Our family stopped on our way out from vacation, found this spot on our way in Waze. Rainy day so no waiting, plus they brought our food to our car. Burgers, tenders and fries were all very good and generous portions. This place hit the spot as I was craving BurgerFi. Will check it out next year for a great quick service place. read more

Hamburgers & their special sauce isn't worthy of my palette, however their fries as good if not better than Pier Fries.

This is one of my favorite places to got after work with my boyfriend. We go so often we are even greeted with our names. Staff is always pleasant and great to catch up with. If you're going here I highly recommend grabbing a double cheeseburger but my boyfriend will tell you to get a single with bacon! I find their shakes pricey but way worth it which is why I only get them occassionally. I bring friends and family from out of state here and I've never gotten any complaints plus it's such a short walk away! They have something for everyone here and they are always bringing something new to the menu like onion rings! read more

Drove by while visiting OOB and thought the place looked interesting so we stopped to try the burger after having fish and lobster everyday. What a great find as the burger was one of the best we have had in a while and the fresh cut fries were outstanding. I've lived in Biddeford for a couple years now and always was curious to try this place! Went just over the weekend and I should have stopped by sooner! Had a cheeseburger with the special sauce and fries! Very yummy! I would like to try more on the menu, especially the shakes! This will be my new go-to hamburger place. Excellent. I'm spoiled with burger joints at home, but while on vacation here we were tipped off on this place. I got the double with special sauce. It was exceptional. Bun was seared. Fresh burger made in house. Not a frozen Pattie. That classic American cheese dripping off the burger. I added the special sauce. I returned for a single with lettuce. It was good, but I won't be getting the lettuce again. The positive fries were something new and different. The best addition to the meal was the classic American milk shake. It was gone before I started on the meal. I ordered a root beer in a glass bottle to finish off the meal. I forgot to say that the staff was very Friendly! Your now asking; would I go back? The Hamburger Stand is awesome for what it is. It's a place to buy inexpensive burgers, dogs, fries, and shakes. It's outdoors only: You wait in line, order at the window, and pick up your really tasty food when they call your name. A single burger is like $2 and cheese is an extra ten cents. As the weather gets cooler, I think people will get the food to go or eat in their cars. The Hamburger Stand isn't a restaurant, there's no indoors, no table service, and I don't know if there's even a bathroom. It's more like a big food truck without wheels and it might not be the best choice for a first date. I don't think they serve alcohol. But for good, cheap, simple food, you can't go wrong at the Hamburger Stand. read more

Great local spot! Very fairly priced for the quality! If you're in the area, there really is no reason to go anywhere else for a burger (whether it be fast food or a gourmet burger competitor). Solid burgers for fast food and excellent fries. Parking sucks in fact downtown Biddeford is a Cluster-F to be sure...but I would frequent this place if I lived nearby. The guy who took my order was friendly, albeit a little slow...maybe we weren't speaking the same language because it was my first time there and their POS machine dates back the invention of breakdancing. My friend and I went there based upon a recommendation. We were both very glad we went there. We both ordered burgers... delicious. We both ordered French fries... BEYOND delicious. As good as Old Orchard Beach "Pier Fries". Perhaps even better! There is no parking but there are several business OUT of business nearby and their parking lots are available. Fries are delicious and taste so fresh! Burgers and dogs are far above fast food quality and absolutely delicious and for a cheaper price than fast food. Huge variety of toppings to customize all orders is also a huge plus! Shakes are great, root beer floats with Barq's are great! Great for take out or or dine outside. read more

I'm going to have to stay at 2 stars, I asked for a medium rare burger she replied they couldn't do that and I was content with it. I said it's fine a regular burger will do but please don't over cook it, I got a charcoaled burger with a red hot dog that was also black on the top of it.. other people have obviously had better luck then me their so maybe I just went on a bad day but as of right now I don't have plans for an immediate return. Went here for the 1st time this year. 1st hot day of the summer. Service was good food was ok. My burger tasted funky. I don't know if it was the pickles or the lettuce but they tasted almost expired. The other thing that bothered me was they had their ketchup bottles sitting in the hot sun. This is our 3rd visit and our last. Yes they have handcut fries and onion rings but they are so over-fried they tasted like cardboard, Our last two visits the fries were slightly overdone but still not too bad, Tonight we couldn't even eat the onion rings they were almost burnt. I'm not sure what oil they are using but it leaves an aftertaste. The burgers are still fine (not great) but at least they taste like burgers. My husband and I stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat while we're were out on a mini vacation. You can customize the burger with lots of toppings and the burger was very tasty and has lots of flavor. I'm also glad they had more than just American cheese. We both got cheddar. We only paid about 15 for 2 double cheese burgers, and a huge thing of fries. Worth ever penny! The fries were tasty, their special sauce was ok. We made a random stop looking for a quick bite on a road trip through Maine. The burgers are amazing!!! They are similar to Shake Shack, but better--my family of five all agreed. Had a box of fries a month ago for the first time and the box was filled so much I could not close the box . I thought it was great, just like the pier fries. Went back today and the box was filled just barely to the top and could close the box with no problem. I was so upset, will be awhile before I go back. read more
