Food was not that great. The truck uptown is better. My husband got the sandwich and the bread was stale and hard. I got the platter and the pita that came with it wasn't good either. Stale and hard. They charge for everything. How is a small packet of sauce almost a dollar... meat (chicken and beef gyro was stale too.. definitely old). Cashier was rude and very slow. I remember falling in love with Halal Guys when I stood in a long line in New York at the OG food truck. I was so excited to find out they have stores in different cities so that you can experience that authentic flavor. I visited this location as it just opened recently. The food was fresh and you get a pretty generous size portion. It's doesn't taste exactly the way I remember, but I will probably try it again since I only had the falafel platter and not the chicken. I have tried the truck before which was way more authentic and hot. We order in the store and it came to 43$! I got the beef gyro with the regular toppings and added onions. My bread was not warm or toasted. The meat was under temp and seem like it's been sitting out. There was more onions than meat ! I have asked for hot sauce on the side. I didn't receive it on the side or on my Sandwhich. If it was organized I would have received it. Hopefully in due time this will get better but I was not impressed at all. So The Halal Guys just opened up. My fiancée and I were waiting for this place to open for months. We got chicken pita sandwiches, fries, hummus, baklava, and some extra white sauce. Overall it cost about $57 for this, and extra sauces cost an extra $2 each. First off, our sandwiches didn't have lettuce and tomatoes like they should have so had to get the those remade. They also didn't initially include the hummus and pita bread we ordered. The sandwich itself tasted bad. The white sauce is excessively doused on it and tastes super bland. The chicken has a strange dryness, non seasoned flavor, and is generally grey in coloration. The pita bread itself(both sandwich and bread for the hummus) was like hardened. It's like it was either over microwaved or just stale. The fries were mid. The hummus almost had no taste. The baklava was similar to something I could get at a grocery store prepackaged. The service was also just standoffish when it came to helping out my initial issues with my order. Overall this place is awful. I feel terrible after eating this food and even worse for spending that much money on it. They need to figure out the online orders. Set a pick up time as 8 PM at 7 PM and didn't receive food until 8:45. When asked staff they continued to say "we didn't receive ticket" after showing proof of order and pick up time and offered no updates or did not offer to remedy the wait time. read more

I go out of my way to write positive reviews about companies and restaurants. I have nothing good to say about the Halal Guys. I would give zero stars if possible. There are many people working but no one is communicating with each other and there is no process in place which results in customers standing around waiting a ridiculous amount of time to order or to receive their order. By the time our whole order was provided to us, the first items were stone cold from waiting so long. The food is flavorless and forgettable. The cheesecake was handed to us completely frozen solid. This place is the like the Bad Burger King of Halal places. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.
