I got a new groomer named Jayla I believe and omg she was awesome. At first i showed her a picture for an example that had a bit too much hair and when i asked if maybe i could come in another time to get it a bit shorter. Right then and there she took the time to get my baby perfect. They had great customer service and there was a cute doggy helping at the front desk :) read more

We have been coming to dog krazy the past 4 years since my dog was a baby, unfortunately we have seen a change. We used to always receive a text or call reminder to confirm the appointments & that is no longer being done. I took my dog for a grooming appointment recently & I automatically saw that his haircut was uneven around his ear. I also called to schedule for a grooming appointment & the staff told me to come in on a Sunday (which I guess there is no groomers on a Sunday) we do not live close, we live in Ladysmith & drive 25-30 minutes to take him here so we arrive to his appointment & the staff was automatically confused & mentioned to us that there is no groomers that he was scheduled for a wash only. We are always thankful for the groomers, we know that it is not an easy job to do. read more

We're ecstatic that the staff was able to help us with our bath-phobic dog. Now, we used to give our dog prescription sedatives from the vet just to bathe him, because he was so terrified he would physically fight, and we were afraid this 74-lb dog would bite. Other groomers turned him away because he was too resistant. Dog Krazy staff took their time getting to know Toby, and even let him tour their grooming area. On bath day, the groomer somehow helped him feel comfortable. He went from tail between the legs terrified, to prancing around the store showing off his new look. What a relief! From now on, we'll visit the friendly experts here for all of Toby's grooming. read more

I am in love with this place. It has so much goodies I can pick from and the prices are not too steep. Compared to other places and big time stores. Lots of treats, dog food and attire to choose from. Sizes range from little puppies or kittens to big dogs. Love the choices we had. Make sure to check their display case full of dog friendly birthday cakes and birthday treats! My fur baby went crazy over them. Will definitely be going back and letting my friends and family know about them. I cannot wait to go back and purchase dog bones and other snacks. Overall, would highly recommend this place! read more

Scammer Alert! We dropped off our dog for a grooming appointment. This was not the first time he had been groomed at Dog Krazy. An hour after dropping off our dog we received a call from the groomer. She said that our dog smelled like a skunk and he caused the entire grooming room to stink. She said she cannot bathe or groom him because she had to sanitize the room. They told us to come get him immediately, and it was a $200 charge. They did not bathe or groom him and they would not release him until we paid $200. We paid and got our dog back, and he did not stink. We have called and emails the owners to request a refund or credit. They denied. Do not go here, they are scammers. read more

Quoted one price then after the service charged an extra $20. Wish I knew before I tipped.

You could easily break the bank in this store with all the fun snacks they have for pups. The staff were very friendly and the prices were comparable to what I've seen at chain pet stores read more

Really liked it they were super fast and friendly. Pup was super tired after the visit.

I am totally disappointed in our grooming session with this organization. I called weeks in advance to make sure that they knew how to groom a Coton-De-Tulear. I was assured that the groomer was an expert with years of experience. My husband took our dog in today, with his hair being approximately 4-5 inches in length. He came back shaved. The excuse was he was matted; this is the answer you get with an inexperienced groomer. Dog Krazy is not the place for a professional cut. read more

They're always super nice and helpful. I really enjoy bringing my puppy there. Love the staff xx

Everyone at Dog Krazy at their downtown Fredericksburg location are super friendly, caring and knowledgeable. They always greet you with a warm welcome and a smile and spend time with you to answer questions and find the right food for your pet. They are patient and you can tell that they love the great work that they do. I never feel rushed. I have been shopping there for the past 5 years and would not go anywhere else. The customer service is top notch ; the best if the best! Jamie has helped me over and over again when placing an online order. She is so very patient, loving and caring ; always making me feel like I am the only customer that she is focusing on. Jamie gives her heart and soul and it truly shows that she enjoys the work that she does. She is an asset to the store and the company. I appreciate her so much. Thank you Jamie for always helping me. You are a treasure! read more

We recently went to the new Stafford location and had our boys groomed by Jesse. When we first walked in with the boys the first thing you notice is the excellent customer service. Every person working greeted us and our boys. Jesse came right out and made sure the boys were comfortable and explained everything to us before taking them back. We could hear her talking to them and it made us feel good about leaving them there. My husband and I looked around a bit as it was our first time there and we wanted to see what they had to offer. We were shocked at the amount of knowledge the staff had in English Bulldogs! They offer a variety of healthy food, treats and toys. When we received the call to pick up the boys they were so happy and you could tell that they loved being there. We look forward to bringing the boys back and shopping for all of our boys need at Dog Krazy! read more

Had my old fluffy dog, Lilly, groomed here today by Melinda. She did a fantastic job. Lilly needed to be shaved and bathed. She looks phenomenal, smells great, and even got a cute bandana. She was in and out in a very reasonable amount of time, and she didn't seem as stressed as she usually is when leaving a groomer/or vets office. I just wanted to say thank you for treating her so well, being so kind, and making her look so pretty. read more

