We recently had our son's and new daughter's wedding at the Hamilton Manor and it truly was an AMAZING experience. Everything went seamlessly and my husband and I cannot say enough positive things about the staff especially Colleen. She was fantastic! Led us through the day with a smile at all times. We have been to many weddings over the years and are happy to say that we received only wonderful and positive compliments from our family and friends on the venue and the food. The venue was spectacular! The ceremony was held at the Gazebo and the Cocktail hour at the Barn. We have attended many weddings where the cocktail hour venue is so compact that you cannot move. There was a ton of space at the Barn and seating was available for all our 150 guests. The Ballroom was stunning! The food was delicious from the cocktail hour to dinner to dessert and the Venetian Table. Absolutely no complaints. It was a spectacular wedding experience! read more

My husband and I had the most AMAZING wedding experience here, and totally unbiased although it was our own wedding because every single thing went seamlessly! We have been in and went to so many weddings where things were off or went wrong but we only received wonderful and positive compliments from friends and family. Everyone was amazed at the venue and service, and mostly happy that everything was so spacious as there's many times you go to weddings and the cocktail hour is soooo cramped and people can barely stand in the room together and walk around. We had cocktail hour in the barn and it was just perfect. Everything was perfect, the food was delicious from cocktail hour to dinner to dessert. Timing went well, the ballroom was beautiful. Absolutely no complaints. We had a spectacular wedding experience! read more

Staff was absolutely incredible. The barn, ballroom and cocktail hour space were all beautiful and gave off different unique vibes throughout the night. The manor was unlike any other venue I have been too! read more

Very poor customer service!!! I had to place 3 phone calls to schedule a time to view the venue for my bridal shower. After 2 weeks of multiple attempts to schedule an appointment via phone calls and emails, the person on the phone, Andre, was rude to me. That was more than enough evidence for me to utilize a different venue for my special event. I wouldn't waste my time. read more

I attended a wedding here this past weekend and I felt terrible that the bride and groom had to endure such horrible service on their special day. There are too many things to say about how poor the experience was, but I'll keep it as short as possible. - The non alcoholic beverages came out of the cheapest tap they could find. Cranberry juice was excessively watered down and the sodas were FLAT! (Specifically during cocktail hour) - The staff seemed noticeably irritated to be working there. (specifically bar staff. I didn't see one person with a smile on their face) - The food felt mass produced and was mediocre at best. The menu was: Chicken Parm, Beef Tenderloin and two types of pasta. I don't eat meat, so I had the eggplant parm brought especially for me, which was decent, but my fiancé had the chicken and I could see it was soggy from the tomato sauce and just looked like cafeteria food. Tiramisu was provided as a desert and was still partially frozen! I will say the wedding cake was VERY tasty. (The only real treat on the menu) Some of the dishes were severely scratched and they tried to hide this by placing other plates on top of them. Can anyone say tacky?? - The worst part of the entire event was that there was an event taking place downstairs that had extremely loud music playing with strong base that interfered SEVERELY with the reception. The most traumatic part was while the maid of honor and best man were trying to give a toast to the couple and the minister wanted to say a prayer our glasses were LITERALLY shaking from the noise in the room downstairs. There was no subtlety to it. The excessively loud music felt as though it was in our very room. This lasted for at least an hour of the reception until the party downstairs exited the building. All of the guests were affected and I can only imagine how humiliating it must have been for the bride and groom. This place seemed pretty and new, however it oozed over-priced wedding factory. I'm hoping this place makes some dramatic changes to it's service. Otherwise, I'm really hoping no one I know chooses this place as a wedding venue in the near future. Apologies this review is so negative, but it was just my experience at ONE event at this facility. It may have just been a bad day for them. Hoping so read more

Why pay thousands of dollars to be treated like shit by the owners? I've never felt so disrespected in my life, my family recently had a sweet 16 & the management was awful, they didn't know how to speak to their guest at all in a professional manner acting ignorant & rude as hell constantly nagging the guests pestering them over the smallest things. I was very disappointed in the way the Hamilton manners owners conducted themselves, never again. Wasn't worth the money or the headache. Find a better place for your party or wedding. read more

I recently attended a party here and felt terrible for the host and hostess. The staff here is the worst I've ever seen. The attitude they threw around was as bad as it can get and to think that it's as expensive as it is and the management isn't even bothered to handle the staff situation. I would never recommend it to anyone. read more

This place has the potential to be very good. Great location, nice atmosphere, good space, but needs some tweeking on service and attitude.

