Cary said they guarantee their work for 10 years. He came on time on the scheduled date - (the only positive comment here...that's the 1 star is for). However, after he finished the job I noticed that the old grout was not removed, the walls of the shower was NOT done at all, there were apparently large parts of the tiles just left with the old grout, and No sealant was put (contrary to what he said over the phone)! When I asked why? He said the quote given is not for such a job (really???) He charged me $325 in CASH - which I paid, and literally after a week or so after my tenant started to use the shower, guess what: whatever materials/color he used started to crack & come out, leaving the shower tiles worse than it was before (SEE PICS below). When I called/texted him (more than 4 times over the course of 2 weeks) he never returned my calls/emails.... I asked for either the job RE-DONE or a refund be issued. NO response whatsoever to date. I venomed the deposit the previous evening to Luis and texted him the next day at 7am to let him know that the basement door was unlocked so that the cleaners can come through the back entrance. At 8:45a the cleaners still hadn't showed up so I texted Luis back asking where they were. At 9:15a I gave Luis a call and left a voicemail. At that point, I'm thinking maybe I got scammed so I texted my friend who had originally referred me to Luis, to see if this is normal for this person. At approximately 12:45p (almost six hours from my first text in the morning), Luis finally calls me back and gives me an attitude and tells me that he didn't appreciate that I had contacted my friend earlier to ask about him and because we paid the deposit so late the previous night (we paid him at 11:30p) he didn't schedule his staff for the day and that he doesn't want my business and abruptly hangs up on me. Luis did pay the deposit back right way; however, his rude phone call was highly unprofessional. I should note that I informed him the previous day of the cleaning that because I was running around the city that the deposit wouldn't be paid until later in the evening when I got home. And I do understand that there may have been a mix up, and that is ok. Had he responded back to me in a timely manner that day to explain the situation, we could have rescheduled, with no problem at all.
