The employee sounded annoyed and rude even though I was going to praise them for their YouTube channel. I will not visit this facility nor buy anything from them. Carter's Country, this is NOT a good first time impression. I didn't even walk through the door. In addition, this is not how you win people over for Second Amendment advocacy. Gun ranges like yours give the 2A community a bad look. I'm VERY disappointed. Terrible customer service.

You have to pay for each gun that you bring... what If you brought 5 of their pistols in a range bag? Well, at Carter's Country you will pay $90+ tax just to shoot them! Another negative is that the range officers stare you down like a HAWK. It's their job to keep the range safe, but are they are not friendly. You will wind up chatting and laughing with your buddies during the cease fire only to turn and see an RSO staring you down with a stern look on their face. You have to walk around with rifles and shotguns out of the case. Which I find pretty dumb, too. Other than that, what can I say? I like to shoot guns. I was able to shoot and had a decent enough time thanks to my friends.

The staff has always been super friendly, and one of the staff members is a retired Army veteran who was incredibly kind and honestly looked way too young to be retired As a retired Air Force veteran myself (and my son being a Citadel graduate), we appreciate places that feel welcoming, safe, and respectful. Shiloh has always had that kind of atmosphere for us. They also have separate areas depending on what you're shooting, including a rifle-only section, which is nice. Overall, we've always had a great experience here.

I arrived at 7:29 PM, before closing, only to be told I would have to come back the next day because they had already closed out their last register. The person I spoke with on the phone never mentioned anything about needing to arrive 30 minutes early or at a specific cutoff time. The conversation made it sound more like "I'll see you when you get here," so I had no reason to believe there would be an issue as long as I arrived before closing. That was extremely disappointing. If the store was no longer serving customers, the doors should have been locked or the gate should have already been down. Instead, I was allowed to come in only to be turned away. This was a poor customer service experience. I understand that closing procedures have to be completed, but customers who arrive before closing should not be refused service without clear communication. I left very disappointed with both the treatment I received and the overall level of customer service.
