They do very well with last minute appointments. It's the first place that our dog doesn't get stressed to be groomed

Excellent grooming experience! I am switching from our vet who also does grooming because the cost was getting crazy! PetMan was affordable and they did well with my cockapoo. Affordable, friendly, good grooming outcome, and timely service with not a long wait to get an appointment. This is my new groomer! read more

Bobbi has been grooming my Bichon, Nico for the past 12 years. He's a nervous little guy, but he loves Bobbi. I just recently got a puppy, Gianna, another Bichon. She is a handful, as are a lot of pups, and Bobbi also does a tremendous job grooming her. You can see for yourself! read more

PetMan Grooming - Victoria after being groomed - Pet Groomers Near Me - Fredericksburg, Virginia

stephanie the groomer is pretty good , however if you have a curly haired dog they always charge a 20 dematting fee . my dog had mats in the beginning and thankfully after bringing him here I learned how to properly care for his fur (again thanks to his groomer ). However even after his fur was not matted they still charged the fee because it would take time to brush out even though they have to brush every dog before a bath ... he was not shaved just trimmed . The receptionist (also named stephanie )was very rude about it and said it was because I always brought my pet in matted when that was not the case at all . The groomer also stated that if the dog comes back after the first couple of times matted they would just assume the owner hasn't learned their lesson and charge them that . When I came back to pick up my pet the receptionist handed me my dog and said he had red spots on his groin area because of the "very tight Matt's " and would just have bruising ( that had never happened even when he was severely matted in the beginning) . He was NOT matted today just needed a brush and trim along with the nail trim that's included . I always tip the groomer and pay the fee but it seems they've gotten into the habit of charging it anyway just because he has curly hair . (He's a Maltipoo) . The other receptionist ,Chris Is really nice and Steph is the best groomer there , if it was an accident I understand but to blame me for the red bruise just to try to prove a point was unprofessional on the receptionist part . Don't know how I feel about going back after the incident and after reading their aggressive responses to reviews . P.S The service should be 65+ for small dogs but I alway end up paying 90-100 . I also paid at drop off . read more

Pricey, but the best around. Whenever we have needed to get our dog an appointment, the people at Petman are polite, friendly, and they make it work! My dog isn't stuck in a kennel, but more of a small room with a half door. That's such a better fit for her. She comes home pretty and smelling great! read more

I would not recommend Petman Grooming , very dishonest owners! They changed their rates and they advertise it when you walk in, and prices are based on your pets weight. They also have a chart/advertisement when you walk in with the weights and prices. You can weigh your animal and it shows you the price. When you pick up your animal they up charge you and say they had to do all these things and extras to your animal without your permission or notification. So your price is much higher. Terrible and so sad. read more

This place is the absolute best! I take my Bernese Mountain dog/ Aussie mix here and they ALWAYS do a phenomenal job. The lady at the front desk is so nice and personable and yet so professional. The people there really care about the well being of the dogs, and take as much time as they need for each dog so the dogs have a positive experience. I have tried many places in the Stafford/ Fredericksburg area and this place is hands down the best! The prices are fair and the job is amazing! 10/10 in my book! Oh and each time he goes my dog either gets a bow tie or a regular tie! Amazing place! read more

They do a good job for trimming nails for 90 pound dog. Their charges are fair and employees are welcoming.

Hope has been grooming my maltipoo for almost a year now and does a great job! When she moved to Pet Man Grooming, I followed her there. My maltipoo gets nervous during grooming, but now when I pick her up she isn't freaked out or scared. They are also super efficient. When I use to take my dog to the big grooming stores, I would be waiting all day to get the call that my dog was done. I've never had a problem with my dog not getting groomed on time. They also are really great with last minute appointments. Highly recommend taking your pets here! read more

$65.00 for "Bath, nails and brush" They were unable to clip his nails stating he is a puller. At first no discount but after I complained they only deducted $5. The most expensive bath I have paid for my dog. Still need his nails clipped. read more