Let me be clear, my 3 stars is for the sales/customer satisfaction which is lacking. The venue is beautiful, of course, but the "2nd to none" attitude is going to their heads. I had my mother put down a small deposit to hold a wedding date because I was still searching. Living in California, planning a NJ wedding isn't easy and yes they did give us a break on the deposit because they're not total thieves. Unfortunately I did decided on another venue, smaller and more intimate. After some thought they offered to use half the deposit toward my bridal shower if I booked there. Not to mention that a major reason why I chose another place is because HM would open their Cellar doors to the public the night of our wedding, and not allow us use of the terrace...until after I opted out they put those offers on the table to win back my business but it was too late my mind was made up. After confirming a date for the bridal shower, first finding out if they had it available (which they did) we started making plans accordingly. It came down to the wire and my family was organizing everything for me only to find out HM had gone against their word and released the date! They said they "never heard back" from my parents. If that's the way you do business, then I should have scrapped them a long time ago for not "getting back to me". My parents had to scramble and find another place to host my shower. Luckily I have family that works for Paris Caterers and they hosted a beautiful day for us. I'm so glad I decided not to book HM. Regardless of aesthetics, Andre was a little pushy for my taste. I felt like I had to be on my high alert for sales tactics and a bride shouldn't have to deal with that kind of stress. They do run a beautiful venue, they need a little work on their customer service though. read more

I attended an event over the weekend at the Manor and I was honestly amazed. The food was fabulous, the servers were professional as well as knowledgeable. At the end of our party we were offered a tour which we of course took. I didn't realize how versatile the various rooms available could be, the attention to detail was unbelievable. I must say, the next party I have will be at The Hamilton Manor, no doubt. read more

We attempted to have Mother's Day Brunch at The Hamilton Manor for the second year in a row... unfortunately it was a complete disaster. I called in advance and made a reservation for 3 adults and 2 highchairs for my children. We had a 10:30 reservation - first of the day. When we arrived we were politely greeted by a hostess who told us that our reservation was listed for only 3 adults, no children and obviously no highchairs. Apparently they only had 4 highchairs in the entire establishment, and all were "already being used" for the other 10 people in the entire banquet room. She then goes to find a "beast-like" woman who claims she is the owner of The Hamilton Manor - which I find hard to believe for 2 reasons: 1) she had the class and grace of trucker who was kicked out of a trailer park and 2) she had no respect for patrons of "her establishment".... see below. This woman then proceeded to tell me that I should "check the reservation book" and I too would see that the reservation does not note any children/high chairs... I explained that this would only prove the incompetence of her staff because anyone with children know how important requesting a high chair is - especially on a day when it is known they are in high demand - such as Mother's Day. She asks us to wait as she searches for a 5th "invisible" highchair and after 20 minutes returns with a booster seat and suggests that my 1 year old sits in that for brunch. I ask her if she has any children, she replies "no", which is obvious because anyone that has a child, know that a booster seat is inappropriate, not to mention dangerous for a 1 year old to sit in/fall out of. She offered no apologies, no compensation, and was just plain rude throughout the whole ordeal. If this is the way the Hamilton Manor treats families, I would hate to start my life with a wedding there, only to return in the future years for a brunch with my children and be treated so poorly. Also, I wouldn't risk obnoxious service on a night out to The Celler with my husband. Nor would I plan any other social events or celebrations such as showers, Christenings, etc. at this location. We have planned and hosted many parties at local high-end Hamilton establishments and all have been able to accommodate 20+ highchairs when needed. The Hamilton Manor really needs to get their act together and hope that someone "buys out" the terrible witch-like owner that assisted us this morning. read more

I recently attended my best friend's bridal shower held in the Oak Room here and simply put - it had an elegant ambiance! Attended my high school reunion here. Great, fun and clean venue. Food was great and the presentation was beautiful.

As a DJ that has performed in the Hamilton Manor Ballroom, the Cellar and the Trellis, I can say that this is one of the premier venues in New Jersey. The staff is excellent (very attentive and helpful, not only to me but to their clients). The Food is always top notch. The uplighting in the ballroom always looks amazing and the premises is clean. I highly recommend The Hamilton Manor. read more

What a beautiful venue ! The owners joe and Andre are a real class act. This place is stunning it completely meets every expectation!