Dog Krazy now refers to the groomer upstairs as well (formerly known as Fur the Love of Dog) and that is what this review is mostly about. My boyfriend and I decided to give our 5 month old Maltese her first haircut. As you can imagine, being the first haircut on my first puppy I was feeling a little...well paranoid I suppose. We called ahead to check the price & to make an appointment. They quoted us $55 which includes ear cleaning, a bath, nail trimming and a haircut. Although $55 was a little higher than some of the other places I asked around, the former Fur the Love of Dog had the best reviews so I booked it for 1p. After reviewing my day's schedule, I decided that 1p would be a little too hectic so I asked if I can push the appointment back. The receptionist offered 2p which worked out great since the process ended up taking about 3 hours. Ashley informed us that it doesn't normally take that long, but said she wanted to take her time with our puppy since it was the puppy's first haircut. Ashley even asked how we liked to have her cut hair!! Great first impression. When we came back, our little puppy didn't seem traumatized, smelled great and looked great!! I almost didn't recognize her! I'll let the pictures do the talking. Ashley even gave us a $10 discount since she was so small. Needless to say I will be coming back to Ashley for all of her future cuts. As for the pet store below: they have a huge variety of snacks and treats with lots of unique toys. The ladies working the cashier were very friendly and helpful. My boyfriend and I couldn't help ourselves but buy a little treat for our puppy for being so good with her first haircut. read more

I love this place. I stopped by for the first time today and fell in love with it already. The store manager , Meg, was super super friendly and very very helpful in explaining about the store and everything. To have someone so caring about what she does.....definitely shows the amazing place to work for and what an incredible person Meg is ! Also one of the staff members, Keri, was so helpful in picking out a treat for my dog who has a very sensitive tummy. I just love everything about this store and everybody who works there ! So I will definitely spread the good words and absolutely love to support small business owners, as I am too! So definitely very glad to support each other ! I will visit again..... read more

We usually take our Labradoodle to DogKrazy downtown and we've had nothing but positive experiences with Genevieve! We took our dog this past Saturday to the Cosner's Corner location and the grooming was horrible, Rachel the groomer was unprofessional and she claimed that our dog was matted, she proceeded to do a horrible haircut on him! Our doodle has big clumps of hair cut off of his coat and it wasn't blended to cover up her errors! She also cut our doodles nails to short and sent him out with his nails bleeding! When we confronted her about this she said there was no blood on the floor so she doesn't know how his nails were injured! She didn't even give us a suggestion on how to treat his nails! She did not take responsibility for anything that she had done! Be very careful of the groomer that you pick for your furbaby! Also my husband had to wait 30 minutes to retrieve our dog and pay because there were no staff up front to help him checkout! read more

I've taken our dogs to groomers before but our groomer Lori at the downtown Fredericksburg Dog Krazy location did an awesome job on our 95 lb lab. We literally cannot get over how good he looks. The shedless treatment is worth every penny. We can't stop petting him. His fur looks better than ever and he was so happy when we picked him up. He really was visibly unhappy at our last groomer so I decided to try something new. Dog Krazy was more expensive than my last groomer but with the noticeable difference I have to say you get what you pay for. read more

Took my dog to Lee's Hill location, in Fredericksburg, VA a week ago to be groomed. He came back with fleas. Lots of them. I left a message for the grommers, no response. Nancy knows her stuff!! I messaged her about concerns of a potential food allergy with my German shepherd, sent a picture of her symptoms, and Nancy told me she thought it was lupus. So we made an apt with a vet for a biopsy and low and behold - she has lupus! We never would have guessed as we were told her nose was just dry and to moisturize it. Without Nancy our pup would have gone untreated. Next time we are in the store, we will be discussing different food/treat and holistic options. I highly recommend bringing up any concerns about your pet to Nancy and her staff because they are so incredibly capable of helping you! read more

I AM IN LOVE! I came in today with my dog Lexi for our first visit into the store. The staff working was super sweet and gave Lexi all kinds of love and attention. I came in looking for treats for her and a gift for a friend. The ladies working were helpful but not pushy. The selection of treats was great, they are a little expensive but you are paying for quality, and I'm ok with that. They even let Lexi do a walk in nail trim. I was very impressed by the groomer who took care of her. To sum it up we got great stuff, made new friends, and got our nails did! I will be back!!! read more

I don't have enough positive things to say about this place and the staff. As a member of the community fell I. Love with how active and connected this store is to other organizations. I volunteer with the Fredericksburg SPCA and Dog Krazy opened its doors and let us hold a fundraising bake sale here. I know they support and work with other organizations as well but at this moment I can't recall which ones. As a pet parent I fell in love with this place because it's so welcoming. Everyone has always been so nice and provide great suggestions for treats and toys. My puppy is an olde English bulldog and during the last visit the owner came up and said "oh my gosh I can't believe how big he's getting!" It sounds silly but just her remembering our dog showed how much she cares about her customers. It was nice to feel like I want just another sale. Of course Buster loves this place as well. He's a fan of the bakery section. No trip is complete without a Steelers decorated cookie! read more

