Atmosphere is great and the beer was cold...but they really need a kids menu! Not sure if they are trying to deter families, but it worked for us. read more

Food is way overpriced and overrated. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Great place to go have a drink and enjoy the music and weather. The food not so much. This place with better food would be a Home Run! read more

We have gone to this restaurant for years. Food quality remains consistently great and service is very good.

LOVE THIS PLACE. It has a great vibe with an eclectic-style patio and very nice staff. They have a wide variety of food selections on their menu which I also really appreciate. My favorite though... their drink menu... it has something for everyone! Their patio is so fun. I'm excited to go again, later in the evening, when the live music is playing. This is my favorite spot in AJ ! If you are a local, this will probably become a go-to spot for you. If you are a visitor to the area, this place is worth going to. read more

Went there for the first time last Saturday night. This bar has a great ambience. It's outdoors, and the weather was fantastic. The band they had playing that night was terrific. Perfect volume. I had the brats and they were great. The staff there was overly friendly and efficient. read more

If I could give a zero I would my burger was raw and the grill cheese had zero flavor the appetizer oh mushroom panini was mushroom on toast which also had no flavor first time and last Will never come back read more

Had a Habanero burger with cooked zucchini salad. Was very good and spicy. Beer was great. Great service even though they were busy. Liked the outdoor patio. Rustic and welcoming. read more

The restaurant has a fantastic patio. The food is very good. Service was just ok... had to wait for refills on drinks and had to ask. Really wish they had a few items for kids... even just something simple like a plain grilled cheese. We live local and would come way more often if they had some kid friendly items. read more

A satisfied customer for several years. Unfortunately, the pricing and quality of the food items has caused us to go elsewhere. $8 and $8.50 for a beer and sides that used to be inviting have turned us away. The Corn and the Handlebar Potatoes and no longer up to par. Will try again in a year or two, but for now there are plenty of options nearby. read more

I stumbled on The Handlebar Pub & Grill and had an amazing lunch surrounded by very nice people. I was given the choice to sit inside or outside on the patio. I picked the patio and asked that the outdoor heater get turned on. The menu looked good so it was a difficult decision. I finally went with a green chili bacon cheese burger with brussel sprouts. The burger was delicious!!! The green chilies and crispy bacon went well with the hamburger meat. The brussel sprouts were seasoned and cooked perfectly. read more

3 of 4 meals came out cold, and server never came back to check on our food. Manager did give us a small discount, but never came by to see what the issue was. Server just gave the bill to us and said here youn are! We have been there many times with much better food & service. Most times I would give it 4 stars. read more

We waited for 30 minutes until we were acknowledged for our drinks, then it took 15 minutes just for a water and a sprite. We then left because who knows how long we would have to wait for our food. read more

It was so good! We ate here for all 3 meals we had in Apache Junction. The food was great! The blue cheese potato salad was amazing as were all of the smoked meats. The sides were so good and interesting it was hard to choose from them all. Highly recommend! read more

So happy we found this place! It's a real gem. Our waiter was a blast and really knew his stuff when it came to the craft beer options. The food was excellent, too. We sat outside to soak up some December sunshine. Definitely recommend checking it out! read more

Food, beers, and the service was excellent. We'll be stopping back again when we're in the area.

We ate at the Handlebar Pub and Grill in Apache Junction today for the first time. What a lovely place with the most amazing food and service. You may wait a bit for your food but it is so worth it! Check it out! read more

This is a nice neighborhood bar and grill with a huge outdoor area nicely complimented by the cozy indoor area. The service is super friendly! The food is pretty good with a few veg options mixed into many traditional meaty pub ones. They have a lengthy wine list, which I didn't expect, and of course, a good beer on tap selection. It's a great place for gatherings large or small, and it just has that happy, friendly local feel. read more

Really enjoyed this place. Came for drinks and then came back for food. Impressed so much by the amazing service and YUM to the food! Husband loved the brat with peppers and I had an amazing burger. You will not be disappointed. Live music every night. Come and check it out! read more

From the moment we walked to the restaurant, I knew our fate was sealed. I don't want to do this! The people were so nice! But oh my lord the food. Restaurant: Outdoor dining options in the Arizona winter are most welcome. The seating, however, was lawn furniture; some tables were propane fire pits with lids. Not exactly comfortable to eat off of. Smoking is allowed though. Menu: no fried food here, which is a good and bad thing. More on that later. Beer selection is good! Food: Its greasy spoon boomer food. I'm sorry, but that's what it is. My burger was soggy from the onions and the patty was done to hockey puck wellness despite my request for medium. The beans were..... kinda ok. Edible, but not spectacular. A meal fit for a boomer, the intended clientele based on the age group we sat among. I'm quite young at age 36, most people sat around us had at least 20 years on me. My girlfriend's tacos were also nothing to write home about, relying on the bell peppers for flavor. The potato skins weren't great. They need to be fried. Service: folks were nice! Our bar tender was super quick with drinks. The food was VERY slow getting to our table. Overall: Its a boomer restaurant. The food is stuck in their glory days when they were young. Its not for us young people. read more

Amazing service. Owners and staff are super fun. Great place to enjoy some live music and drink a beer!