The wedding I attended here was lovely and I felt they did a very nice job. My complaint is with the nightclub they run downstairs called "The Cellar". The wedding guests had cocktails and hor d'oeuvres there between the ceremony and the reception while the wedding party took pictures. Apparently, after they move the group on to the reception, they open the cellar up to the general public. After the reception was over, while the guests, who mainly were from PA (or myself and my mom, visiting from the West Coast) were waiting for the shuttle back to our hotel, it was suggested to us by the staff to wait back down at the cellar. On our way in, I was carded by the bouncer. I was 31 at the time and look like it, but the bouncer still asked to check my id. Once entering the bar, I went to the same table we had been seated at earlier, just to make sure I got my id back into the correct slot in my handbag, since as I mentioned before, I was from out of state and would need my license to get on a plane. While momentarily using the table, I was attacked by some girl, who proceeded to knock me to the floor and beat my head into the concrete. I should mention I was also pregnant at the time. When my mother (in her 60's) tried to pull this girl off of me, her friend attacked my mother. The bouncers reacted quickly, thank goodness, but instead of detaining the women to make sure we were okay (not stabbed or concussed or I don't know, WANTING TO PRESS CHARGES, they threw these two out. We did call the police but they said without the names of these women, there was little we could do. It is a shame that they value a couple cheap drinks in the Cellar more than a great experience for a wedding that I know was quite expensive. read more

My company held a banquet for the employees and it was not a pleasant experience... we provided them with feedback and they didn't even respond! -One of our guests wanted to switch from the fish to the fillet, but was told they were not allowed, even after the staff was notified that another guest, who had ordered the fillet was unable to attend. This slight was further compounded by the fact the meal was already ordered & paid for - it would have been zero effort on their part to make the switch. -As soon as the soup came out from the kitchen it was apparent the soup was burnt and this was confirmed by a small tasting of the soup. -There was not a basket of bread on the table - only 1 roll per person, and no butter. -Several guests commented the fish looked and tasted undercooked. -The appetizers were mini meatballs, pork spring rolls, shrimp tempura and tomato/bean brushetta. Unfortunately, we only saw 1 tray of meatballs & 1 tray of shrimp come out between 6:00 to 6:15 and neither after that until it was mentioned to the staff, and only then 1 other tray of meatballs came out. Some cocktail hour... -The bar opened at exactly 6:00pm and closed at exactly 10pm even though there were still a few people in line. -The facility has a great sound/light system, however; it was unfortunate that we had to wait for lighting/music/volume etc because the only "control" was being utilized elsewhere. -Gee, we all things were added, it was $120pp - for that??? We won't be back! read more

Had my daughter's "Quince" Venue was beautiful and but the SERVICE was horrible. Servers had attitude and the owner.....will/would not use them again. We tried them again just for "Mother's Brunch" and will say that the food was delicious/great. Again the service was horrible our waitress/server only came once to the table for coffee and drinks. We had to end up getting up and going to get our own drinks. read more

My wife and I were fortunate enough to go to a wedding reception here recently. The facilities and grounds are beautiful, it really was a lovely venue for a wedding. The food was excellent, they had a lovely cocktail hour with awesome appetizers and food stations. For my entree I had the filet mignon. Very good quality all around. Lastly, the Venetian (dessert) hour was stellar, with awesome Italian pastries, cannoli, and other creative options that created a memorable evening for all. I highly recommend Hamilton Manor. read more

I had my wedding and reception here July of this summer. Melissa was awesome to work with and extremely professional and accommodating from the wedding planning process to the actual wedding day. I was able to plan this this wedding from California since Melissa always made herself available through phone or email. I didn't have to worry about so many of the little details because Melissa and her staff took care of the things a bride shouldn't have to stress about. From the table arrangement to table numbers, to the bows on the chairs, to where the cake should be placed. Everything came out beautiful, everything looked as I wanted it to look! At first glance, my husband and I did not even try to consider the Hamilton Manor because considering how beautiful the venue was, we just figured it would be way out of our price-range. But luckily we gave it a second look after a recommendation from a friend. We saw that the menu options actually had dinner options that weren't going to break the bank for us. I was really pleased with the fact that management didn't try to rack up our expenditures further, but rather gave us a variety of options that we could choose from that suited our needs. Even for small tips Melissa gave leading up to the wedding, it just showed she was always rooting for us, and her intent was always to make it as successful as possible (not just make the most profit they can as a business). My husband and I had paid entirely for the wedding ourself, so in these cases it's just extra nice to work with someone who you can trust and someone who sincerely cares to make it special. read more