I can not say enough great things about this groomer. They do a great job on my 2 dogs. My dog is 16 Yrs. old and deaf and they are wonderful with him. I also like the fact that your dog is not put in a cage . They allow them to play around or put them in a play pen like thing. They do a great job grooming and trimming nails. I definitely recommend everyone bring their fur baby here....YOU WONT REGRET IT. read more

Omg! This place totally "blew my mind"! Came with no expectations and decided to try it out after a neighbor recommended it, but still sounded to good to be true. I have 3 English bulldogs and not one likes their toe nails cut. Our vet charges $24 to cut them plus a tech visit fee and take an hour at the minimum. I pulled up and asked the young lady if she could accommodate us and she said yes! Bring them in! Brought them in one at a time. Oldest first, hard-headed 5 yr. old, Opie, he went back with no issues. Grabbed the next one and another girl got him and got the next one and by then, they were handing them back and their nails were cut! WTH? And the dogs weren't freaking out! Opie even had a hang nail and a nice lady came and showed it to me and explained how to TCB when I get him home. Everyone was done in 20-25 minutes tops and it only cost $30 cash. I was so pleased I gave them all my cash for a tip. Thank you for being my new favorite place. read more

Outstanding service. My two 14 year old yorkies we're happier after grooming than before. That's a first!

They do great work! Our dogs always look wonderful! They spend the time to discuss the cut when you arrive. Prices are comparable to other groomers. Only concern I have is that they leave the dogs waiting out front in the lobby for pick up, like all together. To me, that seems like a liability issue if one dog bites another. read more

Love this groomer for several reasons. I could book my appointment online for the next day, they were super friendly on arrival, texted when she was ready , did a beautiful cut with bandana and were friendly at pickup. I like how it is more personal than a Petco or PetSmart! Love small businesses like this. read more

Absolutely amazing place to take your baby! I was initially going to take my Yorkie to PetSmart, but did not like the 4 hour timeframe they provided. The front staff and Ms. Hope who took care of my puppy was very kind and knowledgable on caring for my puppy. I would recommend 6 stars! The prices are very reasonable and it only took one hour to bathe, comb, trim, and file his nails. Also they use all natural products! My puppy is extremely happy and loved the staff ! I will definitely return in 6 weeks! I'm a happy mommy read more

I love how much they love dogs here! I travel over an hour each way to Petman grooming and it is absolutely worth the drive. The owners are always there and enjoy every dog that walks through the front gate. It's extremely clean, friendly, professional and affordable. Dogs can have water and walk around if they are chill or have a private room if they prefer solitude. My 4 dogs used to shake going into the big box store groomers and come back nervous recks, now they come back mellow and beautiful! Ask for Stephanie if you want show quality style, she's the absolute best groomer I've ever had in my 15 years of owning tiny fluffy pups! read more

I have been taking my puppy to PetMan Grooming for a couple months and have been beyond pleased with their services. They do a great job!! They even called with concerns when my puppy wasn't acting like himself. It's nice to know that they like to build and maintain relationships with not just the owners but the actual dogs themselves. read more

Just took my dog here and the first impression was great! The place is VERY clean and the staff was super friendly. You could tell that they genuinely love animals. My dog was not thrilled that he was not at Dogtopia and did not want to go in at all. We finally got him in the door and he was petted and talked too until he was comfortable. About an hour later they called and said he was ready. They were playing fetch with him when I got there and he did NOT want to leave~ His hair cut looks great and we are both very pleased. Looking forward to seeing Susan in a month for his next grooming. Oh and first time clients get a free tooth brushing and nail grinding~ Oh and it is in the center across Plantation Rd from Pancho Villa and behind the Mc Donalds~ read more

This new location I visited recently, I had write a review. The owner has positive mind and passion about the pets grooming in with hearts. So hard to find mindful business now days. The caring and attics are exceptional!. I like the idea of try to limits in the cage while they waiting befor after. I will be comfortable to bring my loving cat and dog. I have visiting my sisters house nearby and I discover this place will be handy taking care two things at once. I am pleased the experience I had and wish you the best. So I could happy to bring my family!. read more