Very surprised to see this place have as high ratings as it does. Good work on the business owner for addressing the comments online, but we were completely underwhelmed from start to finish. The appetizers were hardly edible and the sides we got with our main food were about the same. Also, paying over $100 to be served on plastic plates the whole time is a little ridiculous. Our server was not as friendly or attentive as I would have liked to see. The service was slow for no reason on top of that. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are stopping by from out of town. I am assuming this place is popular with locals who don't know better or don't have easier access to decent food/service. Maybe it's fun after a few drinks and with some live music, but an afternoon lunch for $100+ could have been spent elsewhere. read more

Friendly staff but food was not great. Wings were terrible. Tocos not good either. Good place to have a beer.

Live laid back music, great service & food. Beer? Oh yeah. 24 different kinds just on tap!

Food is great and eating outdoors is fantastic with great seating. A great place for a group of people. Service is always spot on and we love it. read more

Excellent beer selection here. I was in the area and really wanted ice cold beer. It's an old west style bar here and they do have nice selection of draft beer available. The one I had from local Arizona with coffee in it was really good. The second one with chocolate was good but not was good was coffee one. They serve typical bar food here and fish tacos I had was quite good. Most reviewed signature potato salad was good if you like potato salad. I liked the blue cheese in it. If you are in the area and want ice cold beer, look no further and try here! read more

First time trying this establishment....outcome "thumbs up all the way". Ambience is quaint and the option for indoor vs outdoor was a delight. When we arrived we were greeted by a very lovely hostess. Once seated the service was on point. Now for the food...yummy! We enjoyed every bite. He had the Porterhouse and I had the Mahi Mahi tacos. We plan to return for sure. read more

Our server was Denny and he was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Hamburgers were delicious and we all enjoyed our sides. We sat outside and listened to a couple with a guitar sing music. They were delightful and the music was at a comfortable level- we were able to hold a conversation while they played. Throughly enjoyed our server, the music and the food. We'll be back. Highly recommend this place for a casual dining experience. read more

Friday lunch had no wait at all for a table under the covered outdoor seating. The atmosphere is clean, fun & laid back. The outside temperature was cool so it was nice to have a heater on the table. There was a long wait for food which is clearly stated at the hostess stand. If you are hungry, order an appetizer. Menu selection was diverse. The grilled chicken salad was phenomenal. There was zero wilted lettuce and the right combination of toppings. The pepper stuffed with pulled pork was AMAZING! This restaurant may look like a dive bar from the outside but trust me, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy! read more

Great food, fun atmosphere , friendly staff, good food. Priced right, huge selection with a kids menu also. Enjoyed our time there!

Food is overpriced and taste worse than McDonalds The owners seem nice... Interior was very cramped We were 2/5 customers and still waited 35 minutes for a sandwich I could make at home read more

The company at the bar was pleasantly friendly. Thanks for the good conversation Sharrod! The burger (with corrections) was quite good. Constructive Feedback: "Bruschetta Burger" evokes an expectation of a burger actually served on bruschetta bread, yet it was on a plain bun. It was (originally) dressed inadequately with a tomato end piece and just one small leaf of basil. On request, they made up for it by bringing two more healthy slices of tomato, another good sized piece of mozzarella yet only one more small basil leaf with the insistence that the single basil leaf is their staunch policy with this burger!!! I recommend to avoid any further disappointment, you add at least two more leaves so that the flavour has a chance of remaining consistent through the whole burger. I appreciated that they have no fried foods & instead offer healthier choices like smashed potatoes! In my opinion, using fingerling potatoes gives a better crispier smashed potatoes result, regardless, the whole potatoes were delicious, even if not what I expected. read more

It's deceiving how big the patio is in the back of the restaurant, and it is majority outside. Food is homemade, no fryer, priced well and delicious. I am a vegetarian and had a grilled tofu with veggies was absolutely delicious. Very surprised. My mom had cheeseburger and they had multiple sides to choose from today's special was potato skins. Quite a delicious array of sides instead of the usual, french fries, coleslaw, cottage cheese. read more

We've been coming to Handlebar regularly for about 4 years now. We've tried almost every item on their menu and have never had a bad meal. All the food is quality, fresh and seasoned well. Their burgers are amazing and while they don't have french fries, their sides are way better than plain old fries. They smoke all of their meats and the flavor is fantastic. They keep a great rotating list of craft beer on draft and in cans plus a selection of ciders and wines. They have live music some evenings and their patio is large and comfortable with lots of evap coolers generating a cool breeze. Really the only criticism would be that occasionally during the busiest times service can get a bit slow, but that is actually rare and not unexpected. We love this place and take all of our visitors from out of town here. Highly recommended! read more