I've been in Fredericksburg for almost 4 years and this place has rocked since day one! The staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and just great people. The store is always stocked, clean, inviting and convenient. The owner is out of this world the greatest dog person and she also believes in rescuing dogs, new and elderly. She supports the community and also other small businesses. I personally recommend Dog Krazy to everyone I know, both locally and those friends and family I have visiting! read more

This place really doesn't care about customer service or the wellness of your pet. It's all about the money and not about what is Right. We are all about supporting local small businesses but that also in return means taking care of your customers. Well they do not and make no bones about it. This will be the last time we go out of our way for them. As s matter of fact I will be a spokes person for letting people know how we were treated. I have gone online and found the same food a little less expensive and with free delivery. Try it on Amazon. read more

We thought our dog was going to die, literally. She is a 9 yo Staffy. She wouldn't walk or move her back legs, couldn't get up to go out to the potty, wouldn't stand up or eat and yelped when you'd pick her up to take her down the stairs. we didn't have the money for a vet visit. I came in to Dog Krazy and they advised CBD oil would do wonders. I was VERY skeptical, but the associate was very confident in their product. It took a couple days to really start to work, but here we are almost a month later and she is so active, hyper and back to her old self again. It's amazing and I recommend these guys to any and everyone with a fur family member. They definitely know what their doing. Thanks!! read more

I go here all the time, employees are always super helpful and nice. My dog loves it.

Do NOT attempt to take your pet here for grooming!!! I contacted them twice in advance about grooming my dog with cancer and related sores. But when I arrived they said that they would not because it would be stressful to them, the groomers. And because he had a sore, as I disclosed. They informed me that I had to have a vet groom him. He vet of 14 years has NEVER indicated this. I was trying to support a local business. But me and my FOUR pets, which regularly get spoiled by $35 bones and other goodies, will be taking all our business elsewhere, and suggest you do the same. I would rather go to a business that actually CARES. PS Just to make it clear they knew in advance, we even discussed in the call using special shampoo to help him. AND the dog was nothing but sweet when we were there. This is ALL on THEM. PPS I should note that the women working the register was horrified by her colleagues, and followed me out to tell me her dog has cancer and wouldn't want him treated like this. Cleats nice person whose lead and heart others there should try to follow. read more

Stopped by Dog Krazy today and was blown away at how much friendlier and more helpful they are than most pet shops or supply stores around town. Juli helped us from the moment we walked in and all the workers were elated to see a pup they get to pet and say hello to. She was VERY helpful in finding some new toys and treats for our fur baby. She even informed us about a lot of things we didn't know dietary wise and seemed very knowledgeable. Not only that, but they gave our pup a free ice cream while we were there and were very gracious about how excited she was the whole time. Not to mention their prices are very reasonable and they have tons of organic and human-grade food options. Our dog isn't the easiest to bring in stores with us, but they made it a breeze. Thank you so much Dog Krazy and Juli for being above and beyond. We will DEFINITELY be back soon. read more

Definitely going back! I got my Maltese puppy groomed there by Rachel and she was very polite and actually cared about how I wanted my pups cut to turn out! As a young dog owner (22 y/o) I felt as if groomers from other places I've been seem quick to belittle me for looking young and assuming I have little knowledge on how to care for my dog, however I was treated respectfully and professionally from all the staff at Dog Krazy. Everyone was very approachable and eager to help me find the right treats for his sensitive tummy! I talked to Sabrina while shopping and she was extremely knowledgeable about everything they had to offer, as well as all the ins and outs of dogs and their typical habits. Prices were decent and affordable for what I was looking for. They have a dog pastry section with all sorts of cute goodies to choose from. read more

I would give six stars if I could! I love coming to this shop but what finally prompted me to write a review was the compassion and kindness from the employees at Dog Krazy. This morning my 4 month old pup got into a little scuffle with another dog (okay, the other dog lunged at him, it's owner dropped the leash, and the dog went after my puppy) so my pup was a little shaken up and upset. I wasn't planning on coming in to Dog Krazy but I wanted to distract my puppy after the scary experience so we stepped inside. I was pretty upset so I told the employees about what happened and they were there to comfort me and my puppy! They gave him lots of pets and positive reinforcement (and treats after double checking with me that he doesn't have any allergies) and listened to me ramble about the incident... it seems small but their genuine kindness was so refreshing! It was just what pup and I needed after our traumatic encounter. It really turned both of our days around. You guys rock! read more

I love this place!! The owner is a certified pet nutritionist, and has helped me tremendously with all of my dogs, and cat!!

I've been going to Dog Krazy since I moved to Fredericksburg. We own two Norwegian Elkhounds, and they've always been welcomed here. In fact, there have been many Mommy/Son days where my male and I come in where the staff curl up on the floor and cuddle him. They're dog people first and foremost, and Nancy, the owner, is amazing with advice on nutrition, toy requirements, etc. I was just in there today and spent a good ten minutes on the floor with someone else's puppy while she decorated my dogs ornaments. I will be shopping here for the rest of my life. I don't think I have a choice; my dogs LOVE the pumpkin treats and the ladies that work there. read more