I am so glad Soo came to town! My dobies go regularly and I HIGHLY recommend this groomer! Their coat is like silk, she reports anything to me that I should be concerned about and she keeps the door locked so no chance for a run away dog. Once your pooch is groomed and waiting, she has small round pens in the lobby for them to play in while they wait for your return. When asked to show what she sanitizes with, she gladly took me to the back and showed me everything and how they perform the cleaning=PRICELESS! If you are looking for a fantastic groomer for any size or hair length THIS IS THE PLACE!!!! read more

My husband and I just moved to Fredericksburg and needed a new groomer. Our dog Fawkes is very nervous and shy, but when we arrived, the staff spent time feeding him treats and getting him used to new surroundings. When I picked him up, he looked great and seemed very comfortable and happy. Also, his appointment was less than two hours, which is four hours less than what I'm used to at our old salon!!! Very pleased with the results and will be returning! read more

They did an amazing job on my 2 big girls! I went here for the first time to get my dogs fully groomed, a lab mix age 4 and shepherd mix age 2 and I was a little bit nervous because I know they hate baths, nail trims and anything to do with getting clean. But they came out squeaky clean, and happy. I thought the pricing was more than reasonable for the services and I will definitely return here again. read more

My dog has always hated going to the groomer until now. I like that they aren't stuck in a cage when they are done. They listen to me and do exactly what I ask. Their prices are the same as anyone else's and they do a better job. I drive about 20 miles to go to Petman. We are very pleased with their services and would highly recommend them. read more

THE BEST! If you're looking for fantastic grooming check this place out! Took my dog Tucker for the first time today and I LOVED it (he did too.) Not only does he look great, but they took pictures of him to show me when I picked him up, it only took them two hours and he was happily relaxing in the waiting room when I pulled up to get him. It's run by two of the sweetest ladies who really seem to go above and beyond! Consider making the switch and supporting a worthy local business if your currently getting your dog groomed at one of the big box stores- super competitive prices, amazing customer service and a much better experience for your pet! read more

Based on Yelp reviews, we brought our 2 West Highland White Terriers (Wilson and Jasper) to PetMan Grooming for the first time yesterday...the boys hadn't been groomed for some time so PetMan probably had a lot of work to do ;-)...we were really impressed with how the grooming worked! Wilson and Jasper have never looked or smelled so good! Hey everyone, it took me a long time to post this review because I just don't understand how all the other reviews are so great. I had my baby girl groomed at this place and when I got her home she kept licking and scratching herself in multiple areas. When I checked her I saw that my girl was cut and had abrasions from the grooming in multiple areas. One of the larger abrasions from the clippers was right above her eye. My dog is a mini golden doodle that is calm loving as they come. For these people to do this to my dog and not to mention it when I picked her up is unbelievable. I was so angry and devastated and sad. After that my baby girl did not want to go to the groomers anymore, she was scared. These people do not understand that when we bringing our dogs they're not just dogs they are our babies. My dogs are very important to me. I maintain their health and their well-being. I nurture them mentally and physically. I will never take my babies to this place ever again. The haircuts look great but I do not need the physical and mental damage that they do. They should be ashamed of themselves. If you love your dog and are worried about their well-being do not take them here. read more

Our dog's ear got cut by this groomer! Yes, you heard it right, not nipped but cut! They've cut a portion of his left ear! The groomer did not inform us that they've cut our dog's ear during grooming not until at pick up time when we saw our dog was wearing a big bandage on his ear! Yes, they paid for the vet bills because we insisted but our dog was traumatized and had to endure a long healing process & the wearing of the so called cone of shame! I had to take care of putting his ear medicine and give him his antibiotic for days. I know this happened a few months ago but I thought it is our due diligence to put this review up here as I see all these 5 star reviews on this groomer! I'm glad that others have had a great experience with this groomer but we obviously had a VERY HORRIBLE AND TERRIFYING one with this groomer and now have a phobia trying new ones and are careful with trusting reviews of consumers! I had to give a rating of one since they would not allow my post but my rating is really a BIG FAT ZERO!!!! read more
