    If you are looking for a full service pet salon to treat your dog to the finest grooming service, this is the place. We took our two corgis to Tierney and she did such a wonderful job. They were overdue for a groom and she did not disappoint. She used de-shedding shampoo and hand-trimmed their undercarriages, as well as trimming their nails, cleaning their ears and brushing their teeth. Our little girl still has one of her dew claws and Tierney was careful to trim it with care. She even used a hand drier as they were a little scared of the general one. When I arrived to pick them up, the pups were happy and looked great. She even gave them a bow and bandana! Highly recommended.

    My dog has a lot of medical issues and has a thick double coat that grows SO FAST. shayna is always very accommodating and makes my baby feel at home. she hates getting groomed but every time shayna grooms her she is very calm and comes out extra pretty. if i could give live laugh bark 10 stars i would! tierney is another groomer here and she groomed my pomeranian and did a great job. shayna and tierney are also very friendly and do a great job with putting you at ease and letting you know your baby will be taken care of.

    These ladies are absolutely wonderful! I have an older shihpoo and they did wonders for her. They cut her exactly how I was wanting. My pup was happy, smelled good and looked amazing when we left. The cute little bows were a big plus. Thank you ladies!

    Definitely great place for your pups, used to go to Aquia Grooming but they went down hill and these too ladies really did amazing opening their own place. It feels extremely inviting and the curb side assistance can't compare. They will treat your pups like family and always keep you updated on how they are. Would recommend to anyone looking for a groomer for their fur babies

    Great service, wonderful staff. Did a great cut on my dog JoJo. Very responsive and great customer service. Books up fast.

    So happy they had a appointment available since a lot were not taking new clients with big dogs. They did a great job with my doodle.

    Just moved to the stafford area and was looking for a groomer for my YorkiePoo. They did a great job on her cut and I definitely recommend!

This is a dog that is already anxious and nervous and had never been to a groomer (we always just bathed and brushed them ourselves at home). In light of everything, I wanted to get her a good bath and cleaned up and since the weather at the time was very cold and rainy I needed to find a groomer. SO... THIS PLACE WAS GREAT! They were great with her, they were gentle and kind and patient. They recommended a time for me to bring her in when there would not be a lot of other dogs there and they called me within two or three hours to let me know she would be ready in 20 minutes. Our dog looked great, and I think she felt good too... she is cleaned up and I swear she sheds A LOT less. Justin and Sarah were so friendly and sweet and I know they were to our dog also because she was wagging her tale and seemed totally at ease when we picked her up. I wish I had written this review earlier (our visit was about two weeks ago) because they certainly deserve all five stars. We will be back at the end of January and will make it a regular appointment because it was so worth it. Five stars all around!!!

In the notes I put for this groom, I requested that the dog's tail not me cut. My mom dropped my dog off while I was on Facetime with her. I heard the groomer ask my mom about the tail and I heard my mom said "Please do not cut her tail." The groomer says okay, I see that here in the notes. Of course we get a dog with a cut tail. We decided to brush it off because we really have never had any problems with this PetSmart before. On 8/19/2024, we decided to go back for the same service and the same dog. We ordered the summer plus package which includes, a bandana, cookie, and coupon book. We are frequent customers of Petsmart, especially with the addition of a new puppy, so the coupon book was something I was looking forward too. My dad went to pick up the dog and she did not receive the coupon book. When I called Petsmart about 30 minutes after her groom to let them know she never received the book, she told me to come back and we will give her all that stuff she never got in the first place. I'm at work so I wasn't able to go and my dad had left 30 minutes ago and with traffic, returning back was just not an option. I did let the manager know this and that I lived an hour away. She said that she would mail the items. I waited for about a week and received nothing. So I reached out to PetSmart customer service to express my extreme frustration with the groomers just not following the notes and then to top it off not giving me services I paid for and also saying they were going to mail something and did not do it. After speaking with customer service, the extremely rude Kayla Shaw decided to email me back (in the picture) saying that she is sorry I did not get the items mailed to me on 08/21. As of November 10 (three months later), these items still have not made it to me. If she found the time to email and mail the items, why was a tracking number not provided? These items were never sent in the first place. Also, instead of just giving me the items I never received, she added a $10 certificate for my next groom. I told her that I was not interested in that and I just really wanted my items. I sent this message to customer service at Petsmart again. Kayla calls my phone and she left a voice message in the most sarcastic tone ever how she would loveeee to have a phone conversation with me since I'm sending emails, as if I would be afraid to speak on the phone to her. I called her back and at the end of the conversation, she then replies to come in for a full refund. I found it very interesting after I got on the phone not rude or anything, how her sarcastic tone of voice suddenly changed. I guess she was expecting me to be rude, but I am nothing like her and have no reason to be rude to people. We eventually got the refund about a month later and I was satisfied. If my services were never rendered, the only option is a refund. I got my refund and said I would never return to this location. I thought nightmare with this location was over. I go to book my dog for a bath here in Alexandria. Come to find out Kayla blocked my dog from being booked at every PetSmart location that exists. At this point I am FURIOUS. My dog has never done anything wrong. Petsmart Stafford dropped the ball. You all don't follow grooming notes and you have a spiteful store manager. Your solution is to block a customer from grooming at all Petsmart locations??? I was able to get the block off from Shelby and she said she would forward this information to Kayla. I'm imagining she is going to put the block on again because yes I did file yet another complaint, because I refuse to let Kayla be the bully she thinks she is.

    After posting my reviews, I received a phone call from one of the trainers apologizing for not…read moreresponding to my inquiry. She was very kind and explained a mix up regarding emails with the owner. No big deal; these things happen. I appreciated her apology. She did inform me that they do not train in the kind of scent work I am looking for, and she sadly doesn't know anyone near my location who does. My only suggestion would be for the owner, since they are the ones who receive the emails. It might be best to respond to the customer in an email and state something to the effect of, "Colonial K9 has received your request and we will be forwarding your message to the respective trainer. Please let us know if a trainer has not gotten in contact with you in the next 48/72 hours." This way the customer knows their email has been seen and read. Otherwise, the customer feels their request wasn't taken seriously. Additionally, a reminder message or task could be created within the Microsoft 360 platform and be sent to the trainers. Just some ideas to help the customers and trainer so a customer isn't lost due to mistakes. Thank you again for the apology. It is appreciated. I have bumped my review up from two stars to fours stars. **Original Review** ***I have not used their services***This is only a review based on communication, or lack thereof*** On 08MAY2024, I called Colonial K9 to inquire about dog training; specifically scent work. I have been looking for a solid trainer since moving here. It has not been easy finding a reputable trainer. During the phone call, I was told to send an email because emails go straight to the owner. The owner will review the email and either respond personally, or the owner will send the email to the respective trainer. I thanked the person who I spoke with and promptly sent an email detailing my dog training needs. By 15MAY2024, I still hadn't received a response from Colonial K9. As a result, I sent another email and stated; "I am following up from my attached email as I have not received a response. If you are unable to help us, it's understandable. I would appreciate it if you could give us a referral on a trainer who can help." As of today, 24MAY2024, I have yet to receive a response. I am not sure where the disconnect is. All I want to do is find a solid trainer to continue with scent work training. I guess Colonial K9 isn't interested in assisting. Copy that!