My wedding was here, and while it was truly a special day, this venue was a HUGE disappointment for the way my guests were treated. Upon arrival into cocktail hour, my guest we're scoffed at being told cocktail hour isn't ready yet by the owner. A few guest approached me after the wedding and explained they thought it was so rude how they were spoken to. What a way to start your wedding. Then the hall told me they would ask guests what they would like for dinner even though pre determined food counts were required. The night of our wedding, waiters walked around only offering fish or beef to certain tables even though we had three other options. Some guests weren't able to get what they requested, after we specifically recommended pork to our guests. Close family told me the next day the waiters were rude about this and even said oh no you can't get the pork there's only one at this table, even though we were told guests can change their mind and there is room for error. I paid a fee per plate so my guests could eat what they want and this wasn't the case, not sure how they could get away with this. Last, we wanted to have our after party in the barn and when elderly people tried to get in without ID, including my 45 year old sister and 78 year old aunt, they weren't allowed. The bouncers were extremely rude to them. The owners kept explaining this was policy, which I would understand if my younger cousins who were pretty girls didn't just get in without ID. After the wedding, we reached out to a few people from the hall and they could truly care less I guess because they already had our money. The owners aren't nice people and this place might be pretty on the outside, but they're ugly on the inside. I'm so upset that I have to even write this review because this hall was once our favorite vendor but the truth needs to come out read more

I attended a banquet and was unhappy with the service. The servers were cleaning, completely clearing our table of everything, including water glasses, you were in the middle of drinking. They would walk by and take the glass without question. When I asked the server if I could have my water back he said "No, your party's over." Apparently we went over our time and they were trying to force us out. My daughter (who was not sitting with me) said the same thing happened to her. She wondered (as a nine year old) why the server didn't tell her they were sorry they had to clean up now since the party is over prior to taking her glass she was still drinking. Very rude service. read more

I would NEVER go back to this venue. They were extremely disrespectful to the bridal party and guests. The bartenders service was HORRIFIC not only physically but verbally as well. For instance, they said that one of the girls was "not cute enough to serve" and further said how one of the gentleman was "to dorky" to serve. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I wish I could say this was made up but this is the honest truth. Their staff went out of their way to disrespect their guests. Long story short, this place deserves NO customers and I would NOT recommend a wedding/ any event here to anyone !!!!!!!!!! read more

I just had a wedding here in May and it was just gorgeous. The price was great and the place looks much more expensive then it is. We had our ceremony outside at the gazebo and it was amazing. The photos came out lovely. I would highly recommend this place to one picky bride to another. Food is excellent and my guest raved about this place and by the end of the night they didn't want to leave. I can't leave 5 stars because a couple minor details was not enforced and like I said I am picky. Either way when it came time, it didn't matter and I had a great time. read more

My fiance and I thought that we found the wedding venue of our dreams... until we walked into the Hamilton Manor. We were driving by on a Sunday afternoon, and decided to take a stop in to check it out. We had basically decided on our venue, but the building was so pretty from the outside, and it was so close to our ceremony location, we figured it was worth a look... From the moment we walk through the doors, we were hooked! Simple, yet extremely elegant. Although we did not have an appointment, and they were setting up for a afternoon wedding, they made time to make us feel important and show us around. The ballroom was beautiful, there was an indoor area to have a ceremony if it rained, and the outside Trellis was a must for Kevin for our cocktail hour. We took the wedding information, thinking we would never be able to afford a place like this and thanked them for their time. After meeting with Erin and Andre we were sure that we were going to have our wedding here! Andre worked with us to come up with a menu that worked for our budget, and made us feel very comfortable. We could not wait for our wedding! Unfortunately, the outdoor venue for our wedding on April 11th was booked, and the only date they had left in 2015 was May 9th, and the Hamilton Manor was already booked. We were heartbroken. While our journey continues to find a place comparable in price, elegance and family-like atmosphere, I definitely recommend you do not fall into the same dilemma, Erin and Andre we will see you soon for another event! Thank you for everything! Kim and Kevin read more

