Double cheese please
Kerry H.

Covid rules applied. The directions are clear, wear your mask, stay 6' apart and have a seat at the sterilized picnic table. Well done! The food is great. Crinkle cut fries that bring you back to childhood. A lobster roll so fresh and chocked full of meat! And the double cheeseburger that needed several napkins to wipe down your hands and face! Friendly service and worth the stop! Plenty of on street parking too.

The kids really enjoyed there food. 2 got cheese burgers and the third enjoyed a hotdogs. My burger wasn't to bad. The only issue I had was I couldn't taste any seasoning or spices in the meat. I really like the bun on the burger. The fries were super good as well. It's cool how they give you salt so you can season them as much as you want. We will be going back....

Man there is nothing like a classic, thin patty, on the griddle hamburger with hand cut or crinkle cut fries. The Hamburger stand delivers on both, as well as locally made hot dogs and a variety of thick, creamy milkshakes. And while the burger is delicious, the star of the show is the HAND CUT CRINKLE FRIES. I mean come on now, that's not even fair to all the other fries out there. I would consider this place the Harmon's of York county, with a little extra pizazz and oh ya...poutine. Do NOT skip the poutine! My one critique- I don't know if they use a lean kind of ground beef, but I actually felt like my burger could have used just a touch of grease/juice. That being said, everything was delicious!

Consistent Quality, Excellent Service. What more can I say. Every visit delivers an awesome burger and the fries are perfect. You dont need to be fancy to deliver quality products. My usual burger and a side of fries today and every time it is spot on. Definitely my favorite burger joint around. Skip the drive-thrus and the chain places. If you want a great burger, this is the place.

What a great place for lunch. Was driving bye and saw this place that we never seen before so we stopped and glad we did. This is an old service station turned into a what I would call a hamburger joint. It's walk up service and out door seating. The ordering was made easy with friendly staff and the burgers are very good. Also, when I attempted to pay the cashier noticed I was Military and stopped the transaction. She said that she had to void my order and ring it up again because they give Military discount to all Active and Retired. We found a great place for burgers will definitely be back.

I had very high expectations for this place. Super high, probably too high if we're being honest. Something about small, hole in the wall burger stands really sets the bar high for me. Like Harmon's Lunch, or any numerous Dairy Bars up in the County, I just expect charbroiled, tasty, cheap, perfection. And, well, it was close-ish. Now, I came here as part of the Best Burgers Portland, and my son and myself were excited. Painted picnic tables, milkshakes, fries by the pint, and the classic red and white boxes?!? My mouth was watering as we pulled up. We entered, ordered two double cheeseburgers loaded, a pint of fries and two sodas. (Excited to try their milkshakes soon!) Headed outside, grabbed a nice clean picnic table with a view, and waited. It didn't take long, maybe 7 minutes of idle chatter before my name was slaughtered (always happens). Grabbed the food and back to the table. The burgers were in the classic box, fries in a bag. It was like Christmas morning, couldn't wait to open the box and see the glory inside! First reaction, like Harmon's, they are small. Though more expensive than Harmon's. I easily could have eaten a second burger, as could my 14 year old son, though the fries helped bridge that void. Speaking of the fries, star of the show!! Crinkle cut, crispy, salty, delicious. Though they only give you four packets of ketchup, so be sure to ask for extra!! Made me regret not ordering the ominous sounding 'box of fries'. Seriously, the fries are heaven. Now, the burgers. We had split reviews here. My son said it's his favorite of the Best Burgers we have tried, while I ranked it solidly in third behind PoBoys and RiRà. My burger was good, but, something I never thought I'd say, there was way too much pepper. And for a guy that puts roughly a quarter cup of pepper on everything, including cereal (kidding), that's saying something. I couldn't taste the meat, just pepper. The bun was soft, the veggies and condiments balanced, but the pepper kinda ruined it for me. Now, because I do love pepper, I didn't hate it, just wished I could have tasted the meat more, you know? That being said, my son couldn't taste pepper in his at all. So maybe the cook just went a little overboard on mine in the lunch rush? Who knows. Will I try again, for sure. I love me a good burger, and I love a good burger at picnic tables, inches from a busy road. The danger adds something. So, I will be back, to try another burger, to have way more fries, and try one of their milkshakes. And in case you're wondering why 4 stars if I wasn't a fan of the burger, the fries alone are nearly worth 5 stars in my mind, they're that good. Just greasy, crunchy, salty heaven. Divine.

Burger and poutine

Amazing food and people! All employees were very friendly and the burger/poutine was delicious! We were driving from Philadelphia to bar harbor and decided to check it out since it had great reviews. Highly recommend if you're driving through the area to stop by and try it!

I always pass this place while driving downtown Biddeford, and finally stopped for dinner. I got a single burger and a box of fries with special sauce. It for sure is special. I will for sure be back. They had cute seating outside, but I headed home to share my fries with the family. I'll be back for more :) maybe a double next time?

Hamburgers & their special sauce isn't worthy of my palette, however their fries as good if not better than Pier Fries.

If you're looking for one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in Biddeford, Maine, you absolutely…read moreneed to check out Palace Diner! This iconic little diner is set up inside a vintage trailer/box car style building right in the heart of downtown Biddeford. Seating is limited to about a dozen people at a time, so be prepared to wait -- but trust me, it's worth it. After my fiancée watched an episode of Somebody Feed Phil featuring the diner, we were on a mission to try their famous chicken sandwich. The sandwich absolutely lived up to the hype! It's huge, packed with flavor, and served with a fresh lettuce wedge salad on the side. The chicken had the perfect crispy exterior while staying juicy and delicious inside. We could only eat half and happily brought the rest home. Luckily, it was a beautiful Maine day and we didn't have to wait long for a seat. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and added to the fantastic overall vibe of the diner. One thing to know before you go -- the diner is cash only, but there's an ATM conveniently located right outside. If you love hidden gems, amazing comfort food, and unique local dining experiences, Palace Diner is definitely a must-visit spot in southern Maine. Highly recommended and absolutely worth the trip back!

I cannot even remember what I got but I remember thinking it was a waste of $. As for the ambiance-it's a fiber with a counter & stools (no tables), it was uncomfortable & freezing inside. Decided to give them a try for lunch, I have read so much about how amazing their fried chicken sandwich is, so I entered that online and see the sandwich is $22...to get fries with that it is another $8.50...ok, I think it's my birthday & my husband and I can split it all so that's only about $15 a piece. Go to put order in and there is an AUTOMATIC 22% gratuity added that cannot be changed or removed. Let me get this straight-ya'll are charging $30.50 for a chicken sandwich and fries (nothing special-no antibiotic free range chicken, probably saline packed chicken from China ‍) AND you think it's ok to tack on 22% tip for LUNCH TAKE OUT???? Sooooo that's $40.56 for a chicken sandwich and fries, tax + tip. ‍ Yeah, no. I would not eat here if they were the last restaurant on earth. I love supporting local, but how greedy can you be?
