It's a cool little cafe, done out with old canteen style furniture and big black boards on the walls for menu's. The menu ranges from bacon sandwiches, panini's and my absolute fav is the macaroni cheese which is served with a small salad and pancetta, seriously this is incredible!! The coffee is good, you get the usuals long black, flat whites etc with out all the poncey, posh stuff and it's all reasonably priced, they do take outs as well I frequently pick in up on the way to work! There's plenty of seating outside with a nice sun awning which on a day like today it's needed! It's all reasonably priced, and they have free wifi so that's a bonus! I'm only giving this four stars as I think they could make it a bit more welcoming, it's not the warmest of atmospheres and could do with 'warming up a bit'. Having said that the macaroni more than makes up for it, so I'll keep going back!

The cafe is a hole in the wall with communal seating and a few other tables inside and some outside. It's a bit packed inside but still quite charming with all the mismatched colorful decor. The service was sweet and efficient. Once seated, we were provided the menus and had our orders taken. The food came out fast and we paid at the front. I don't normally eat breakfast and got the Granola. It was fine--your typical yogurt, granola, and berries. It was tart, crunchy, and sweet--they provide a side of honey. I had half and gave the rest away because I wasn't hungry. Also ordered were the Bubble and Squeak and Fruit Pancakes. Oh my gosh, I had multiple bites of the Bubble and Squeak because it was so good! If I were hungrier I'd order this for myself. It's a delicious harmony of savory filling goodness. Experience at 10am on a Saturday…read more I visited the Green Bird Cafe in Bath after seeing all the glowing reviews, and to be fair, things started off well. The food was good, service was pleasant -- until the cafe got busy. That's when the experience soured. After finishing our meal, we were leisurely enjoying the last sips of our coffee, preparing to pay and leave. But instead of being allowed to finish on our own terms, we were asked -- quite bluntly -- to shuffle down across a table to make room for more customers. It was awkward, unnecessary, and frankly, made us feel like cattle being herded to optimise their table turnover. In all my years of dining, brunching, and travelling across multiple countries, I've never encountered a request like that in any cafe or restaurant. It completely undercut what was an otherwise good experience and left us with a bitter aftertaste -- quite literally and figuratively. To top it off, staff seemed to disappear when it came time to address the issue, save for one person who eventually surfaced to take some feedback. But by then, the damage was done. Sadly, I won't be returning. If the priority is quantity over quality of experience, I'd rather spend my time and money elsewhere.