Hosted a sweet 16 party at the Manor, and have positive and wonderful comments to make here. The event itself with 150+ people went off flawlessly; the food and service for the evening were beyond impressive. The staff was amazing all night long! Chicken and fish entrees along with roasted potatoes, led off by a salad and delicious vodka rigatoni was prepared flawlessly and tasted great for the adults in attendance. The 16ers feasted on sliders ,chicken, vodka rigatoni , hot dogs and fries , capped off by a chocolate fountain and left little behind. Attention to every detail was the hallmark of the evening as Andre and Meghan ran things perfectly. Planning the event was a pleasure as well as Andre made sure our requests were taken care of and worked with us every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about the Hamilton Manor! Last May, Memorial Day, I had my wedding at the Hamilton Manor. My wedding was picture perfect. I had NOTHING to worry about every detail was taken care of. I am an absolute control freak and with Erin and Andre helping me out with everything I was so relaxed the day of my wedding. People are still talking about the wedding even a year later. Actually it started before the wedding, even in the planning process I was having so much fun working with them. Erin and Andre didn't add any stress to the process at all. Whenever I wanted to see the place I was more than welcome to come over and talk to them. If I was concerned about them I could email them or call them. They worked everything out to make things perfect for me. So the big day came and I walked in and saw the ballroom. I was so amazed how they had it decorated. It was all done without me worrying. My cocktail hour was held in the Cellar Lounge and was beautifully decorated. The food was wonderful for dinner and I loved my ice cream buffet. I also arranged for after the wedding to have an "after party." Andre helped me set everything up to have a dueling piano show. When the wedding was finished everything was set up in the basement again without me worrying. Everything that day was flawless. I highly recommend getting married here. More recently, on Sunday May 20th I had a Master's Graduation Party for my husband. Andre worked everything out with me and the party was amazing. I had it in the Revere Grill Restaurant. Even though there was another event going on you would have thought we were the most important people there. They definitely make you feel like your event is the most important! The food was amazing and the bar severed great drinks! Another great part was the Sangria that was made!!! I actually arrived late and the servers actually came out to help me! I was so surprised to see them. They were so helpful as well as polite. I would have another event there in a heartbeat. So aside from all the events, I go there for dinner. I LOVE the atmosphere of the Revere Grill (one of the reasons I chose it for the grad party). I love how you can sit and have a conversation and no one rushes you. You don't feel like you have to inhale the food and get out because you're not wanted. You can sit and relax without feeling pressured. The wait staff is super friendly and if you're like me and want to change the order they are so flexible!!! Again I cannot say enough good things about the Hamilton Manor and the staff that is there. I would have another event there as soon as I can think of one to have. I'm going to start planning a retirement party there soon as well as my birthday party. Love working with them!!! read more

I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I've been here for a couple of events including free events and the food was excellent with a large portions. The only negative experience I had was an encounter with the owner's wife. I asked about tickets for an upcoming event and all she dourly told me was they weren't available. Oh, really? When will they be? We don't have any tickets. No offer as to when or anything. Well, I was done after that. The owner, however, is very nice and friendly. In the summer they open a bar outdoors for Happy Hour and offer specials. It's a very pleasant way to stop off before heading home. The Wait staff have always been extremely nice and kind and helpful to me and my husband. You should try them out on a Friday night. They have a really nice venue, with a nice mix of old and young. We've been there for free buffets with really well-prepared food. The bread is absolutely scrumptious. We've been there for the annual Jazz event, which is free with several restaurants participating. The first one was really nice with several Italian booths, a chocolate booth, Japanese food booth, etc. We also went there for Thanksgiving party and the place was jammed. They have a steak night and a sizzling lobster night on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There's a restaurant and bar upstairs and one downstairs. They also have a Sinatra night every now and then and a buy one get one free entree night. Sign up for emails and they'll send you notices of upcoming events. read more

I recently went to a wedding reception here. I cannot recommend it to anyone. The appetizers were good, but not great. They began cleaning up the area before we had gone upstairs for the dinner. So unprofessional. The salad was wilted and if there was any dressing on it I couldn't find it. We waited over an hour and a half for the entrees to be served. The food was tepid and the steak was overcooked. I don't even know what the sauce was because it was tasteless. The vegetables were cold and unappealing. My husband had the fish and it was smelly and dry. He later got sick. The music was so loud that the tables vibrated. Then they turned on colored strobe lights. By 10 o'clock, the cake had not been cut or dessert served. We both had terrible headaches so we left. Do not waste your money on this venue. read more
