beer on a nice, constant rotation and prices have always remained reasonable despite the times. I may not get to visit but once every couple of years but this is a place certainly worth going out of your way to experience if you are traversing the Apache Junction neighborhood. read more

Awesome! Burger was great! Green chili burger! Sides were feta asparagus and Brussels sprouts....coming back tomorrow for brunch! If I'm ever in Apache Junction again, this will definitely be a stop! This place knows how to cook beef and I'm from South Dakota! Great staff! Great atmosphere! Patio seating! read more

Wow. After I gave such a great review of this place. I came in about 20 minutes ago and was ignored by the servers. I left because I did not get service after 10 min. And I was ignored rudely by a waitress.. I'm on the verge of never returning... read more

Super cute little place, the patio is amazing!! Very casual and well put together. We didn't eat but with 27 craft beers on tap we were more than fulfilled. I recommend the Sonoran White Chocolate ale brewed local in Phoenix, AZ. Will absolutely come again and try the food next time!! read more

I have visited here 3 times to specifically see Hans Olsen on the patio. My first visit they were hosting a wedding party and we had to sit behind the bathrooms and couldn't see anything. The food was decent. My second visit they were having a retirement party for a fireman. Again we were put behind the bathrooms. Our waitress forgot to put in our order to the kitchen so we waited an extra long time to get our food and my smashed potatoes were undercooked and hard. They interrupted the musician so a group of bagpipes and drummers could put on their show. Last night I went there and they hostess/waitress was standing out front of the entrance coughing her lungs out from a big hit of weed. I was told that they had everything reserved for a party of 30 people so I would have to stand. How do you eat if you can only stand? Won't be going back. Hans Olsen is great. I'll go somewhere else to see actually him play because you can't at this place. read more

The outside patio is very queens and feels like yours sitting in your backyard at home the service was great and very attentive the food was awesome read more

The food for the most part is pretty good, the smoked potato skins are by far the best thing they have. Brussel sprouts are decent too. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is the service it can be extremely slow read more

We had a great time here, and the food was good too! Live entertainment, casual atmosphere, friendly staff. They also have outside dining if the main bar/room is too loud for you. We have been back several times, and the food is consistently good - some unusual items on menu, well prepared. AND we love that theres live entertainment! read more

Great place. We love the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and efficient. The food is delicious and many different beers available.

Great food! Menu is varied for all. Love it!! I highly recommend!! Don't pass it up.

Don't mistake this place for a dive bar! The food - all cooked on an outdoor grill - is refined and delicious. Comfortable outdoor patio, with plenty of space heaters to keep you toasty on cold winter nights. read more

This has to be the best place in Apache Junction. The food was delicious. The service was great. They were even super friendly to my dogs. They brought them water and cheese! My friend and I are both vegetarian and the vegetable Panini is really, really good. The patio is also a nice vibe. They have live music in the evenings also. read more

While hiking in the Sups for a week, I found that the Handlebar had the best food and beer in the Apache Junction area (without driving all the way to Mesa). Friendly wait staff and live music too! I'll definitely be back! read more

My wife and I were looking for someplace new. We checked around Yelp, and saw the positive reviews for this place and figured, what the heck? We'll try it. We were a bit skeptical going in, with all of the glowing reviews, but the high score is well deserved! The food was amazing. The atmosphere was fantastic. All of the crew were happy and hustling. The inside was a bit cramped, so I'm glad we ended up sitting outside. If you can, sit at the grill station, and definitely get a stuffed pepper appetizer. David and Missy were really fun to hang out with while they cooked all of the meals. We are definitely going back. read more

Where to begin? We were greeted kindly and seated quickly. Our server, April, was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. The food was incredible! We lucked out by going on a Friday...dry rubbed ribs with their homemade bbq sauce! Fall off the bone good! The steak salad was perfect, as were the grilled asparagus and grilled Brussel sprouts. Service was with a smile and our order was perfect. No complaints! Will be back! Great atmosphere inside and out on the patio. Very comfortable. read more

Very cool scene... sitting on the back patio, sipping on a citrus mistress brew... I forgot I was in AJ for a second. Nice jazz band on the weekends, not the yawn, slow, boring kind, the upbeat fun kind of jazz. Smoked acorn squash with pecans is amazing. Nice change from the usual AJ bars. Great service, bartender was very educated about all the beers. My new goto!! read more

Went there for a couple of drinks with a few friends after golf. Great atmosphere with lots of beer to choose from and some cool live music. A fun place to just chill. I love all the beer tap handles screwed into the ceiling rafters. Makes for a great decor. read more

Delicious food and great beer! First time trying and when we come back to the area we will stop again for sure!!

Easily the best food and service we've had in months in our cross country road trip. Fun place. Attentive service. Best we've had in a long time! Smoked acorn squash with pecans is off the chain. My wife ordered a smoked corn beef on rye. I'm no Rueben fan but this was unbelievably good. What a great spot. I don't give a lot of five stars but this is one. Thanks Ryan for the fantastic service! read more

We found this restaurant on Bring Fido and was beyond pleasantly surprised with the ambiance and quality of the food. We showed up with our dogs and they didn't even blink.. they found a nice spot for us and our dogs ( not stuffed in a corner )to sit. First they brought the dogs water and made us feel very welcome at their establishment. Then we ordered and WOW what great food. For a small restaurant they do big time meals. They are so worth trying.. especially if you are traveling with your four legged kids like we were. read more

The food is awesome. Our waitress was great and everyone was super friendly. Definitely will go back.

One of my favorite places, best fresh grilled food in all of Arizona.

What a great local hangout, no fryers on the property, everything cooked on the grill! Live music and great atmosphere, love it!

How does this place not have five stars?!?! Comfy space. Great tunes. And the food. The food. The food is phenomenal!!! The food is so good it overshadows a fabulous beer list!! Draft beer deal and smoked potato skins on Tuesday are just the cherry on the sundae!! read more

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, loved the outdoor back patio, great place to hang out and have drinks, eat. Even the wait in the foyer was fine, firepits to relax by. My steak sandwich was fine, but the potato skins were just unsat disappointment: they were not potato skins but potato flesh, tasteless, hardly any toppings on it at all, would not order those again. Another person in my group had a steak that was too tough, I tried a bite and ya, pretty tough. I have no doubt they have better food items. Def go back and try again with other menu choices. read more

We're in from out of town and needed something to eat. Saw the reviews and have to agree it's one of the best burgers ever. I had the green chile burger and my boyfriend had the peppercorn burger. Fabulous!! I had the bleu cheese potato salad as my side. What a great twist. The atmosphere was wonderful. Umbrellas and misters. So perfect!!! Wish they were in Denver!! read more

A bar for beer lovers. If you're looking for great ambiance and a phenomenal beer selection, this is the place. The beers on tap are selections you won't find almost anywhere else in the valley, sometimes they have the only keg of a particular beer in the state. Being from the Pacific Northwest, what I missed was the cosy neighborhood bar with a wide selection of real beer on tap. This place reminds me of the bars in the old neighborhoods of Seattle, where people like their beer and visiting with others. They have great live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, and if you're not careful some of the musicians (Les) will talk you into going to the Waffle House after the joint closes down, it's that kind of place! read more
