My cat was previously feral, and this was only the second time in her life being placed in a carrier. As you can imagine, this was a very stressful and emotional experience for both of us. I was hoping for a calm and supportive environment. Unfortunately, the receptionist on the feline side (dark hair and glasses) made a comment about my cat being overdue for vaccines in a tone that felt judgmental rather than helpful. It added unnecessary stress in an already difficult moment. Additionally, when it was time to check out, there was no one available on the feline side, and I had to go to the canine area. This exposed my already anxious cat to barking dogs, making the situation even more overwhelming. I understand clinics get busy, but compassion and communication matter--especially when dealing with frightened animals and concerned pet owners.
